Spoiler Alert (sort of): I wrote on my facebook that watching the Game of Thrones is like watching a movie about the Jackson 5 and by the end only Paul McCartney is left. Unless people come back from the dead or this is a "it was all a dream" trope, I just can't continue to be emotionally invested after all of my favorite characters are either gone physically or mentally. I was sincerely revolted after the....you know what scene. This show is sick and twisted. I wonder if the author of this book made all of this in his head or swiped some of it from history? He has borrowed liberally from history, particularly the War of the Roses. That scene is supposed to be shocking and revolting. I also thought it was crazy that it was intended to be a trilogy. I'm a bit wary of how this season will play out. I am curious to what they will keep and add in the show. Also to see a lot of new places/landscapes. Dorne, Braavos, hopefully Valantis. It's gonna be fun... Sansa's storyline is going in a direction that is unknown. Either it is what Martin intends, or Benioff and Weiss are going their own direction. Jamie's arc is also supposed to be off book... I'm really not sure how I feel about the whole thing. I don't necessarily want the last two books spoiled, but not sure I can stop watching at this point. And now the icing on the cake seems to be that Martin has pitched another show to HBO, instead of sitting his fat, sloppy ass down to finish this epic series. It almost feels like he's stalling. They need more time for fatass to write the next book and they want to make it to at least 7 seasons. However, what good does it do to watch 4 shaky quality episodes, then waiting over a month for a fresh episode? It’s like leaving a bag of dog food for a mutt for a week, then watch it devour all of the food within the first hour and proceed to starve. If you fell into the trap, to pass the time, you could check out the new show Daredevil. It’s grittier than the Chris Nolan Batman movies, plus the lead hero character isn’t a complete tool; a bonus is that Vincent D’Onofrio chews up the scenery. For those that read the George Martin books but are whining and gnashing their teeth since the show is apparently very off script, Boo Fricking Hoo. Just goes to show, reading is stupid and is for losers. Stop it. When you have a cast this size, you can’t touch on all of the characters in the same episode. Therefore, not seeing Arya, Theon/Reek, Bran, or basically any sub characters in North lands or even the expected Dorne characters. Hodor!! The flashback with young Cersei was well done, as that kid was doing a nice job in conveying haughtiness. So, Robert Baratheon had 20 kids. Impressive juice. I’m surprised Cersei didn’t have her sparrow cousin killed to keep him silent, but I guess she has a soft spot for any member of her family that she focked, which is extensive. I really need to go back and rewatch Season One to jog my memory for some of these characters that show up, and I’m wondering who the Hell is that. Queen Eyebrows is going to have quite a chess game for power with that frump making googly eyes at Tommen. Let us never see Frump’s brother making out with a dude again. So uncomfortable. There was a ratio of 3:1 of men nekkid compared to women nekkid in this episode. That makes my pants sad. Tyrion arrives at Pentos in a wooden cage full of sh!t. This is the second worst Loot Crate ever. The worst had memorabilia based on Aquaman. Varys has big plans. I have plans to start a drinking game based on whenever a Lannister drinks on screen, I drink. I’ll be unconscious within 3 minutes. A lesson to heed is never go to a cuddle party. Here is a dragon queen that no longer has dragons. A recipe for disaster. This is what happens when you demand equal pay. I’ll really disappointed with Daenerys. Not that she is boring and no longer has dragons around, but we are forced to watch a man’s butt for an endless amount of time, and she is sitting naked in a bed and won’t even have the decency to show her boobs but covers them with a blanket. Boooooo!! Baelish and EMO Sansa dump Robyn off at summer camp. I look forward to seeing what Little Finger is up to. That message he received may have been relaying the news that Tywin is dead. Bork Lesnar is giving Podrik a tough time. Look, how cranky would you be if you had a period and the only way to sop up the mess was jamming a stick covered with moss into your fish bucket? Kind of an interesting scene as the carriage rode by Bork, nearly connecting some dots. Of the leading contenders for the crown, I’d say Stand With Stannis. He was really obsessed with making Mance bow to him. You really could use the troops that the Wildlings would provided to add to yours. You could easily overrun the North and descend upon King’s Landing; Robb Stark showed the blueprint. But you needed Mace’s cooperation. Eh, Kings, what can you do?. Is Jon really oblivious to the advances made by the red head witch? We see a witch setting a pyre ablaze to burn someone at the stake. An ironic act. A man that refused to bow, shot with a bow. There’s some word play. So, does Jon catch sh!t from Stannis for easing Mance’s suffering. Does Jon convince the Wildlings to fight after his sympathetic actions in Mance’s death?
