squistion Footballguy Jun 9, 2021 Add bookmark #1,012 There is no protection for LGBT+ folks, so even if they actually say "I am firing you for being queer after seeing you got married" there is no recourse as there is zero employment discrimination protection for LGBT+ people. squistion Footballguy Jun 9, 2021 Add bookmark #1,018 https://www.upworthy.com/29-states-can-fire-you-for-being-gay-is-your-state-one-of-them 29 States Can Fire You For Being Gay. Is Your State One Of Them? And in 34 states it is legal to fire someone solely for being transgender. If you think this is as ridiculous as I do, you're going to want to see what Michigan's hilarious "Don't Change Yourself: Change the Law" campaign is doing about it. Depending on where you work, you can still get fired for being gay or transgender. Under U.S. law, religious organizations are basically exempt from protections baked into the Civil Rights Act. Sometimes called the “ministerial exception,” it bars ministers from suing for discrimination. According to Evansville attorney Erin Borcherding Bauer, with Barber & Bauer LLP, Monday’s decision won’t do anything to overturn that. Gorsuch’s opinion made that clear, she said. Nailed it! Libs are calling it Transphobia so that they can make it a "Republican's are evil" agenda when it's purely a women's rights / child welfare issue. They can't allow that to be the issue because then they can't make the trans community a victimhood and capitalize on it. -
Judge's ruling to allow SJSU trans women's volleyball player to compete in tournament receives backlash
jerryskids replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
The bolded is faulty logic, particularly in a team sport. Heck, Aaron Judge could play on a bad HS baseball team and they would still lose most of the time (in this case, they would intentionally walk him). More bad logic. This is like saying if an NFL safety launches his helmet into a defenseless receiver's head, but the receiver stays in the game, he shouldn't be penalized. "No harm, no foul" is a bad way to judge, which is why it isn't done. There is also a slippery slope here. If it's OK for this guy to play, when Karch Kiraly Jr. comes along, identifies as a girl, and starts caving in opponents' faces, the trans sports supporters will argue it's no different, she's just a little better is all. This leaves us to legislate on a case by case basis based on some subjective, undefinable definition of when it becomes dangerous or non-competitive, which is unmanageable. And, if somehow we were to try that, we would be saying to the male athlete that they suck so bad that they can play. Not exactly a confidence builder, as I hear is a reason to let trans women compete. -
Judge's ruling to allow SJSU trans women's volleyball player to compete in tournament receives backlash
TimHauck replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
@Strike, stupid comments like this are why I push back on certain aspects of these discussions while agreeing with the overall point that trans women shouldn’t play women’s sports. A few trannies don’t mean the end of women’s sports. The fact that the athlete in this story couldn’t even qualify her team for the NCAA tournament shows that’s not going to happen. Lia Thomas is pretty much the only significantly accomplished trans woman in the history of NCAA D1, that was two years ago and pretty sure she wouldn’t be eligible under the current rules. -
Bill Maher on Hollywood pedos and Drag Queen story hour
The Real timschochet replied to Fireballer's topic in The Geek Club
Yes. Because unfortunately we still live in a society where young people who discover they are gay or trans can be shunned by peers, family, friends, told they are sick and abnormal. We still live in a society where young people who discover they are gay or trans commit suicide at high levels, because they cannot live with themselves. Drag queens are the most flamboyant homosexuals there are, the ones who are the most “out”. They are reading to children to send a message: “we are good people, we are normal people, just like everyone else, even though we dress differently and choose to be this way. We want you as children to grow up thinking- it’s OK for some people to be gay or trans. It’s OK for YOU to be gay or trans if that’s who you are.” That’s an important message for the children of our society. It’s a good thing. No grooming involved. -

Not sure why you would choose to bring me up regarding this topic. I’ve been very clear: transgender women should not be allowed to compete in girls sports. Period. On other issues regarding trans I tend to be woke and accepting- I don’t think it’s a mental disease, I’m for allowing them to use the bathrooms of their choice, I don’t think the state should be involved in gender affirming treatment etc. etc. and I reject totally the conservative anti-trans hysteria. But on this one issue I find myself on the conservative side. -

It's a really simple answer. The trans thing was pushing us more toward men being in the locker room with girls. Anyone with a daughter and common sense would know that's a massive issue. -

Only a day ago you accused the Florida shooter of being trans and a liberal (it turns out he was MAGA and white supremacist- go figure!) Perhaps as an alternative to your plan, we should deport deliberate spreaders of false information? -
I don't think it's that hard, or needs a separate locker room facility. I've said here many times: my youngest daughter has Type 1 diabetes. She is free to pursue happiness... except where she isn't, in the interest of societal good. She can't join the military for instance. Trans adults should be free to lead their lives as trans, but not to enter women's safe spaces. I'll again exclude bathrooms, because I do agree that that is a complex issue. Agreed?

Boyosexual: What It Means & How To Tell If It Describes You
EternalShinyAndChrome posted a topic in The Geek Club
If you frequently use the term "Boyo" in your posts as your signature, then that means you love cruising ghey bodybuilder forums looking for juiced-up steroid boys, or "power twinks", to hook up with. Hence the word "boy" in "boyo". Often synonymous with "bisexual", that is a misnomer. A "boyosexual" is exclusively a biological male and only interested in other biological males (the aforementioned power twinks). They also tend to hook up with trannies, but only if that tranny was born a biological male (trans woman). They also have a peculiar predilection for truck stop glory holes where they tend to meet as a group. Also, Boyosexuals exclusively identify as liberals and Democrats. -

I ain’t reading 100 pages or whatever, sounds like it was all over the place and did include anti-white sentiment which was my understanding of a primary original motive. Interestingly in regards to the violent Tranny motive, Hale says they did not know trans was a thing until age 22. Perhaps if Hale had transitioned sooner they may have been happier? -

California is 1st state to ban school rules requiring parents get notified of child’s pronoun change
The Real timschochet replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
No it doesn’t. They are reversing the correlation. It is the gay and trans that creates the abuse. The abuse comes less from inside factors such as the specific personality of the parents, and much more from outside factors like the conservative antagonism towards gay and trans, the belief in the face of all evidence that trans is a mental disorder, etc. -

This isn't about me or my politics. It's about a baby that disagreed with a new law, and decided to move 2 companies and all of his employees 1600 miles across the country because of it. That is childish and dumb, and yes he's a baby. With complete disregard to all of his employees, he doesn't like the law, so they all have to suffer. They have to move to a state where abortion is illegal because he doesn't like a law that protects trans kids. How petty can you get? And it's personal for him. He doesn't like trans people. He disowned his own daughter for being trans. That's being a baby. My outlook on things is that people shouldn't let their hurt feelings or hatred of others get in the way of doing what's right. You think that's wrong with America? You're clueless. A real leader, a father, does what's right for the good of others. They don't change the course of thousands of lives for the worse over petty disagreements and personal hurt feelings.
