ThatDude 9 Posted September 27, 2009 Who cares... Just like the dude slapping himself on the back for calling Forte a bust. Wow, what a great prediction and accomplishment.
Tony_Romo_Domination 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Who cares... Just like the dude slapping himself on the back for calling Forte a bust. Wow, what a great prediction and accomplishment. I am not trying to cause pain if you own slaton. I am just saying I took alot of grief from people here when I said slaton was going to bust. Just setting the record straight. P.S. I think the forte person is a girl?

Cara 0 Posted September 27, 2009 I think it was a damn fine prediction and I applaud you for not going along with the masses.
Tony_Romo_Domination 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Nice call....after week 2......Nostradumbass. How's that Romo domination thing workin' out for ya? Pretty good. Top ten Qb as of now.......... I made the slaton call in may.
Cara 0 Posted September 27, 2009 I have Romo as the QB of a couple of my teams. I got him in the 8th round of what I consider to be my best team. In several leagues, Matt Ryan and Schaub went ahead of him. I'll take Romo as my fantasy QB all day long. The value of getting him that late in the draft, along with being able to grab a great player earlier when the QB run was taking place, has made my team the front runner for another title. nobody 2,040 Posted September 27, 2009 Great call. Not as great as the dude predicting Forte would be a bust but a great call nonetheless.
Tony_Romo_Domination 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Great call. Not as great as the dude predicting Forte would be a bust but a great call nonetheless. If slaton does nothing for a third straight week; the slaton owners will be in full revolt.
dreadlocks34 0 Posted September 27, 2009 I made the slaton call in may. I was going to bump that thread for you but being you signed onto the bored in July that would probably not be very easy.
Sho Nuff 719 Posted September 27, 2009 How about that MIles Austin...freaking sleeper stud of the draft right?
enoto 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Boy I would love for Slaton to tear it up tomorrow and make this post look more stupid!
mobb_deep 917 Posted September 27, 2009 I was going to bump that thread for you but being you signed onto the bored in July that would probably not be very easy. Uh oh, he might have to bring Dallas Empire of Pimp_Taddy back for a couple posts.
RoadLizard 73 Posted September 27, 2009 If slaton does nothing for a third straight week; the slaton owners will be in full revolt. Even after three games, you cant call a player a bust. Suppose he craps out week 3 but puts up 10 TDs and 1300 total yards over the next 11 to 12 weeks? He'll be ranked high again and cannot be considered a bust. A bust is a total meltdown and a complete lack of production for probably a half season or more. I kept him from last year and will wait this out. Come talk to me in week 8 or week 9 and I'll start preparing your medal for being right.
dreadlocks34 0 Posted September 27, 2009 Even after three games, you cant call a player a bust. Though the first 7 games last season, Deangelo Williams had 348 yards rushing and zero touchdowns in 6 of those 7 games.
Dan 59 Posted September 27, 2009 Just so that I understand . . . he gets shut down by two of the top rushing defenses in the league, and it's time to throw in the towel? Gosh, that's painful. I don't mind bold predictions. I'm on board with thinking that Forte will be a bust. But I am not ready to tout my forecasting abilities on the merit of two games. phan420 0 Posted September 27, 2009 You might want to follow your own advice from your response to the "you slammed me for saying Forte would be a bust" topic... just sayin...
Tony_Romo_Domination 0 Posted September 28, 2009 Steve Slaton update week 3 76 rush 37 receiving yards this week Not horrible, but not a stud #1 RB as of now slaton is still a bust............... He has 17 fantasy points in standard leagues after 3 weeks. Almost 6 points pergame for a first round draft pick. Slaton is getting abou 40 rushing yards a game.
Sho Nuff 719 Posted September 28, 2009 Doing better than Miles Austin isn't he?

He has 17 fantasy points in standard leagues after 3 weeks. Almost 6 points pergame for a first round draft pick. 12 carries, 76 yards = > 6 yards per carry. Sounds like he did pretty well for as little as he got the ball.
16 and 33 0 Posted September 28, 2009 Steve Slaton 12-76-6.3 3-37-12.3 15-113-7.6 Crissy Brown 8-19-2.4 1 lost fumble Let's keep bumping this one all season.

enoto 0 Posted September 28, 2009 You can get guys off the waiver wire that can get your team 5-6 fantasy points a week. Foghorn Leghorn 0 Posted September 28, 2009 You can get guys off the waiver wire that can get your team 5-6 fantasy points a week. I'm gonna guess that you were at the front of the "DeAngelo Williams is a bust" line last year, weren't you?
Tango 0 Posted September 28, 2009 Up until Brown's fumble, I was ready to say that the doubters were right and that Slaton is officially in Kubiak's doghouse. But Brown's fumble might have a real effect on things.
Tony_Romo_Domination 0 Posted September 28, 2009 I'm sold. He got more carries as the season went on and didnt slow down. I look for a monster season. Perfect cut back runner for the Texans. I was reading some of the predictions and posts about slation in the Stepping up/stepping down thread a from a few months ago. Some of these are hilarious now. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...t=0&start=0 I'm sold. He got more carries as the season went on and didnt slow down. I look for a monster season. Perfect cut back runner for the Texans. Staying put - - Slaton had over 1500 total yards and 10 td's. That's a pretty solid total right there. I don't see him getting too many more td's than the 10. That being said, the guy was very productive last year, so why would management want to put a player of less talent on the field? He will get his touches and yards IMO. IF he breaks down, he breaks down so be it. Sophomore Slump - ha - that's a myth. About as silly as third year breakout for WR's Matt Jones & Mark Clayton. Staying put with 1500 total yards and 10 td's nothing behind him a rising offense if he stays healthy - thats the concern with that frame -- i can't see less than 1300 ru yards with another 50-65 rec and another 500 yds. throw in 10 -12 scores. We Tigers 71 Posted September 28, 2009 Given that he went for 113 yards today on just 15 touches, this seems like the kind of post you might want to stop bumping fairly soon.
Maxx Dread 1 Posted October 5, 2009 Slaton had 2 TDs and 18.9 fantasy points yesterday, rushing and receiving. Does the OP wish to revise his statement?
NewbieJr 540 Posted October 5, 2009 Slaton had 2 TDs and 18.9 fantasy points yesterday, rushing and receiving. Does the OP wish to revise his statement? You obviously aren't familiar with how much of an idiot Tony Romo Domination/ dallas empire/ pimpdaddy is. Let me tell you his gameplan.......he'll make dozens of horrible 'guesses' during the course of the season. If one starts out to he accurate (like this one)he'll bump it multiple times and pound his chest. If he's dead-wrong (like this thread over the last two weeks, or his classic thread about Myles Austin being a stud) he hides like a little girl. Bet your bottom dollar that if Slaton has another bad game or if Myles A. happens to actually shed his invisibility, asspipe will be back here bumping like a mad man. Every website needs its idiots to humor everyone else. He's like the retarded cousin at the reunion. Everyone just kinda ignores him and laughs behind his back. Except those of us who just have fun teasing him.
