Trump's health agency urges therapy for transgender youth, not broader gender-affirming health care 20 years from now we will look back at this phase and wonder why it took so long for people to step up and question what was going on. I have said it for years that it is an emperor has no clothing situation. It just took people to finally speak up and say this is bullshittt for everyone else to wake up to it also. This has been an epidemic of kids being misdiagnosed as trans when it should be acknowledge that it is a mental illness and that treatment like therapy is going to help them more than cutting off their junk and calling themselves sarah. -

I suspect Donald will lean hard into this, trans in sports, and the border. He can’t talk about the number one issue for people, the economy, because he’s focked it all up. If things don’t turn around by midterms (I hope they do) these are all we will hear about 24/7. -

You continually prove you’re a weak man with waaay too much trust in our institutions. Trans ideology is born out of WPATH nonsense. All the “medical experts” are actually a bunch of WPATH disciples or a bunch of political lobbying groups. AMA? APA? Do you even know why gender dysphoria removed from being considered a mental illness in clinical texts? Hint…it’s rooted in no science at all. -
The short answer is that it’s not collected and no one is stupid enough to do it openly. When crime data is collected, it’s done via database obviously. Each crime that you claim has easily obtainable statistics, is derived from a specific statute at the state level, and collectively as “Homicide, “Larceny”, etc at the federal level. That’s why they are easily found. There is no “xxx crime by trans” statute that I’m aware of and there’s no “trans” checkbox. As far as perps go, unlike race and age, gender ID is not collected by UCR. Gender is, but it will be concluded by what’s on your ID. Even, if a female is recorded as a male, there’s no further differentiation that it’s a trans person. A police department would have to decide to track it on their own, and obviously that’s a political nightmare. Whether done secretly or openly, tracking gender ID would be met with significant outcry.

One doesn't have to dig to know that the percentage of trans who commit acts of violence is a really small percentage of the trans population (or someone would be posting those numbers and posting them regularly in the trans bashing treads in this forum).

I don't understand how you can differentiate "my" conclusion from that of the report, since I merely posted that of the report. Here, I'll post the end of the results again for you: That being said, it's clear that you don't understand my position, or choose not to. My position is: until recently, when we started celebrating being trans, the only people who were trans were... actual trans people, with gender dysphoria, who were willing to go through the long, arduous process of confirming their diagnosis, and the life-changing medical acts to change their bodies. If studies exist which show almost universal happiness with transition (you seem allergic to links on this topic BTW), I'm confident they come from this older cohort, and were likely past puberty and into adulthood before medical interventions. Since then, we've begun celebrating being trans, have had hundreds of gender clinics pop up, have had reports of less than arduous evaluation of people including young people, and lo and behold, we've had an astronomical increase in "trans" people. Particularly girls going through puberty, with the often uncomfortable growth of breasts, unwanted attention from boys, weird feelings from estrogen (side note: it's not surprising that, when such girls go on testosterone, they feel more confident). As such, it is not surprising that people from this latter, younger cohort show no statistically significant reduction in mental issues. This is completely consistent with "my" conclusion (i.e., that of the report), which is that the vast majority of people identifying as trans these days are NOT truly gender dysphoric. I would like to see us go back to how it was (I know, I know, old conservative guy), as I described above. I understand that it is hard on true trans people because they wouldn't be celebrated like they are now, but here's the unfortunate thing: life isn't always fair. They've been dealt a hand where their brain thinks they are in the wrong sex body. You can not like describing it as a mental issue, but that's what it is. That is why some people object to ANY medical intervention. Personally, I don't fall into that camp, for true trans adults -- I don't begrudge them seeking peace, unless we find some cure, which some gender dysphoric people might prefer. What doesn't make sense is changing society to conform to a mental illness: men in women's sports, men in women's spaces like prisons, spas, etc., transitioning kids just because they feel that way this month, etc. I'm confident I've wasted my time, because you are convinced that this astronomical (and growing) association with trans is all legit. I've explained above how this defies reason, and the data in the link bears that out, but you will refer to your alleged vast majority of experts, and we'll get nowhere.

So I did a little more research on the subject this morning. This kid winning was the first time a trans athlete has won any HS state championship. Also, because of privacy laws the exact numbers aren't known but estimates put the number of trans athletes competing at less than 100 nationwide in H.S. (I don't know if that includes former girls in boys sports). Leads me to a few conclusions. The first being this is being completely overblown as an issue. There are probably more trans threads on the board just this year than there are trans athletes. My 2nd conclusion is that being that number is so few, I wouldn't be opposed stopping the participation of trans-athletes until a workable equitable solution can be found. I'm not in favor of any discrimination, but I'm also not so strident that I think we need to change the rules to accommodate such a small group of people. IMO, this is really a non-issue being used to inflame conservatives. -
