MrBurns 3 Posted September 27, 2016 How long are you keeping him on your bench? I know this guy can be beastly, but this foot situation doesn't seem like it is going to get any better soon. By the time he is able to come back the Bills may be out of it and just decide to shut him down. I put him on the trade block after week one and have not recieved an offer. As of now I offered up Watkins and A.Morris for D.Henry and T.Boyd to the E.Elliot owner. If that doesn't get accepted. I may cut him next week if he doesn't play at all or looks gimpy. What are your thoughts?
IGotWorms 3,315 Posted September 27, 2016 Got somebody trying to buy low on him right now. Not a great offer but I'm still considering it. Just don't really see how it gets better for Watkins going forward, especially since he appears to be a pvssy.
weepaws 2,460 Posted September 27, 2016 What's the offer ?
IGotWorms 3,315 Posted September 27, 2016 Essentially R Jennings for Watkins
jimaveli 119 Posted September 27, 2016 Nooooooooo! Jennings cannot wait to pull a Jennings on you...play well a few weeks in a row, get you reeled in really good, then...random injury that will be treated like no big deal, practice report jokes, inaccurate playing statuses, surprise inactives and/or playing but then not making it through a game...all of that. It's a terrible way to go. Don't do it!
Law 220 Posted September 27, 2016 Not playing him. But, right now, I don't have to. We'll see how it goes as byes move forward. He was drafted as my #2 with Jeffery and J Matthews and then Diggs as my 4th. I'm now playing Diggs over Watkins this week along with Tate who was dumped already by someone else. So, I have Jeffery, Matthews, Diggs, and Tate to use until I can trust Sammy - or whenever I have to play him.

jimaveli 119 Posted September 27, 2016 I have Footloose in a big roster league with 2 IR spots. So I can treat him like he doesn't exist and still fill out my 2rb, 2wr, and 3 flex lineup with acceptable options. I plan to continue ignoring him for another 3 or so weeks before deciding what to do with him. He's basically untradeable right now so don't do it for something you could outdo on the free agent list after someone else rolls their ankle. Â If you have a smaller roster and/or some seriously solid free agent options, then maybe waiting for Sammy isn't the way to go.
jimaveli 119 Posted September 27, 2016 Â That's sounds like Watkins too. I know, but eating it at wr can happen with a reasonably healthy option. Eating it at rb is just a more terrible way to lose a week..at least to me. And a boom/bust wr like Footloose is more replaceable than a rb2.
bobby heenan 60 Posted September 27, 2016 id be concerned if i owned julio this year(i drafted him 5th overall last year and rode him to a title in a high stakes league)....kyle shannahan had come out last week and said they werent going to force him targets.....matt ryan appears to be playing pretty well right now....i think thats the tough thing with some of these good, veteran, quarterbacks....when u look at guys like palmer, ryan and brees.....they can go through progressions and reads and get the open look.....thats going to make some things inconsistent for their receivers....well maybe not brees...their defense is so bad hell be tossing that thing up so much that every guy should get some lol.....but u see my point......i drafted evans over a guy like cooks in the 2nd round twice this year....was a no brainer....jameis is locked in on evans....guys like palmer, brees and ryan can move it around and its going to make things tough weekly

jimaveli 119 Posted September 27, 2016 Hehe...no problem, brain! It was a valuable take. And I think it applies to footloose since his qb loves him when he's upright. I drafted him after Evans and Keenan Allen (sad face.jpg) as a boom/bust target machine who could blow up a few weeks and help me out. I was considering him as a super Desean Jackson. And he 'fell' to me at the back half of the 4th.
kobe808lak 7 Posted September 27, 2016 Not sure who you can get for him. If there is a player you like and you get an offer you may as well jump on it. Â However, you likely will only get trash for him so I'd probably advise holding on to him to see if he can get somewhat healthy going forward. If so he can be a difference maker down the stretch. IGotWorms 3,315 Posted September 27, 2016 Â That's sounds like Watkins too. Yeah that's the issue. Â Bottom line I'd be trading a frustrating WR for a frustrating RB. And I need RB help. Â Probably won't do it though.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted September 28, 2016 I have a feeling Watkins will pull a Watkins and have a great second half of the season or stretch of 4 games or so. Thus next year the same song and dance of hype.
polecatt 403 Posted September 28, 2016 This is exactly why I traded him early in my dynasty leagues when he still had max value. I would sale him as high as I could right now. These foot injuries never seem to just get better throughout the season. I don't see him doing much this season at all. Maybe one good game but not much else. He is probably going to need a full off season to heal and hopefully it won't bother him after that. I'm no doctor though.
Rico Suave 1 Posted September 28, 2016 Holding onto him for now but foresee exhaling a sigh as I click the drop button in a few weeks.
dcgangstas 41 Posted September 28, 2016 He's planted on my bench for now. I have ODB, Emmanuel Sanders and Travis Benjamin as my starters for the time being. Â Just hoping for him to rest the foot for a strong second half of the year.
erikthebassist 41 Posted September 28, 2016 I've been offered Ware for him. I have Diggs, Jordy, Olsen and Gordon coming back in 2 weeks with lockett, cruz and bennet as backups. I already have Cwest, so that would give me 2 3rds of the chiefs roulette backfield. If Charles goes down, which he will, that gives me the guaranteed handcuff. I'm seriously considering it. If I wait one more week and charles either plays and sharts or gets injured, that deal could be dead. Not sure what to do.
weepaws 2,460 Posted September 28, 2016 I would do it. Â I'm just not on board with Watkins . Â So take that into consideration about my thought.
TennisMenace 156 Posted September 28, 2016 Watkins really hurt me this year. I should have never KEPT him.
IGotWorms 3,315 Posted September 28, 2016 Apparently the pvssy didn't play last week because some big ol' meanie stepped on his wittle foot in pwactice
gardenstatepkwy 5 Posted September 28, 2016 I added him after someone dropped him in week 2. However I'm at the point where I need a roster spot for a DEF this week (added PHL and want to hold on to them). Watkins is probably going to get the axe. 10 team league. PPR. Who would you drop from this group? Â Watkins Cobb DeAngelo Williams Derrick Henry Crowder Pryor

TennisMenace 156 Posted September 28, 2016 Crowder or Pryor This week Pryor. No Flash, no Coleman, and he gets to play qb too.
IGotWorms 3,315 Posted September 28, 2016 This week Pryor. No Flash, no Coleman, and he gets to play qb too. The question was who should he drop
Da Judge 2 Posted September 28, 2016 Stashing him. Had to make a big trade to get a WR1 with him on the bench. His 2nd half schedule looks sweet. I'll be watching closely the next few weeks. Can't cut him yet, can't trade him for squat.
DamageIncVacc 6 Posted September 29, 2016 Traded Watkins and J Hill for Brandin Cooks (i had #1 ww pick so knew i was getting howard) then traded Cooks for Ashlon Jefferies . I like Cooks but the ball gets spread around way to much and too much boom or bust. Rather have either Cooks or Jefferies then Watkins right now. In last place so i cant wait but if i wasnt in last maybe i held Watkins on bench. I have odb and marshall and Gordon on bench so i could have held but glad i got a good WR for him . gardenstatepkwy 5 Posted September 30, 2016 Got an alert that Watkins in out this week and the Bills have serious doubts about his health the ROS. May be time to drop in 10 team leagues. Let someone else roster his foot.
Skinny_Bastard 154 Posted September 30, 2016 They claim there's no structural issue with his foot but he's experiencing enough pain where he can't play. Sounds like a structural issue to me. Â Drop him.
GornFishin' 57 Posted September 30, 2016 Out indefinitely. Â Cannot manage pain. Â Faints witnessing childbirth and cried watching Bambi.
Law 220 Posted September 30, 2016 With a short bench, I'm about ready to drop this turd! I don't want to because I remember his second half last year, but I'll need his spot to cover byes. He's fast rising up to the #1 drop option on my list.
tanatastic 2,061 Posted September 30, 2016 Guy who drafted him rnd 3 just dropped him. I get plenty wrong but I repeatedly said he was a bum this preseason and would only even begin to consider him after rnd 5 if at all. That was apparently too generous.
