IGotWorms 4,059 Posted February 26, 2011 So I've noticed a problem viewing threads int he last few days. More often than not, when I open a thread the FFToday banner loads and then the ad banner loads underneath that, but then it just stops. I have to hit F5, sometimes multiple times, before it gets past loading the banner and actually displays any part of the thread. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it something wrong with my 'puter or is FFToday focked up? Is this the beginnign of another latin pimp fiasco? Should I start stocking up on canned goods and ammo like BLS? Update for MikeFFToday: The Vistaprint and Progressive ads appear to the culprit. Anytime one of those ads is displayed the rest of the page will not load. Vikings4ever 557 Posted February 26, 2011 I get it too sometimes. It seems to be just a couple that do it, Best Buy, and some BS Green ad.
Mike FF Today 732 Posted February 26, 2011 IGotWorms, I've had this happen a few times but it's been pretty rare and haven't noticed it lately. If it happens to you (or anyone else for that matter) send me an email with the following info and I'll check it out... 1. Window's or Mac? 2. What browser and version are you using? (IE 7, 8, etc; Firefox, Safari)? 3. What ad banner caused the lockup (Best Buy, Ad Council, DirecTV,)? Thanks, MK
IGotWorms 4,059 Posted February 26, 2011 OK, thanks Mike. I've had it happen a lot to me lately, not just on this site either. I don't know if it's just my comp or something different they are doing with the ad codes. I'll let you know if there seem to be certain ads that do it. gocolts 300 Posted February 26, 2011 I have to refresh a lot lately to get a thread to come up as you described, but didn't realize it was ads causing it. Just figured it was my PC. I will try and pay more attention.

IGotWorms 4,059 Posted March 1, 2011 The Vistaprint banner is doing this left and right. I think some of them have malicious code or something to cut off the page underneath. I don't know if it's intentional or just someone being an idiot, but either way it really focks things up here.
