the greatest play in baseball history

No offense to Rick Monday, but I'd have like to have seen what Bo Jackson would have done to those two fools.

Still, an awesome video. :headbanger:

Not sure if Bo would have lifted a finger. I have no doubt that Luke Scott would have done something. Scott is the BLS of MLB.

I am 40 years old and follow all sports reasonably well and have never seen that "play" before. Not a Dodger fan in the least but kudos to Mr. Monday!

Simple to pull off today.

poor gasoline on yourself, run out on the field wearing a flag and wait till they taze you.

ditto.

I feel a whole lot better about my Rick Monday baseball cards now.

I think I even have a Rick Monday All-Star card (Topps '79?) in there somewhere.

Awesome play. I always like when the ump gives an enthuiastic call to go with it. Just adds to the drama.

Im not a yankee fan by any stretch of anyones imagination. That being said this is the best baseball play of my lifetime. I would go so far as to say that 99% of ALL mlb ss playing would not have even been in position for the flip......let along made the out.

I was just about to type the same thing. Can't believe I've never heard of this before today.

If it was in the 13th game of the season, it wouldn't be... It was because of the situation...

Personally, I think this play beats it...

For some reason I thought that was for the pennant, not the WS. :bench:
