I do think ultimately this is at the bottom of everything maga. There are no common American values, the two parties are incompatible. And if the libs are allowed to win it will result in communism, compulsive trans surgeries, rule by minorities, & anything and everything is defensible in the battle against that. -

Interested to know how often that’s actually a thing? What I mean is most of these kids that are trans overwhelmingly come from liberal families and their ideologies that end up getting pushed on their kids. But how often is it occurring where they don’t have to tell the parents or that it’s a complete shock to the parents That their kids want to be trans? -
Its hard to read, but I guess its a screenshot of a tranny group talking about simulating the symptoms of menstruation. They include...Shoving tampons up your a$$ to prevent flatulence to make you bloated, wearing sanpaper in your bra to make breasts tender, self mutilation to genitals to make you bleed, laxative for cramps, and sleep reduction for irritability. Wtf? How are we normalizing this? Its scary and sad. These are just the people I wanna have my kids share bathrooms with.

I very much prefer parents make such decisions vs. lawmakers, but there needs to be a guardrail. We wouldn't let a parent starve a child to death in belief that it would cure an illness, for instance. But wait, you say, transing the kids is supported by the medical community! This is where I explain my model of the medical community. One, doctors are neither omniscient nor infallible. I learned this as a young adult, and have debated with doctors throughout my life, including my cancer journey, on care decisions. Two, I've worked with many people with advanced degrees, and regardless of the field, the following is true: the higher the degree, the more they will defer to their peers in adjacent fields. An orthopedic surgeon will absolutely defer to a urologist on urology issues -- after all, he wouldn't want a urologist telling him how to handle a knee surgery. This is how we get statements like "the medical community" supports it -- most doctors are just defering to... ... transgender care doctors. The problem with this is that everyone who enters the field is biased towards believing children and helping them on their trans journey. After all, that's why they entered the field and work with such kids, right? So there is an inherent systemic bias. Then there is the whole discussion of social contagion (which absolutely has happened) and woke pressure (which influences lobbying groups like the AMA and APA). By the way, when I hear the phrase "gender affirming care" to describe mutilating children, I want to club a baby seal with a puppy. It disgusts me that the left conflates therapy with mutilation. What you are describing is, at its kindest, gender changing care, and more accurately, gender destroying care. Europe led the way in transing the kids, and we followed like good little Leftie lemmings. Europe has now seen the error of its ways, but we're not quite ready to give up our woke position on this. Some day we will look back on this time in horror at the way we abused our young people in the name of social justice points. As I told Real Tim when we had this discussion, when that day occurs, Lefties will just say "oh well, we meant well!" That is the nice thing about Leftism -- you can pave a lot of roads to hell with your good intentions. I'll skip your abortion strawman for now, to not dilute the discussion even more. -
Part of Newsome's platform will be to claim he has done the most for trans kids rights. The fact that this is such a large deal should raise red flags to potential Newsome voters. Logically, one would think the normal % of kids born to the wrong gender would be a very small %. Yet the number spiked when it became such a hot button issue. It's not normal to believe you are the wrong gender. Because the left lied and said trans kids were missing rights even though they have the same rights as any kid, the issue got bigger. Kids who would have never questioned their gender all of a sudden were confused or seeking attention. To run a huge part of a political campaign on an issue that affects .001% of the population should disqualify him. It would be like Vance running a large part of his campaign on kids who eat vanilla ice cream left handed but eat chocolate ice cream right handed needing equal rights.

Got tickets for the wife and I to see Trans Siberian Orchestra in November. Never heard anything from them aside from the following song: I've heard that it's a good show. Has anyone here seen them? I understand that the show has a ton of rotating musicians. Singer-wise it's cool that Russell Allen from Symphony X is apparently still in the rotation. He's a damn good singer, and I saw him in concert a few years ago, so hopefully he'll be part of the show we see.

While you have proven yourself to be quite the nut job over the last several years, I do agree with you on this. However, I am not sure how pig a part of Newsome's platform this would be... and I am 100% sure that liberals will claim it to be "a very small, not worth worrying about" part of his platform. But yes, trans, non binary, they them, etc are all things that became trendy for teens and preteens. And, as we all know, the left has become the party of obscure, marginalized groups. If they don't have enough to shout about, they will create them.

No, he won't campaign on trans kids, because that's a loser nationally. What he'll do is talk about the LGBTQ community as a whole and gaslight about the Republican stance. That'll be enough to keep the suckers on board and keep independent's minds open. If Vance is smart, he simply says, "What [insert communist candidate here], says about how we plan to address the LGBTQ community is pure lies and propaganda. Our only stance there is that we feel children should not receive life altering and permanent change to their bodies. Anything they want to do after that, is on them as adults." That way, he forces the [insert communist candidate here], to only address transgender children. That's the right play. It keeps independents leaning right.

It will be nice to (hopefully) have actual primaries where voters can decide the candidates. Things have been broken since 2016 when Dems stole the nomination from Bernie using "superdelegates". That said, it's not certain those will be the two candidates by any stretch. Most of the assertions being made in here so far are one person's opinion being cast as "this is the way that it is!". No, it's not. My early favorite one is that it will be Newsom running on a trans platform

I have no issue with this. In fact, I would support it being 21 instead of 18. Children have no business undergoing gender-altering procedures, although MAGAs have hypercatastrophized what amounts to 0.1 percent of adolescents undergoing gender-affirming care. Seems like Congress has bigger legislative fish to fry, but perhaps this will dull the MAGA obsession over trans people. -
