The Hood 9 Posted January 19, 2011 Now even Florio is apologizing. But hey...the Hood thinks he is an ass...so, I guess thats ok. A douche actually. Well the Packer's PR dept. has done a very nice job of making Rodgers sound so very nice and kind. And with what has been quoted from the women I agree it doesn't sound like he deserved to be killed over what happened. But his quote to Dan Patrick that he "didn't see her" I find a little dubious since she's so close he seems to move out of her way, has "met her on previous occasions" and she's all in pink. Yet as Florio, Doyel and all others I have seen write stories on this, including that Packers blog, have agreed with what I said the whole time...........he looked like a douche with the brief scene you see on the video. But know knowing the full story on why he seems to blow her off................it was premature to attack him for it. Of course Rodgers didn't sound very nice this summer either when he blasted Kornheiser and Jaworski on a radio show. So I'll hold off on the apology................. In a thread created by Sweatness with hundreds of idiotic posts from him, Bmoney, Dallas Empire and Swamp....... I find it fascinating that by me simply saving you the trouble Don, of posting the last bit of evidence that Rodgers was now better at everything Brett is known for..........caused all this blind rage, turmoil and crying by you guys. I tried to let it end a couple times but someone keeps feeling the need to call me out again................I think the fear of the Pack losing this week has them holding onto this fight because there's a slim chance with all of you against me .............you'll actually manage to atleast pull this one out and have something to brag about next week. Hardly. The only way you end your involvement in this topic is if you stop attempting to qualify what you said while still thinking you're getting away with a jab @ Rodgers. I'll even tell you what to say: "I'm sorry for posting this idiot nothing of a story; I should have realized within a moment of hearing it that it was unfounded nonsense." And then we pat you on the back for being big enough to do that.
edjr 6,602 Posted January 19, 2011 Forget how the packers handled this situation, forget how favre handled this situation. Lets remember how Aaron Rodgers handled this situation. Absolutely perfect, from all aspects. Aaron Rodgers personifies professionalism, the exact opposite of Twat Favre. 'Grats to the Packers and their fans for having Aaron Rodgers as their QB for the next 10 years.

Phurfur 70 Posted January 20, 2011 What a bunch of maroons. So now Mike McCarty tells us Aaron Rodgers gives the packers the best chance to win. Oh really? Then why were the GM and the coach willing to fly down in a private plane and officially un-retire Favre 2 weeks after he retired? Gotta love the dumb and dumber packer front office. At least the Bears had no choice other than go with a Grossman vs Orton competition since the FA QBs and Qbs in this year's draft were not really great to begin with. But here we have dumb and dumber telling us that Rodgers is better than a QB that just had their team in the NFC Championship game. Oh and I love how McCarthy realizes the O is gonna stink with Rodgers so he covers his azz by telling us how he is a defensive coach. Oh really? Since when did he become a defensive minded coach? ============== "Aaron Rodgers is the starting quarterback for the Green Bay Packers," McCarthy said. "That's been stated over and over again. I hope we can finally understand that. That's where we are as an organization and as a head coach of the Green Bay Packers. I don't know how else to answer that question." =============== Despite his background as a quarterbacks coach, McCarthy prefers to win with defense -- a philosophy that presumably works best with steady but unspectacular play from a quarterback. ============== Who gives you the better chance of winning? MM- AR is our starting QB. That should answer the question. ============== MM- Moving forward means the emphasis is on the DEFENSE. I believe the defense is the focal part of this team as we move forward. Then Special Teams. Thirdly, the offense's ability to score points. "The football team has moved forward with the emphasis on defense," McCarthy said. "Because that's what I believe in."

shovelheadt 71 Posted February 14, 2011 This thread keeps getting bumped to rub it in the faces of posters that on the most part are no longer here. Why keep it going? While I'm usually with you on the stupidity of bumping old threads, you have to look at the subject matter on this one. We weren't discussing sleeper WRs or the which RB to draft first. This was franchise altering decision, by one of the most popular franchises, dealing with (at the time), one of the most popular players of all time. Toss in Rogers' draft ordeal, and how he handled the next 3 years, and I'm guessing it'll be another decade before we see another situation that rivals this one. I just wanna see Rogers win one more to completely nuke any support Favre may have left in Green Bay. And let's all root for Manning to break his game streak so his name will never be spoken again. Generally I agree, but most people here agreed that Thompson made the right call but handled it poorly. Fvare jumped the shark and it was time to part ways despite the anomolie season he had with the Vikes a couple of years ago. Tell me how TT went back and forth! Had your memory erased? TT did not bend over backwards for Favre (which is why he and his family were pissed...he thought he deserved more). And there was no back and forth? So the weeks of media reports out of Favre then the Packers back and forth didn't happen? The thing played out through ESPN...that was the big mistake by TT and the Packers. It should have been done behind closed doors. Both sides screwed the pooch on how it was handled. This is what I saw but then I don't watch ESPN, maybe that is your problem? 1. Favre retires 2. Rodgers is named starter 3. Favre changes his mind 4. Packer attempt to trade Favre 5. Favre is gone
