Voltaire 4,587 Posted April 1, 2009 This is one of those rare football positions where there is no debate on the best ever. QB, RB there are always two or three guys named, but not here. With my first rounder I wanted to maximize my chances of landing someone who will give me the best chance of being rated #1 overall in their category. Everything is up for interpretation of course but I feel Rice owns the WR category more than anybody else owns any other category.
Voltaire 4,587 Posted April 1, 2009 And while we are at it... We need to have a draft thread and a separate commentary thread to get rid of the clutter. Next, I don't know what Bucket of AIDS or Joe Bryant's Love Child even mean. I need a clarification. Bucket of AIDS = judged in one of three ways 1) on fame/celebrity status/notoriety of somebody either with HIV/AIDS or 2) someone who has made great contributions in the fight against HIV/AIDS or 3) someone who's incredible stupidity/irresponsibility has resulted in making the HIV/AIDS situation worse Joe Bryant's Love Child - people with the temperment/disposition/personality traits of Joe Bryant
Chronic Husker 85 Posted April 1, 2009 3) someone who's incredible stupidity/irresponsibility has resulted in making the HIV/AIDS situation worse So, can somebody fraft Ronald Reagan and use him as greatest leader and Bucket of AIDS?
Voltaire 4,587 Posted April 1, 2009 So, can somebody fraft Ronald Reagan and use him as greatest leader and Bucket of AIDS? You'd plug him in as either/or. In Bucket of Aids category, Ronald Reagan is only judged in how he helped/hindered the fight against AIDS. He gets no help from his celebrity/fame since he wasn't infected. IAMWood 6 Posted April 1, 2009 Signs, signs, everywhere there's signsFockin' up the scenery, breakin' my mind Do this, don't do that, can't you read the sign Nice pick. A real triple threat. I know you are joking but just for clarification,The Band originally did that song. Tesla is nothing but an average hair band who sang a cover that pretty much imitated the original. Tesla is nothing but an average hair band who sang a cover that pretty much imitated the original. just for further clarification, it was the Five Man Electrical Band that did "Signs" not "The Band", who were the group famous for "The Weight" (a dylan song i think), "Cripple Creek", and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down"
IAMWood 6 Posted April 1, 2009 just for further clarification, it was the Five Man Electrical Band that did "Signs" not "The Band", who were the group famous for "The Weight" (a dylan song i think), "Cripple Creek", and "The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down" That's right, I just knew it wasn't Tesla, I didn't take the time to look it up, I knew it had something to do with "band". My bad. The songs you metioned by The Band do rock, I must say. Just making sure Tesla wasn't getting credit for a great song like that, I am sure Five man wouldn't be offended by my mistake, but would be offended by the Tesla one. cbfalcon 824 Posted April 2, 2009 Volt, it would likely help if you kept updating whose pick it was in the sub-heading of the thread. Or is that going on somewhere else since I never saw the Einstein pick?
Voltaire 4,587 Posted April 2, 2009 Volt, it would likely help if you kept updating whose pick it was in the sub-heading of the thread. Or is that going on somewhere else since I never saw the Einstein pick? One of the other drafters started a shadow thread. I'll see if I can modify the title. I've never done that before but kutulu does it all the time in the Lost thread. The thing is, with my time zone difference, I'm not around around to keep it updated so I can't keep it accurate.
