Sorry, but if the median income is $36K, and the median house/condo value is $75K, it ain't "booming."

They are building homes all over town and have been non stop for a long time. The cheapest new homes are around 120k. They go up from there to over 2 million. I don't think the link shows these homes though since a lot are out of the city limits as of now. There are subdivisions being built constantly, it never stops. There are subdivisions now where I use to play as a kid. Business isn't booming, although they are trying to get another factory built in Chandler. Houses though, are being built year round and have been for a long time. It's kinda shocking to me to see all these new homes being built on lakes and land I use to fish and camp on when I was a kid.

Oh I have no doubt detroit is that black. Detroit used to have a mix of whites and blacks but after the 67 riot the majority of whites started to leave the city in a "white flight'. In 1967 blacks made up only 40% of the total population. Now it stands at 81% with only 10% of the total population being white.
