Trump pulled out of the treaty deal and what did Iran do? Ramped up their nuclear program and said they will nourish Trump's corpse with worms. Iran attacked Saudi oil infrastructure in Yemen and what did trump do? Nothing. Iran attacked US soldiers in Iraq. Trump's response? Nothing. We lost our ME influence over the years. Trump did this. And you think he's strong and respected? What did trump do when Putin paid the Taliban to murder our troops? Nothing. Please read some history.

It is in our and our allies interests and a good investment in my view. As long as Ukraine wants to keep fighting I’d say keep providing them gear and support. Russia is clearly the assshole here. There’s no other side to this. I do wish behind doors it would be made clear to Ukraine that there is a need for some type of off ramp here at some point and sadly that may include losing some territory.

So just to restate- the title of this thread is wrong. Ukraine COULD fall without our support, but with our support they won’t. And we’re going to support them. There will be a bill passed this weekend sending Ukraine 61 billion in aid (mostly a boon to our defense industry.) This debate is over; those of us who wanted this to happen have won.
