MicktheGreat 1 Posted March 12, 2007 How about next Monday? Starting it going into the weekend may not get off to a very quick start and that is still one week earlier than I originally proposed.... I agree with this. Monday would be a better starting date. I think we'd lose people over the weekend if we started on Friday...
Big Blue 06 196 Posted March 12, 2007 I already talked with Kutulu and we set it up for me to take the Giants. (At least I think it was this mock.)

JScott 20 Posted March 12, 2007 I agree with: 1.) no trades 2.) 3 rounds 3.) 5 hour time limit during a designated 10 hour "work day", say 10AM EST (7AM PST) until 8PM EST (5PM PST) M-F
phillybear 366 Posted March 12, 2007 I'll pick for the Hawks..oh wait, they don't have a pick Good luck. I've been doing the Seattle picks the last couple of years in these mocks. It's healthy to give others a chance. I get too involved in these mocks and the days leading up to the real draft, then blow a gasket on draft day second guessing the Seahawk front office. Because I tend to draft better players. There I go again. Second guessing.... Good luck.

cmh6476 1,180 Posted March 12, 2007 so can i go ahead and get something for lj before we ban trades?
edjr 7,097 Posted March 13, 2007 I agree with no trades, but I'd go for only 2 rounds. And I think a 3 hour limit is not enough. Some of us have more freedom and flexibility to troll this site at work than others; I think we could get away with a 6 or 8 hour limit. There will be spots in the draft where it zips by and others where it lulls; everything will even out. As of right now, though, without getting too formal, I'd say: - no trades - 2 rounds - "reasonable" time limit between picks My 0.02 you're on my list now
yostevo 0 Posted March 13, 2007 Give me Jacksonville. I'm a pseudo fan who is familiar with their needs. I agree with a 4-5 hour time limit during normal business hours.

hellothere 1 Posted March 13, 2007 if this indeed starts next Monday as i have read i will take San Diego im not a homer for that team, but i am a HUGE draft fanatic, and have already scouted deep into this years crop. i am a fan of the no trading rule, as it gets ridiculous very quickly. the clock is fine for round one, maybe round 2, then i would think it needs to be move up a bit as people will fall out anyway. shame i missed the early sign ups, there are a few teams i am more familiar with, but i am ready to go and starting specific Chargers research now. I love the draft
Mack 1 6 Posted March 13, 2007 We have one spot remaining: the Colts. Who around here is an Indy fan? Let's get this sh!t finalized so we can confirm all the specs of this bee-atch.

Mack 1 6 Posted March 13, 2007 Sweet, we're all set!!! Here's what I proposed: - no trades - 2 rounds - 6 hour limit for picks (during normal business hours) - draft begins Monday morning, March 19 If anyone wants to add anything else, feel free to do so. And as in years past, we'll have a thread exclusively for the picks and a separate thread for discussions.

jocstrap 8 Posted March 13, 2007 The Titans should get a couple of Extra picks since they lost their #1 wr, #1 rb, #1cb (at least I think he will be gone) and didn't do shiet to help the cause this offseason (so far). WHAT IS GOING ON????
MicktheGreat 1 Posted March 13, 2007 The Titans should get a couple of Extra picks since they lost their #1 wr, #1 rb, #1cb (at least I think he will be gone) and didn't do shiet to help the cause this offseason (so far). WHAT IS GOING ON???? Just to clarify...we lost our top TWO WRs. And our lone backup RB (Chris Brown) is still talking to other teams. So...that means the Titans probably need to sign/draft 2 WRs, 2 RBs, a DT, a DE, 2 CBs, a S, & a MLB (although we did sign a RFA MLB to an offer sheet, which may take care of one of our problems). Worst of all, SI's Peter King recently wrote an article about how we're doing a good job this offseason--which probably means that the exact opposite is inherently true. I mean, seriously...has Peter King EVER been right about ANYTHING football-related??? Personally, I think the Titans top draft-needs are: 1a. DE 1b. WR 2. CB (dependent upon what happens with Pacman AND if we bring in Harper) 3. DT (a run-stuffing, 1st-&-2nd-down DT)

MicktheGreat 1 Posted March 14, 2007 Why only 2 rounds? I suggest that if these 2 rounds go well we can keep going........does that sound ok?? I agree. Personally, I'd like to do 3 rounds. Hopefully, we can do the 2 rounds with an optional 3rd round (assuming everyone sticks around)...

I've never been part of a 3 round mock on this site; that's too much as far as I'm concerned, but that's one man's opinion.

jocstrap 8 Posted March 16, 2007 The Titans will pick....All defensive players remaining on the board...and a solid wr...and a 2nd running back in case White gets hurt. yep that should cover our needs. Cant I just pick now and get this mofo started? Yes just do it! Take your pick and lets get it going, Mack can say no, but then you pick the same guy a few days later. Do It. Take Russell and be done!
MTSkiBum 1,629 Posted March 16, 2007 Considering the team with #1 pick can sign their pick before draft day, i feel its fair that ricemanx makes his pick whenever he wants.

You mofos are killing me. If this things starts now, there may be some long pauses between picks since: 1 - most posters don't post during the weekend 2 - most posters will be watching the NCAA tournament 3 - we've said all along it'd start on Monday But whatever the consensus is, we can roll with it. MicktheGreat 1 Posted March 16, 2007 I vote for waiting until after the weekend. My availability prior to that is going to be sketchy at best. Well, that's exactly why we were SUPPOSED to wait until Monday, but Riceman had to fock everything up... I can tell you right now...I don't care how many picks get done today. The Titans will NOT select their player at #19 until Monday morning (at the earliest). Anybody got a problem with that...they can answer to this: I, too, am going to be unavailable for much of the weekend.
