Altercation with neighbor(s) regarding Curbing my Dog

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I just got back from walking my dog and he urinated in the street.

I then heard 'that's disgusting' from two of my neighbors.

Now, when he poops I clean it up with a bag, but WTF am I supposed to do about my dog urinating?

I know I could try to stop him, but he actually poops and urinates while he walks - not sure why.

Truly though I was just standing there letting him go (urine) in the street.

I should note (and the woman reminded me) that some of my neighbors walk around in thier bare feet on the street.

As I was leaving (continuing to walk my dog) I heard 'if he does it again I'm calling the cops!'

Now there is a sign on another local street that says 'curb your dog $250 fine.

Does anyone know if that includes urination?

Won't it just evaporate?

I'm sure I'll just walk him down a different block to avoid those neighbors, but I'm wondering if a dog urinating in the street is considered not curbing a dog.

Personally, I wouldn't care if someone's dog urinates in the street. However, it can kill grass so if I saw it doing it on my lawn I'd be pissed.

Agreed. Which is why I don't allow him to. That is, I use the leash to keep him off other peoples property.

BTW, I just read that if you let your dog piss on your keyboard it fixes a known bug with the Opera web browser and sound. Might help with your other problem.

:dunno:

Go clean it up with a mop and then tell your dooshbag neighbors that if they call the cops yer gonna shove the mop handle straight up their ass and out the top of their head. :dunno:

:dunno: I can't believe anyone would ever be cruel enough to curb a dog...one of the most violent acts imaginable.

I'd go out there in the middle of the night and poop in that neighbors' yard.

No I don't. I go over the wall on my neighbors lawn. You think I'm gonna kill MY grass?

i don't own a dog but i found this on ehow:

allow such dog to soil, defile, defecate on or commit any nuisance on any sidewalk, gutter, street, play area, park or other public area or on any private property without the permission of the owner of such property. This prohibition shall not apply to that portion of a street lying between the curblines or pavement edges where no curbs exist, which portion may be used to curb a dog, provided that any person who so curbs a dog shall immediately remove all feces left by such dog

if they walk around without shoes, don't they risk stepping on grass that was previously peed on? isn't urine sterile anyway?

Take a bottle of bleach....go over to their yard in the middle of the night and write "FUCKYOUDOUCHEBAGS" on the lawn with the bleach

Let em call the cops, and after they  a few times, those jerks will be the ones with the problem.

I'd also take a hard look at their place for any 'violations'.

You did exactly what you are supposed to do. Curbing your dog means having him urinate on the street. That is the ideal place and neighbors should be glad that you are able to get your dog to go on the street. Most won't. I'm a property manager and I deal with this all the time. Going on the grass is bad for the grass and dangerous for the animals, given all the insecticides and weed poison that gets sprayed. Tell your neighbor to read a book once in a while.

Or..go punch him in the face in front of his dirty old wife.

WTF? I understand poop, but piss with just evaporate/soak in the soil. Hell, even poop will become fertilizer in a few weeks. This is why i will never live in suburbia,

it's either ghetto where people don't give a sh1t about their lawns or sidewalks, or more likely, country where dogs and sh1t and piss freely with the rest of the wildlife.

Seriously, i am a very mellow and calm person, if someone called the cops on my dog pissing, i would have to defecate their property in some way, maybe even sodomize their unborn children if it comes down to that...

Simple problem really. Your dog is obviously quite trainable. Teach him to piss on your foot then place said foot on neighbor's face. For max effect, hold neighbor's nose during procedure such that he must breath thru his open mouff. He will never again complain about your dog pissing in the street.

Problem solved.

Have we gotten so retarded as a society that a dog can no longer piss in the yard - and now we're going to take away the street as well?

Why not just kill all dogs so we don't have to worry about it?

LAwn, yes. Street, no.

Dog urine will kill grass. If you choose to allow that on your own property, that's fine. Dog urine will not harm black top. Anyone who has a problem with a dog pissing in the street is a tool and has nothing to back him up from a legal standpoint.

A spray bottle of Tomato juice will deactivate the pee, and save the yard and plants.

Negative.

Also, even if it did work, you'd have to witness the dog peeing in order to spray it. The best thing is for dog owners to keep their dogs off other people's lawns. The road is fine.

While walking my dog I think I could pull it together long enough to witness him pee! I would spray there!! I understand what you are saying but luckily people here in the Panhandle don't worry where dogs pee.

These neighbors need a focking wake up call.

I am curios though. When you walk a dog and pick up the poo in that bag or whatever, what do you do with it??? Carry it?? Put it in your pocket?? TIA

If aliens are watching us, I wonder who they think is in charge down here after seeing humans picking up doggie poo.

Well, I pick up the poop and then carry it to a garbage can that is along the horse trails that are nearby. Need to walk on the street to get there.

Roger that.

I am still surprised these neighbors would even suggest that the dog not piss in the street. One of the craziest complaints I have ever heard of someone making.
