I am on both sides of the argument. No use pouring salt on an open wound and laughing at death.

 

That being said... as I personally feel every choice and sentiment is from each person's own self... I personally am not saddened by the death of someone who I do not know and who really didn't give me any entertainment value in my life... but moreso at the waste of God given talent.

 

In the end his demons prevailed in a way that seems indicative of Henry's troubles in his life. While I wouldn't laugh at it, I also lack the compassion for it.

It's a shame he died, but I feel no sadness or remorse for him. I do feel sad for his fiancee, though, as she has to live with this for the rest of her life. It seems like she just wanted to get away from a bad situation and he was chasing her/trying to stop her and he died as a result. More than likely she truly loved him, since he was her fiancee and all, and now she killed him. Tragic.

For one, why exactly should I respect him?? Because he died??? Happens every day to millions of other people I could give a rats ass about.

 

Secondly, I didn't say he had it coming. But I am not surprised in the least that something "came" and he died young. His whole persona was thug and thats the way he chose to live his life. Make those choices and that is the price you pay sometimes.

 

I feel for those he left behind but I could care less that Henry is dead and I don't think the world lost much.

Here's a newsflash for you: People die all the time, and the simple fact that Chris Henry could catch a football makes him no different than any other person, so the outpouring of sympathy for him in this thread is completely disingenuous because not one of us knew him. I know this wasn't aimed directly at me, but you did say "you bozos", so I feel compelled to elaborate on my stance. Do I care that he died, not really. It doesn't affect my life personally and, as you said, people die all the time and in tragic ways. I don't mind the jokes in the least. I just feel that it's a shame he died and it's tragic in that he left, what, 3 kids or something, that will grow up without their father.
