MDC 5,891 Posted October 15, 2014 If anyone ever finds this movie, PLEASE let me know immediately. This looks like a MUST see. I doubt this ever makes it to Netflix. It's a US continuation of a japanese series from the 80s, you can probably find the originals online.

posty 2,296 Posted October 28, 2014 Kill List (2011) was the last horror movie to seriously fock my head up for days and it was absolutely awesome and is streaming on Netflix right now. It's a little slow starting but stay with it, trust me. Just watched Kill List... Kind of disappointing... I mean it was good, but kind of expected some of that ending... MDC 5,891 Posted October 28, 2014 Just watched Kill List... Kind of disappointing... I mean it was good, but kind of expected some of that ending... I thought it was awesome, extremely original mix of genres and very creepy, gave me a similar feeling if mounting dread as The Shining and a few other films. I don't know, I didn't think it was that creepy... Maybe I am just immune to that kind of stuff... Don't get me wrong, I liked the movie, it just wasn't top notch for me... But please do keep the movies coming...

IGotWorms 3,315 Posted October 30, 2014 I thought my new Roku player was focking with my wifi, so I disconnected it and canceled Netflix. Turns out the damn baby monitor was the culprit. Boy do I feel dumberer.

kutulu 1,545 Posted October 31, 2014 Peaky Blinders One scene toward the end (season 1 six episodes) was kind of hokey I thought, but overall a real good show IMO. Kind of a cross bewtween the sopranos, boardwalk and the godfather with a splach of snatch (cause of the accents)

kutulu 1,545 Posted November 29, 2014 Peaky Blinders 2nd season came out a few weeks ago...better than the 1st imo. recommend this show.
MDC 5,891 Posted November 29, 2014 Some recent indie American thrillers I liked: Cold in July feat. Don Johnson of Miami Vice was a really good gritty Texas noir. Also really liked Blue Ruin a lot. And if I haven't mentioned Cheap Thrills with the guy from Anchorman / Parks and Rec that was a seriously twisted and fun black comedy.
naomi 343 Posted November 29, 2014 2nd season came out a few weeks ago...better than the 1st imo. recommend this show. It's such an intense show. I loved the second season with the exception of all gratuitous sexuality. My dad has gotten into it too but it's not something I'd watch with him. Way too uncomfortable. posty 2,296 Posted November 29, 2014 I watched the 2010 "I Spit On Your Grave" last night... Wow, the acting was horrible... The only redeeming thing was that "Tucker & Dale vs. Evil" was on after it so I watched that as well...

naomi 343 Posted November 30, 2014 Sex isn't a bad thing naomi, sorry you were raised to think otherwise Not sure if you're trolling me but that's a really trite assumption made about people with religious faith. There's a reason the word gratuitous exists. No father and daughter want to be in the same room while what's essentially porn is playing on the TV. Or most wouldn't. The bible doesn't teach that 'sex is bad.' We're all designed to like it. Nothing wrong with that.

MDC 5,891 Posted November 30, 2014 Watched the Babadook on demand last night. This was a horror movie for parents about parenting. First hour was incredibly tense but it didn't really know how to resolve itself. Overall though pretty decent horror film.

kutulu 1,545 Posted February 15, 2015 Not my typical recommendations, more like flicks you can deal with to watch with your SO... Chef kind of a father son with tangents movie Beginners relationship flick, love, father, mother
IGotWorms 3,315 Posted February 15, 2015 Chef was good. Have not seen Beginners yet but my mother in law (who surprisingly has decent taste in movies) recommended it.

kutulu 1,545 Posted February 15, 2015 Chef was good. Have not seen Beginners yet but my mother in law (who surprisingly has decent taste in movies) recommended it. Liked chef better but the other one was ok to watch with your chick, I guess. A third into this movie which is more in my wheel house is: Get Low Indie flick, Duvall, Bill Murray, sissy spacek...so far so good will update once done
naomi 343 Posted February 15, 2015 The Way with Martin Sheen (written and directed by Emilio Estevez) is good for a reflective movie. A ton of pretty scenery and some humor. The primary focus is on the controlled/repressed grief of the main character (Sheen).
Saint Elistan 106 Posted February 16, 2015 It was cancelled, but Don't Trust the B in Apartment 23 is a rather funny two season distraction.
Saint Elistan 106 Posted February 16, 2015 Also...Netflix has different titles in different regions. There is a Chrome Extension called Hola Better Internet that allows you to access websites like Netflix as a different country. For Example, my woman (36DD) asked me to switch it to Brazil so she can watch Boy Meets World - not currently available on the US Version of Netflix. It's also nifty for getting around Company or School internet blockades.
