Finished my first 5K!

Recommended Posts

Without disclosing my bib number or time, just wanted to say that I finished it and did a LOT better than I thought I would.

Hubby was VERY impressed, as I did better than what he thought I would do as well. He actually bragged to several people about it when I wasn't around...so that's pretty cool in my book. :)

I have also registered for a 10K on Thanksgiving Day, hope to maybe do a half in the spring. I received a suggestion to do a couple of halves before I do a full marathon...so will keep that in mind!!!

Thank you those who have given me support! I appreciate it and  you for it!!!

Congrats

Two questions:

1) Are your funbags sore after bouncing around for however long the run takes?

2) Where are my nekked pictures you promised me last week? :overhead:

No, my boobage isn't sore. I wear two sports bras, and the first one is pretty constricting.

The nekkid pics are still on my computer, I didn't send them. LOL.

Look....I have been on these boards a lot longer than most of you, and only post when I see a topic that deserves a reply.

Not bursting TNG's bubble, but she obviously was looking for some attention by telling folks she ran her first 5 k.

Perhaps you should lurk here more often; telling us that TNG is looking for attention is NOT a topic that deserves a reply. HTH.

For a beginning runner in their 30's (I am guessing), running a 5k is a good milestone to hit. Most people in their 30's are so out of shape they get winded walking up a flight of stairs.

I have never read a more tear producing 187th post than that one. Makes me proud to be a member here and to have witnessed a Mr. Football post. :music_guitarred:

He's got a great shot at that 200 milestone by the presidential election. I for one will be cheering for him.

I can't even run from the tv to the crapper without resting inbetween. :music_guitarred:

Thank you!!!

This was my first official race. I do plan to do more, and hope to one day do a marathon. I am starting out slow; both to not hurt myself, and to also not set myself up for failure.

I do wish you luck and give you credit for getting off your azz and doing it.

I am by no means a serious runner, but have done a dozen or so marathons and halfs

CH, the only thing you can finish is a tripple decker ten pound burger. :music_guitarred:

I just might make a 200th post if TNG's continues to cry out for attention.

I always believe in quality over quantity

 What a d1ck. The "Attention" crap is old, tired, and way overused. Get some new material people.

What are you using to soothe the near fatal chafing between your thighs?

Maybe she would be nice to enough to tell you so you won't get any more skin tags where your fat titties meet your bingo wings, Jabba.

How's that for quality? So nice you had to post it twice. STFU Postwh0re.

Congrats on the 5K. Makes me sad, actually. I was running 3 miles a day earlier this year and told some friends I was considering running in a 5K. Ironically, I was too lazy to figure out how many miles were in a 5K.

And my times....nothing to write home about, but I was doing 3 miles in 24-27 minutes. Not bad for a former fatfock that never even ran a full mile at once before my 28th birthday.
