The trans people are absolutely the oppressed. They are the very definition of oppressed. The oppressors is a little more nuanced -- it is those who oppose anything but 100% treatment of biological men as women. And it is absolutely moral relativism to say that the rest of us should adopt to their desires; specifically in my example, their desire to be in girls' sports and safe spaces. If you look up moral relativism in the dictionary, you very well may find the Palestinian situation. I don't know if there ever has been a more clear moral absolute. And it is clearly an oppressed/oppressor situation. In fact, support from the Left of the cultures in many Islamic-ruled countries requires a heaping dose of moral relativism. Women in these cultures are property. They don't walk outside alone for fear of being raped. If they are raped, it is the woman's fault and her family will shun her. They aren't allowed to get educated. And of course we know how LGBTQ folks are treated there. And the Left is like, oh well, that's just how they roll. It's disgusting and makes no sense other than moral relativism. -

Your two examples of moral relativism don’t really hold up IMO: Regarding your first example, all we’re doing is giving trans women recognition as women. There is no oppressed, and no oppressing force, there is no Marxism involved, sexual or otherwise. I regard this as a matter of individual liberty. But even if you take the opposing view, this isn’t large enough an issue to reflect on society as a whole, IMO. Regarding your second example: that is not an either or situation. One can support Palestinian rights and at the same time support the State of Israel. This is in fact my position. I don’t see any contradiction at all; in fact, I think that securing Palestinian rights (and an eventual state) is vital to Israel’s security and long term interests. Once again I don’t think moral relativism, or Marxism, are involved. -
When I saw people were offended I figured there were biracial trans men focking or something. (Maybe the absence of that is why they do not like it.) Either way if that ad bothers you then you are in trouble.

If a person feels happy/normal/whole as a trans person I see no reason why they shouldn’t. There is definitely a mental health component to trans but there is to many straight/gay people. Just leave kids out of it , it’s simple -

This is crap. First off it’s not a mental illness according to any doctor of repute. Second, all of the bigotry and hatred now displayed against trans was previously displayed against all homosexuals. Gay people recognize the exact same rhetoric, which is why they’re so welcoming of trans people as among their number. -

I can’t believe that with a significantly more amount of people coming out as gay/trans that there are more crimes involving this group. It’s almost like statistics are in play. Gay and Trans have never had it better. This thread is dumb. -
If they just admitted that this is a mental illness the trans community would be more readily accepted. To push this as "normal" and to start calling normal people cisgender is too much. To insist that the male body is the same as the female body for athletic competition just because Sal feels like he is Sally is absurd and asks people to ignore common sense. It is like the emperor wears not clothes. I 100 percent acknowledge that trans people exist. I do not believe it is normal and they should not get special rules for their mental illness.

I think you expect far to much from a board that very rarely takes anything seriously and has a juvenile sense of humor for pretty much everything. We have a dead pool for christ sake. If someone posts something they should just assume that the replies will contain some off color jokes. This place is like an 8th grade locker room and men typically have a different sense of humor based on our lived experience. Also, the idea that a woman would choose a bear is absurd and more of a thought experiment created to make men feel bad. Given the choice in REAL LIFE there is a near ZERO percent chance that if a woman had to choose between walking in the direction of a bear or a random man they choose the bear. ZERO. It is a thought experiment that leads to delusional women believing a bear is going to be safer. And, the same women who say they would rather be in the woods with a bear are also perfectly fine with a strange man in the women's bathroom. As long as that man FEELS like he is a woman. Just keep that in mind as more women support trans rights than men. Finally, the joke. It would make sense for women to pick a bear over a random man. Bear is over 6ft tall, Violent, has multiple babies, is extremely violent. Right in the wheelhouse of what far too many women look for.

Lol....Tim finally finds a line. It is OK to censor speech on the COVID vaccine. It is OK to censor those who wish to protest the election. It is OK to censor those critical of global warming science. It is OK for compelled speech to require preferred pronouns or be critical of the radical trans agenda. But finally when speech is censored on a pet issue he is critical of the establishment position, Tim finds the free speech religion. -

The problem is that HR and Colleges have been co-opted to mean just that. Anti-White and Pro Trans. So you have the systems that employ us and the systems that teach our kids both pushing their agenda all the time. They need to understand that "equality" means "equal", it doesn't mean that we go on the warpath of revenge against whites with a "it's our turn to be racist" attitude. I don’t have time right now to put down all my thoughts, but society has generally accepted the fact that courts make decisions if someone isn’t old enough to consent or make an informed decision. And as far as “medical experts” are concerned, trans people aside, all you have to do is look at our USDA food guide to see that the health care industry doesn’t always have the end users well being as the priority. -

Sorry, I can't do that until the American trans health community learns from Europe that they went too far, that medical interventions for children should be extremely rare and only in the most severe and thoroughly analyzed cases.
