It's an EXCITING Time to be a Seahawks Fan

Recommended Posts

I turn my back for one focking second and Okung is being carted off the field. What was it? Ankle again?

So he's going to have one of those kind of careers.

Limped off the field to the sidelines, then got carted back the locker room.

Can't even make it through the first series of the preseason....not a good sign. :(

Tarvaris still sucks.

HTH :pointstosky:

But according to Pete-I-ran-away-from-college-before-I-was-caught-for-cheating-Caroll it was all Childress' fault for jerking this kid around.... :overhead:

Leroy Hill just got resigned the other day. I expect a LB starting lineup of Curry, Hawthorne, Hill. And maybe troll for depth.

Yeah, I'm going to have to revisit this thread when time permits and crack some skulls. Especially that Jets retard that knows all about Carroll from his one season coaching in New York. The height of idiocry.

How does it feel to be a fan of this shiatpool of a franchise? I live in the NW....I know how pathetic this franchise has been throughout it's existence. One fluke season does not change that. Enjoy the TJoke and Whitehurst show  .... oh, and thanks to playing in the worst division ever in football, you get no luck with Andrew Luck even. Thanks to the other teams sukking so much in the division, you will fluke yourself to a 5 win season only to get another OL that will get injured in the 1st preseason game. Enjoy the season nimrod! :overhead:

As a Vikes fan, that is Jackson, no more, no less. Such a weight has been lifted not seeing him in Purple. Sorry Hawks fans, no one to blame but Pete and your GM for TJack.

Let's see...

Franchise QB that cowers at the site of a sugar packet? Check.

Worst GM in Seahawks history currently running the Bears front office? Check.

A head coach that couldn't figure out how to make a tuna sandwich if you handed him a tuna sandwich on a plate and said "here's a tuna sandwich". Check.

Kid toucher Walter Payton still dead from AIDS? Check. Check. A thousand times Check. Oh, how Walter loved the young boys. Especially a young lad named Sweetness_34. And he carried around lots of candy in his pocket with a hole in it. And you just loved candy. Walter's van had lots of candy. Always remember that the "S" in "Law & Order: SVU" stands for Sweetness.

Hey, it's not like we spent a high first round pick on Christian focking Ponder. At least Tavaris is just temporary.

You know, for as much as I like to bash the Hawks fans, even I can't stomach Sweetness. He's beginning to make GFIAFP look sane by comparison.

No need to get defensive, not mocking you, just letting you know it won't get better.

I wasn't getting defensive at all, I know what to expect whenever Jackson is under center.

I would have been pissed if Seattle drafted Christian Ponder at 25, I can't imagine what it must have been like to see him taken just outside the top 10.

Meh, even bashing him has gotten old. All he ever comes up with is BAAAAAAAAH LOSERS!!!

Where is that guy that has 10 different Cowboy fan aliases? He's at least entertaining at times.

Gee thanks for your insight. Now, go worry about Donovan McNabb.

I'm kind of concerned it seemed like a big deal for Carrol to win the preseason game. Just pumping up a bunch of young kids or what?

Washington looked pretty good to me, I think he might be the handcuff for Lynch if your going to try to pick one.

The team looked about how I thought they would with all the new faces. The Okung injury kind of puts a damper on any positives for me, but at least it isn't a fracture.

Whitehurst looked competent. James Baldwin is going to make the team.

Not much else to say. I really hope this is the last Okung ankle injury for a long time. Fock!!

He looked to me like the same guy he's been since his first day at USC.

That's just the way he is.

I'm pretty sure he's the second oldest coach in the league, but there's no way you could ever tell. It looks like he just drank a 4 pack of redbull right before the coin flip.

You should see him in practice.

Wasn't he healthy his whole college career too?

arrggghhhhh!

I'd say (Even though I preach o-line unity) shut him down the rest of the preseason. I didn't realise we resigned Polumbus to back him up. Great move. I was all for it, so I can't believe it got past me.

As for the kids. (The UDFA's I'm talking about).

Third string QB. I forgot the kids name. But other message boards were saying we stole him as an UDFA. He's been looking good in camp, and I am very glad to see it on the field too.

There was a really good safety too that walked on. Jeron Johnson out of Boise St. I didn't get to see if he did anything.

And Baldwin I know nothing about. Other than he looked like a legit reciever from day 1 of camp, and I expect them to keep 6 WR's this year.

Josh Portis is the QB. Carroll and Schneider were raving about him leading up to the SD game. He was real nervous at the start but when he settled down he played great. It was funny Gruden was really giving Portis props when Jaworski chimed in with the "yea but he's not exactly playing first string talent." Gee thanks Jaws. But the fact is, as Gruden stated earlier, when he played against inferior competition he dominated, which he should have. So it was encouraging that he plaeyed real well in the 4th quarter. It's not like the Hawks have never had an UDFA QB make the team and eventually start!

Clinton's cousin. He's quite the project but this is probably the best team for a guy like him to be on.

Jaws was bashing the O-line too and Gruden was like "it's only the first preseason game, settle down!"

Updated Cap Space

Hawks sitting at $15,487,368.00.

How are the Rams over? Are Bradford, Jackson and Long making that much?

Some fan comments I found entertaining:

Mike Brown has a little pocket change left over to buy himself a new used car. Should have spent it last year to resign Jon Joeseph.

Wow. Al davis. A legend! 17 million before we start the lockout.

and boom. we sign a lot of players, and we still have 5Mil left over! loving it.

Now lets get tatupu with that money!

yea! the rams are in first for once!

no their last, their in the hole $822,036.00.

The free agency frenzy was interesting, to say the least. I'm convinced this team is much deeper this year, with an upgrade at talent or at least more competitive players added overall. It's not cringe inducing when a player gets hurt and their overmatched backup would come in, like last year. The reserves really outplayed the San Diego reserves last week. The starters....eh....not so good.

Tavaris Jackson oozes dumbness. One look and...tuck it and run. I saw very little as far as progression reading. Just sheer panic. Whitehurst was much better, and Portis was no slouch.
