  1. It's not happening. The Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) girls’ softball state tournament is officially under way — and so is the controversy surrounding Champlin Park’s starting pitcher. Marissa Rothenberger, a trans-identifying male athlete, threw a complete-game shutout Wednesday morning as No. 2-seeded Champlin Park defeated No. 7 Eagan, 5-0, in the Class AAAA quarterfinals. Rothenberger allowed seven hits and struck out four in the win. Rothenberger, whose participation in girls’ sports highlights a growing trend across the state and country, threw 14 shutout innings in back-to-back games in the sectional finals to help Champlin Park reach the state tournament. On Wednesday, not everyone in the stands was clapping. Two Eagan parents, both of whom requested anonymity for the sake of their daughters, expressed frustration and disappointment after the game. One mother, wearing a "Save Girls’ Sports" T-shirt, said the outcome felt inevitable. "I was pretty disappointed and frustrated," she told OutKick. "I think we've seen this happen over and over again to our girls. You look online, and you see women transitioning to men, and they're not dominating any of the men's sports. You don’t see that. But on the women's side, you see it over and over again across the country. It's super frustrating. I knew it was eventually going to happen to my daughter. I was sad to see it happen to her." https://www.foxnews.com/sports/parents-call-out-unfairness-trans-pitcher-throws-shutout-minnesota-softball-state-quarterfinals

    Hey Weepaws!

Salt Lake City adobos trans, progress pride as official city flags despite state ban. Shame. But the government supports this, and with your votes you do. Shame.
  3. TB’s original claim was that trans stuff should be more important to women than abortion, since trans stuff affects “every” woman. We can argue about the #s, but wayyyy more women are going to have an abortion or unwanted pregnancy vs. be assaulted by a tranny in a public bathroom or lose a sports opportunity to one. And unless we’re talking about being raped by a tranny, the result of abortion laws is way more impactful than sports stuff. I’d bet most women would rather lose a sports competition than have to carry an unwanted pregnancy to term. Any way you slice it, TB’s argument is just dumb. Unfortunately you missed most of it and decided to pester me instead. That’s okay though I like you Jerry.
  4. It seems odd to me that a person like yourself, from the party of protecting the minority and oppressed, would use the "but it's rare" argument. As I said earlier though, regarding sports, by definition more straight/regular girls are affected by sports competition than the trans person themself, since that trans person affects the multiple people in their event, over various scopes already discussed here. So I'm glad we can agree that trans women shouldn't be in women's sports. I don't actually feel strongly about the bathroom debate, and I'm not sure what the right answer is. I was merely pointing out that taking a dump in a stall is not the concern of the opponents. I'll also add that IMO the concern isn't as much from true gender dysphoria trans people, but rather from bad men who might take advantage of such policy.
  5. I’d asked him what % of women he thinks have either been assaulted by trans in the john or lost a competition of athletic spot to one. TB ducked that question and several others and by that time I just gave up on getting a straight answer.
  6. TB said trans stuff is a more impactful issue to women than abortion. How many women are directly impacted by trannies vs. abortion seemed like a logical question.
  7. The trans movement, not just in sports, affects 100% of society. It directly impacts 100% of all women, disproportionately, on a daily basis. Abortion affects all women, though only during 15% of their lifetime... but that's potential, as the overwhelmingly vast majority of women in that age group aren't in the situation where it matters.
  8. With abortion, I'm actually fine with making it legal... I just think that the woman killing her kid should have to pay for it. It's shouldn't be on the taxpayers dime. Her body, her choice right? Well, her choice, her money. Another big talking point by the left is that women struggle making this decision? Fine, let's either call their bluff or help. In order to get an abortion, a woman must be required to seek outpatient psychiatric care. AGAIN, another leftist talking point is how the financial burden on society if the woman is required to keep the child is far more than paying for the abortion. My argument is that if she's going through mental gymnastics over the decision and then dealing with it... it's far more beneficial for her to pay the couple thousands of dollars to take care of her mental health and abortion then the hundreds of thousands to raise the child. Personally, I'm against abortion. I don't think it should be legal. There are plenty of people out there who want to adopt an infant. There's people who will pay the mother for the expenses. Some insurance companies will cover some of those expenses on behalf of the adopting parents. There are other ways out than abortion. But, if we're making it legal, fine... you pay for it. You pay for the mental health help as the result. It's WAY cheaper than paying for the kid. Maybe... just maybe, more women will be more responsible in their decision making. As for the trans issue, let them play dress up all they want (if they're an adult), as long as they don't force society to play along. That's mainly what I mean when I say that the left should abandon their trans movement. Stop forcing and proposing legislation that requires society to play along in their delusion. If they TRUELY have a mental health issue, then that's fine, it can be dealt with... the thing is, those people aren't the problem. The social contagion is the problem. I'm willing to bet that 99% all trans people in this country are just going through a phase or are professional victims, have far leftist activist parents, or are just fock'ed in the head. Those with true gender dysphoria probably make up about 1% of this group. When laws, policy, and rules are made to cater to these people, it affects all of society, but 100% of all women and all times. Unlike abortion where it pretty much affect only certain age groups. Yes, all women go through that age group, but it's only 15% of their life.
  9. As a black male do you keep your trans obsession on the “down low”?
  10. It does affect every woman. Any time a trans person is walking on the street, they can go into any bathroom, changing room, etc, that is afforded as a safe place for women. Schools and places of employment treat men as women, who claim they are, and that affects all women as well. It actually affects everyone, but predominantly women. Abortion only affects women in a certain age group.
  11. Long ago, on a discussion of abortion, I introduced the concepts of "infinity-minus" and "zero-plus," which actually came from my engineering world. Abortion advocates are infinity-minus -- their default is that abortion is legal, but we can carve out situations where it is illegal. I fall into the zero-plus camp, which is the opposite, because I oppose abortion for convenience. Theoretically you could arrive at the same point with each approach, but it is unlikely, and each is a different mindset. The point being that while I oppose abortion, I recognize that there are cases worth discussing its legality. This approach shows empathy and a willingness to negotiate solutions in good faith. I've had a lot of successful business negotiations with this approach. Back to trans, I tend to fall into the zero-plus camp as well regarding the privileges of their chosen gender, to use your phrase (which I like). Obviously, trans advocates like Squissy here are infinity-minus. But I do it from a backdrop of recognizing the reality that some small number of people truly have gender dysphoria. From this backdrop, we can have productive discussions with the infinity-minus folks regarding questions like: what do we do with such people? What is truly in their best interest? How do we merge that into a functioning and safe society? What about children? I find this approach much more productive and easier to defend than a staunch "zero" stance.
  12. You said trans issues affect “every” women and it’s a bigger issue than abortion. It only affects women who live in a state that allows trans in women’s sports and play the same sports as a tranny. And it only impacts all of them to the degree that they’re all one rank lower. How is that a bigger issue than abortion, something that potentially affects any sexually active woman and has a much greater consequence?
  13. Voltaire

Pride is a 'celebration of perversion'.

New threads arrive all the time. In order to make space for them, we have to remain ever-vigilant if we want to prevent any exiting threads from slipping off of page one without any trans-content.
  14. When you say "abandon the trans movement," do you mean men in women's sports, or trans folks altogether? I ask because progressives often push the false dichotomy of all or nothing. Sometimes successfully: you may recall the debate about gay marriage. Many conservatives were fine with it, but preferred to call it "civil union." Progressives insisted on calling it "marriage", and they ultimately won. To them, it isn't a victory unless it is 100%. Problem is, I don't see how they will ever get public mindshare of a lot of these trans topics: medically transing confused kids, men in women's sports, convicted male rapists in female prisons (yes, this is a real thing)... I mean sure, we may get a progressive SCOTUS majority some day which prioritizes woke ideology over biological reality and people's safety, but I can't see how the public at large will ever buy into it. Basically, I propose that we break the false dichotomy. I believe that we can support adults who want to present as the other sex in general, without allowing them into women's spaces. There are plenty of devils in the details, but I don't want to sidetrack this thread too much.
  15. Thanks for clarifying. Wouldn’t that only impact whoever lost a slot and anyone who competes with or against the trans athlete? Either way, I don’t see any way that affects “every” woman, TB’s claim. It doesn’t even affect every athlete in a given state. It definitely isn’t more impactful to women than abortion.
  16. I could be mistaken, but i believe his assertion is that statewide rankings are impacted even if only 1 trans is competing.
  17. Unless a woman athlete is on the same team as a tranny or competes against one, how are they affected by a trans athlete? Seems like you assume every female in the state is affected by trans athletes but dismiss projections based on actual abortion data. Isn’t every sexually active woman potentially impacted by abortion law?
  18. In the state of Oregon, 100% of all female track athletes in high school, we're affected by a trans athlete. That’s just this particular case. It happened in Connecticut as well... and Maine (in fencing). Probably more leftist states as well. That's just 3 instances this year. LOL, and you're an idiot. They didn't say that 25% of women have had an abortion. They said that 13.7% have had an abortion by age 25... they "project", that by the age of 45, 25% could have one. Projections aren't facts, they're opinions.
  19. I just find this topic entertaining. Instead of Democrats saying they were wrong on this topic (which would be a net win for them), they keep minimizing it and laughing when it's brought up. The fact is, this is a bigger women's rights issue than abortion is. This affects EVERY woman, everywhere. Its not only about athletes, but in everyday life. Abortion only affects a very small portion of women. If they abandon the trans movement, they lose no one. There's no one on the right who's picking up that banner, so the trans community's only recourse is to stay in the LGBT conglomerate and pretend to be marginalized just like the L's, G's, and B's. The Democrats win because they can still pretend to care about all women's rights.

Pride is a 'celebration of perversion'.

Actually, I agree that this would have fit nicely into the Pride Month thread. Hey @Maximum Overkill, you really don't have to start a new thread for every trans video you come across. Especially with a Pride Month thread sitting right there at the top of the first page.
  21. avoiding injuries

If they denounce the trans, they’re still good in my book.

    PRIDE MONTH

    WTF IS A TRANS WOMAN???
  23. Any Democrat is well advised to endorse passing legislation restoring sanity with regards to trans issues, then voting to make that happen, so as to take that issue off the table. If they fail to do so, any Republican is well advised to chime from the rooftops that a vote for Democrats is a vote for trannies in the girls room and in their sports leagues. Take that message and run with it, it's a winner. Anyone running against a Democrat is well advised to handcuff their opponent to the trannies. And that's why we have so many tranny threads. People want this issue resolved and since Democrats are the ones who won't allow it to be resolved, it behooves Republicans to turn it up to eleven to make clear where each side stands.
  24. I was reinforcing the GC’s throbbing trans obsession.
  25. I'm amazed at how you Lefties are unable to differentiate between insults and dehumanizing labels. Calling someone a tard or an idiot is an insult, generally (as in this case) based on a specific action and situation. Labeling Trump Clownzo or now Taco, or labeling all Trump supporters MAGAtards, is an attempt to dehumanize. It's a subtle difference in language which I wouldn't expect you to understand. HTH. Also as I look, there is one other "trans" thread on the first page, and that is talking about Pride Month. That's a little different topic than this one, and hardly an example of "trans threads daily."
