Magnificent Bastard 191 Posted April 28, 2015 As far as winning or losing, the way I see it, I'd say that I'm on Team Littlefinger and Team Stannis. Littlefinger is a sneaky little sh!t who is very skilled at the long term strategy. I appreciate the chess board approach. And he orchestrated having that annoying wench going for a skydive with no parachute. When the Wall sent out a distress call about the Wildlings and the White Walkers to all the kingdoms, the only person of note that responded was Stannis. He had just reacquired an army and could have set out to try to conquer Kings Landing, but instead went to the North to help fortify the Wall. He has ambition but seems to have a more noble goal that the other sh!theads that are vying for control or already have some. If Stannis hadn't insisted on the kneeling. Mance probably would have joined him, and he would have been much stronger. I feel his Hubris will be his downfall. He's like Peyton Manning, a perfectionist who doesn't know how to react when things don't go as planned.
edjr 6,605 Posted April 28, 2015 Yeah, that kneel thing was so focking moronic. Give it up dude, you're only heir to the throne because your brother was king and had no children with the queen.
TD Ryan2 316 Posted April 28, 2015 phillyballs, I agree with you on Stannis a bit - he does see ruling in a more noble, higher purpose role as does Danaerys, whereas the others are in it solely for self-interest (Cercesi, Boltons) Also, big point to the show for getting the dragon queen naked again - very creative way to give the viewers what they want. TD Ryan2 316 Posted April 28, 2015 Yeah, that kneel thing was so focking moronic. The show has set up a great dynamic of "following the law" and how the black and white law isn't always what's best for society or rulers. Dany executing the slave dude two weeks ago and the crowd turning on her. Following the law? Yup. Was it the best/right thing? Not sure. Dany exiling Ser Jorah. Law? sure/maybe/ Good? not so sure Stannis executing Mance. Law? yup. Good? nope John executing Slynt? Law? yup. Good? yup.

Mike Honcho 5,288 Posted April 28, 2015 Margaery has been winning from the start of the show. Although I suspect her streak will end in a most unpleasant way. She has? being used by her brother as a fock toy to loan out? oh YEAH! totally winning. Didn't she sleep with 2 different Daario Naharis' as well? wh0re Ed, you have the wrong girl, Daenerys <> Margaery

OldMaid 2,130 Posted April 28, 2015 The problem with Stannis is the Firecrotch She-Debbil he keeps company with That and the fact that he's an uptight stick in the mud. Look at poor Davos. He smuggled in onions that kept Stannis alive during the siege of Storm's End. Sure he knighted him... but not before cutting off his fingers for smuggling. It's kinda hard to root for this guy. Dany executing the slave dude two weeks ago and the crowd turning on her. Following the law? Yup. Was it the best/right thing? Not sure. Was she even following the law there though? CantTouchThis 23 Posted May 4, 2015 This show is still fantastic. Here are my criticisms: - The random pub encounters are a reach all these major characters trek across the word and conveniently bump into each other. Absolutely In the books, Brienne doesn't come CLOSE to finding anyone, which is much, much more realistic than bumping into every major character in a country the size of the entire eastern seaboard. They made her a more exciting, likable character, but her storyline is wayyyyy off the board. I am not sure how I feel about Sansa in Winterfell yet. I totally get what they're doing. Arya is learning. I am really glad they are following his storyline very closely, because it gets really interesting really quickly. They are NOT a fan of showing perilous journeys, such as Tyrion's slow river trek through The Sorrows and down the Rhoyne. Or the whole climb to the Eyrie. CantTouchThis 23 Posted May 4, 2015 BTW, incredible episode. I really liked how they managed to write in a few critical stories of pre-Robert's rebellion to better paint the picture how we've gotten to this point. It all started with a rose. Okay, NOW I like what they are doing with Sansa's storyline, even though they really had to have LF explain it to us I am still not sure how I feel about Selmy, but, alright, I'm on board for this season now. Quickolas1 80 Posted May 4, 2015 Brienne doesn't come CLOSE to finding anyone False. And use spoiler tags. She "finds" Biter and then Lady Stoneheart. Are we getting anything regarding the Greyjoys? ....because I would think the fact there are 2 horns - Mance's Horn of Winter to bring down the Wall - and Euron Greyjoy's Horn to control dragons miiiiiiiiiiight be important plot devices. Not to mention Victarion's quest leading to a Battle at Slaver's Bay which is supposed to be the first big battle of the non-existent book 6.

My guess is that they're going to leave it for next season... just in case Martin doesn't have book 6 done by then. They're going to need some material. At this point I'm not even sure if I'm kidding about that. I guess we now know what they meant by "we'll get some deaths that don't happen in the book". I hope Grey Worm isn't another one of those casualties. Even though he always looks constipated... I like him. Also good to see that they're finally giving some backstory on Lyanna and Rhaegar. I was wondering it that would come into play. Let the speculation on that little story begin!

mobb_deep 920 Posted May 4, 2015 Good episode! Finally a few boobs and some blood. Best of the season so far. My only gripe is those chicks on Dorne are pretty crappy actors. Especially the buff lesbian one, that sounds like Michelle Rogriguez.
TD Ryan2 316 Posted May 4, 2015 1. Yup. John Snow must be Rhaegar and Lyanna's. 2. Yup. Those Dorn women were so bad, the scene didn't even feel like GoT. By far the lowest quality scene in the series - bad writing, bad acting. 3. The Bronn Jamie fight was good stuff. Hand-shield could work well! 4. The One True God is the God of T!ts - fabulous, gravity defying, t!ts. 5. Nice play(s) by Cercei - just when you thought she was down and out.

parrot 789 Posted May 4, 2015 1. Yup. John Snow must be Rhaegar and Lyanna's. They were pretty ham-handed with that. In the books the hints are a slow burn, but the show just basically hit us over the head with it last night. And for the record, that's not a spoiler; it's never been established that that's the case, there is just a lot of speculation. Can't believe they killed off old Barristan the Bold. Also, other than Grey Worm, the Unsullied were terrible in that fight.
