I'd say no.  if CMC is healthy he will play a full load.

but right now hes not.  so Mason will have some value for a couple games

Saw the interview as well.  He said they told him Friday night he was starting.  Sounds like SF played some games with McCaffrey’s status.

yeah, I think saying he knew when he did was a mistake.  he should have said he found out the morning of the game.

but its done and over with.  I'm sure the league wont be happy about that, but we wont likely hear anything about that discussion which will be behind closed doors

It could also mess with people's lively hood if they gamble on the games.

I’ve been playing FF a long time now & I always make the same mistake. I forego players like Mason because I think it’s a 1 week, maybe 3-4 week, rental, so don’t overspend or dump a regular (NFL) starter. And then the starter’s injury lingers… or ends up in a share, etc.

Or McCaffrey returns , and Mason becomes a bench warmer, seen it happen both ways.

Advantage Mason. He's been in Shanny's system for a couple of years so there's no learning curve. If he goes off against the Vikes, and I think he does, then there's no reason to rush CMC back. I'd rather him be out multiple weeks to get totally healthy. Calf should be fine but it's the Achilles tendinitis that's concerning. It could pop at any time if not properly treated and given the rest.and conditioning it needs. Thus I have total confidence in Jordan Mason to carry the load for San Fran and have a good game today as evidenced in his #2 rankings for RBs this week.  May not get the yardage he had last week but I certainly think it's possible he scores 2 tds.  San Francisco 49ers repeat last week's score against the Jets and win 32-19 in what some call.a.Sam.Darnold revenge game. He played well.last week but that was.against less stellar Giants defense. He won't have the same results against the 49ers defense. The kne bright spot I see for the Vikes is Justin Jefferson goes over 100 yards and a score. Aaron Jone had a really good game against the 49ers last year in the playoffs bit it'll be tough sledding for him this week as Fred Warner, Nick Bosa and company will limit Jones' production.

season long, I doubt it.. But yep, he's been with us and, since CMC is on IR, keep your fingers crossed on Mason's health. I was lucky to get him on waivers, for now, until CMC comes back. Then Mason will obviously take Mitchell's spot.

but he's definitely earning some playing time!
