Watching more interviews from various people impacted. I’m not a religious person, I typically don’t pay any attention this, and wouldn’t say I roll my eyes at the thoughts and prayers shtick I hear, but often feel It comes across as insincere or disingenuous. Not the case with this. Many of people they have been taking to are deeply religious as that main camp that was flooded was a religious camp. I have been taken aback by their candor and thoughtfulness while describing what they endured. Been impressed by many of them and their ability to process what has occurred and talk to some TV guy over an ear piece while discussing such a horrible incident. Many young people who I am used to sounding, well like a young person. Many impressive people down there who have now dealt with this utter devastation. Good luck to all those impacted.

@Meglamaniac if you are interested in my previous work, I recommend the “Coronavirus - Doomsday” thread starting about August 2020. I didn’t post in the GC prior to that but had went to the main FF board to prep for the season and it was dead so checked out the GC. I was pretty passionate about Covid and noticed that a lot of the posters here had no clue what they were talking about so I had to set them straight. I pretty much only posted in that thread for a while, and Covid shouldn’t have been political, but I guess because I thought Covid was real and the vaccine was effective, somehow the board righties thought that meant I was a lib.

I supported Israel's initial reaction to the Hamas attack - any country would retaliate like that. However, as a normal human I refuse to support starving a population to death, withholding medicine/vital supplies, and mass-bombing civilians just to kill a couple fighters. We're talking little kids and regular civilians. Don't know what the answer to removing Hamas is, but this can't be it. Israel's actions over the past year are sickening and forever altered the way I think of Israeli's. My President apparently supports this garbage - I sure as hell don't.
