yostevo 0 Posted September 5, 2007 Detroit Lions Start Roy Williams-- He may be the only sure bet on the board IMO. Expect maybe 100 and a touch Tatum Bell-- He should get plenty of touches with no KJ around so naturally would receive enough points to be a good 3rd RB or flex. Hanson-- Showed a strong leg in the preseason for an old man and will get some oppurtunities here when drives stall out vs. Oakland Bench Kitna-- I'm scratching my head about this one but I think it's the right thing to do. I can see some yards but I'm just not seeing many TD opps. Furrey-- Will probably get some average yardage numbers. You should have better options. Calvin-- Not this week young fella. Lions D-- Not an option even against the Oakland Duckett-- Only an option in big leagues but I'd take a wait and see approach to how they use him.

RamslovaMartzhata 3 Posted September 5, 2007 Rams: Still one of the Kings of Fantasy Football teams. remote controller 133 Posted September 5, 2007 Start: Colts: Manning, Addai, Harrison, Wayne, Clark, Vinatieri, and consider Utecht Saints: Brees, Bush, Duece, Colston, Mare, consider Johnson and Henderson So I'm a bit overboard above. These two teams are gonna pull out all the stops in this one, and I would surely consider involving any Colt or Saint in my lineup, to cash in.

Steel City Blues 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Pittsburgh Start: FWP - Should see quite a few carries Ben Roethlisberger - Has looked sharp most of preseason Ward - Best all around WR in the NFL Santonio Holmes - Time to show he is good enough to be a #1 WR in the NFL Defense - Charlie Frye (like you need another reason) Sit: Heath Miller (the forgotten man) Pittsburgh should come out to set the tone for the season EARLY. today32 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Start:Ben Roethlisberger - Has looked sharp most of preseason Since we know that Cleveland won't put up more than 13 points, I can see Pittsburgh scoring early and then just running the ball to milk the clock for the rest of the game. So IMO, if Parker rushes for the 1st and/or 2nd Pittsburgh TD, Ben will have a tough time getting any more than 250 yards and 1 TD pass. I'm considering whether or not to start Leinart instead, knowing that the ARI/SF game should be a 31-28 type of game with lots of opportunities for Leinart to throw the ball. My gut just says that Leinart has a better shot at throwing 3 TDs this week. Ben would be the safe pick, but Leinart has more upside this week, IMO. What would be your best case/worst case scenarios for Big Ben?
Angry White Male 0 Posted September 6, 2007 Dallas Cowboys Start 'em: TO JJ MBIII DEF Sit 'em Romo Witten (unless you have no other options) Glenn I predict an early lead that is sustained later in the game by the ground game. I think Romo goes for 200-1TD, with TO catching the TD. DEF gets a TD off of a Manning turnover as well. The rest of the scoring is done by the backs as Dallas controls the tempo and wears down the weak Giants DEF.

cmh6476 756 Posted September 6, 2007 Houston Texans Start 'Em: Andre Johnson Ahman Green (if you don't have better options) Sit 'Em Matt Schaub Owen Daniels (unless he is your best option) I guess I'll try and do whoever is playing the Chiefs as well, since I do know what our D is about. I like Matt Schaub this year, but not sure how he will do coming out of the gate. I know he did well filling in in Atlanta, but this is a whole different ballgame now with new coaches a new system and his first opportunity to lead a team. Plus, the Chiefs D isn't the slouch that it once was. We'll also have some quick athletic LBs on Daniels, so I wouldn't expect a whole lot from him. Maybe close to 100 and a TD from Andre, and I would guess 80-90 yards for Ahman and a TD. I know people are expecting big things from Ahman Green this year, but the Chiefs bulked up at DT and Jimmy Wilkerson (filling in for Allen during the suspension) is a decent run-stopper, he just isn't the pass-rusher that Jared Allen is. Being a closet Texans homer (converted Oiler fan) is really tough. But I think people may be surprised by Schaub. It's weird, but I live in the DC area and have still read in the papers about the "vision" Schaub has demonstrated. I like your homerism, CMH, but don't think your secondary is all that (JMHO). Schaud should be a good play as his release is quicker than Carr's and his mobility will make it more difficult to sack him. If anyone is in for a long day it will be Huard with 2 young highly drafted DEs. Keep an open mind but the Texans may surprise this year. Hopefully optimistic <_<

Hopefully optimistic <_< yeah my reasoning for sitting schaub, is because he was not drafted to be the starter in most leagues, so you might as well go with your starter until you see a few games and have a better feel for what you have in Schaub. I would guess maybe 260 and 1 or 2 TDs for Schaub, which isn't bad I'd just go with your starter at least the 1st week.
