Vontae Davis retires during the first half of Bills/Charges game

Recommended Posts

Vontae Davis was so sick of being on the Bills that he retired at halftime

Vontae Davis would rather quit than play one more half as a Buffalo Bill.

The Buffalo Bills are so bad that apparently Vontae Davis decided he couldnt stand playing another half for the team.

Davis, 30, was mysteriously absent for the second half of Buffalos 31-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. According to Bills linebacker Lorenzo Alexander, thats because Davis was so fed up that he retired at halftime.

So the Bills made the playoffs last year, and are rebuilding this year, and that little bltch wants to quit on the team because they aren't doing well? He can retire at any point in his career if he wants, but what a loser to abandon his team in tough times.

Incredibly classless. Not sure what he was trying to prove.

If we was trying to prove he's a doosh then well done!

"This isn't how I pictured retiring from the NFL," Davis said in a statement, explaining that after multiple surgeries and playing through injuries, "today on the field it really hit me fast and hard: I shouldn't be out there anymore.

"I meant no disrespect to my teammates and my coaches. But I hold myself to a standard. Mentally, I always expect myself to play at a high level. But physically, I know that isn't possible, and I had an honest moment with myself. While I was on the field, I just didn't feel right, and I told the coaches, 'I'm not feeling like myself.'

"I also wondered, Do I want to keep sacrificing? And truthfully, I do not because the season is long, and it's more important for me and my family to walk away healthy than to willfully embrace the warrior mentality and limp away too late."

I like how he said he held himself to a standard, not a high standard.

maybe he will try to make it a racist issue. Kneel away....

You do realize that you are a lot more sensitive about this issue than the people you complain about, right? I mean, you just had to inject that into the conversation, huh? You complain about people being touchy about an issue, and then you raise that issue every chance you get. It's like some of the atheists I know, complaining all the time about how religious people are always bringing up religion--and they bring up that complaint even when no religious person has brought up the issue of religion.

Some people complain about social injustice.

Some people complain about people complaining.

Some people err on the side of talking about social injustice and trying to stop it too often.

Some people err on the side of talking it and trying to stop it too little.

I know which side I'd rather be on.

Some on, Seafoam. You have a head on your shoulders brother, use it. You really have no ground to call other people out on being reactionary when you are just as reactionary.

Geez, he's been baiting this issue all week in multiple threads (Bell thread, etc.)

Might just have to let this one go. It's no longer responding to logic.
