Kent 228 Posted September 21, 2011 What would you look for in a trade for him? His value is reduced in reality, but in fantasy, hard to trade that #1 pick.

joeshushu 51 Posted September 21, 2011 I just traded him away for a Snikers Ice Cream bar and a nude picture of Whoppi Goldberg
RoadLizard 73 Posted September 21, 2011 I love it - One hit wonder that has ruined more fantasy drafts than any other player in recent memory. Ya should have taken Peterson.
SFGeek 0 Posted September 21, 2011 I just traded him away for a Snikers Ice Cream bar and a nude picture of Whoppi Goldberg You got a great deal. Although the thought of Whoopie nude just made me puke in my own mouth.
MDC 7,428 Posted September 21, 2011 I'm trying to deal him for a Fitz type wideout with obviously no luck. At this point I hope he's IR's so I can confidently start Tate the rest of the way. I really wavered on Foster vs. Rice at 2 overall and I'm kicking myself for ignoring my gut in favor of "expert" projections.
Kent 228 Posted September 21, 2011 I love it - One hit wonder that has ruined more fantasy drafts than any other player in recent memory. Ya should have taken Peterson. I didn't take Foster. I'm trying to acquire him. Wondering what is reasonable to offer.
krizay 0 Posted September 21, 2011 As a Foster owner it's too early to panic. I'm confident in my team(s) to get by without him for thwe short term. And yes when he gets back he will most likely be in a committee situation. But come playoff time (fantasy version) everything will shake itself out. But irregardless week 14 (cin), week 15 (car), week 16 (ind) there will be enough carries for the both of em. So hang tight and he will pay off when it matters. assuming you drafted good enough to cover your asset. Which you should have knowing what you knew on draft day! msudavedawg 5 Posted September 21, 2011 I could have had LeSean McCoy for him before the Miami game but no longer. Its a keeper league so I'm not sweating it. Plus I have Tate so they can let Arian get good and healthy.
We Tigers 71 Posted September 22, 2011 I didn't take Foster. I'm trying to acquire him. Wondering what is reasonable to offer. I have him in a pair of keeper leagues, so that's probably skews my perception of his value high. I'd want an RB who projects out pretty well for the rest of the year and the future--maybe a Mendenhall type--plus either a top-15 type WR (Holmes? Marshall?), or a major upgrade of my TE or QB. In keeper or dynasty leagues, really no reason to sell a beast because he's going to be on the bench or minimally used for the next 2, 3 weeks. Basically, all it means there is that you could actually trade for him, whereas before the season he was priceless. In a redraft, it'd totally depend on the roster and the record. At 0-2, I'd be strongly considering moving him for an elite wideout or good-not-great RB who's healthy and has a cake schedule coming up. At 1-1 or 2-0, I'm probably not moving him for much less than what you would have paid for him week 1; I've already done okay without him in that scenario, and I know he can blow it up when he gets back. FISHDEW 0 Posted September 22, 2011 I just traded Foster and Sproles for Calvin Johnson (Foster is also a keeper for one more season losing round 5) - I was happy to make the trade!
dumbassmax2001 0 Posted September 22, 2011 Foster/Tate owner here. I was just offered Andre Johnson straight up. I'm seriously contemplating it since I have decent RB depth (Team in sig).

Teren 2 Posted September 22, 2011 There was a thread about someone being offered beanie wells for Foster...at this point id rather have wells I dunno if this person is talking about the thread I started but the Foster owner offered me Foster and Tampa Mike Williams for Brandon Marshall and Beanie Wells but i dont think im gonna accept
We Tigers 71 Posted September 22, 2011 AJ or Calvin would be pretty hard to pass up. I'd probably take that in redraft or dynasty, especially Calvin.
ProfessorP 0 Posted September 22, 2011 There was a thread about someone being offered beanie wells for Foster...at this point id rather have wells That was me. Didn't pull the trigger, though. Can't get it out of my mind that the other guy sees something in Foster that he's willing to trade me Wells.
Kingstowne Dealers 14 Posted September 22, 2011 I would take that. AS IS. no refund
throttlers 0 Posted September 22, 2011 A bigger question for me is what is Tate's trade value and is he a good sell high candidate if you own Tate and not Foster.
msudavedawg 5 Posted September 22, 2011 The league where I own him and Tate I am only getting reasonable offers if I am willing to package both of them together. Otherwise is all lowball stuff. Would rather just let him sit and ride Tate for now than take one of those deals.
josepaz2 1 Posted September 22, 2011 How about for those of us who own both Foster + Tate do you think its reasonable to look for something like High End WR1 + High End RB2?
dream_team 2 Posted September 22, 2011 Don't panic on Foster just yet. I think he's a good buy low guy right now. He's definitely better than Tate! And when Foster is back 100%, he'll get majority of the carries. Kubiak isn't a RBBC guy. They'll probably do a 75/25 split once Foster proves he's 100%. omarkal 0 Posted September 23, 2011 Just traded Kenny Britt, my 7th round pick(12 team) for Arian Foster.
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted September 23, 2011 I love it - One hit wonder that has ruined more fantasy drafts than any other player in recent memory. Ya should have taken Peterson. At least with Foster he'll play again this year. J. Charles not only crushed fantasy teams but also the Chiefs. He was their last remaining hope to avoid 0-16. MDC 7,428 Posted September 23, 2011 I tested the waters with Foster an got no where. The rest of my team is pretty solid so t this point I'm tolling with Tate and hoping one or the other puts up huge numbers at some point.
wild_and_crazy_guy 5 Posted September 23, 2011 You can trade Foster for another really, really good injured player. Maybe Steven Jackson or Jamaal Charles.
Zackattack 0 Posted September 23, 2011 I am sitting on Foster. I picked up Tate for Daniel Thomas just incase.
msudavedawg 5 Posted September 23, 2011 Have been offered Fred Jackson for him and I own Tate as well. I'm tempted but it's a keeper league and I would hate to give up on him and then have him be the new Adrian Peterson the next 2 years.
R8RMick 242 Posted September 23, 2011 Watched Belechick's reality show last night. He is VERY high on Fred Jackson for what it's worth... Sure looked good Sunday. Looked faster than I thought he was.
We Tigers 71 Posted September 23, 2011 If you own Tate, I don't think there's any reason to trade Foster, especially in a keeper. Fred Jackson will probably produce over the next few weeks--his schedule isn't scary--but Ben Tate will too. Then, switch. You're in the best situation an owner of one or more Texans RBs could be. ffexpert 4 Posted September 23, 2011 i have foster but not tate. i just traded Starks and Santana Moss for Tate. both were on my bench, so i think it was a no brainier.
CedarGrovePack 2 Posted September 23, 2011 just traded the Foster owner Tate/Harvin/Flacco for Fitz/M Bush(DMC owner) other in league are calling it garbage. he's 0-2 & needed to do something with no other RBs
RaiderHaters Revenge 4,350 Posted September 23, 2011 I just traded for Foster, Tate and Henderson in a 15 team ppr I gave Mendenhall, Graham and M.Bush
robocardz 14 Posted September 24, 2011 I just traded for Foster, Tate and Henderson in a 15 team ppr I gave Mendenhall, Graham and M.Bush In a keeper league -- Arian Foster is about 25% of our TOTAL team cap (about the usual foundation for a 1st round guy) ... I'd like to target him to just hold on to next year for Topper Rights... I have offered Beanie Wells (cap rate about 8%)... haven't heard back... I also have Dwayne Bowe I am considering offering... I think Bowe may be too much to give up for him right now, but not sure? Any thoughts.... thx DR RB

NPNG 4 Posted September 24, 2011 I was a Foster owner (but didn't have Tate). Wednesday night, traded Foster, Ward, T. Young for Hightower, Helu, R. Wayne. Tonight I took Hightower, Helu, R. Wayne, and E. Manning and traded for C. Johnson (Ten), Ringer, R. Fitzpatrick, and Jacoby Jones. In essence, traded Foster, Ward, Eli, and Titus Young for Chris Johnson, Ringer, Fitzpatrick, and Jacoby Jones. I felt pretty good about that on 2 aspects: 1) When/if Foster is healthy it looks like some type of committee with Tate running as well as he has. 2) If Johnson has the midseason injury I've been reading that many believe he will have, Ringer has looked great in the carries he has gotten so far. Not too worried about a sharing situation in Tennessee; they didn't pay Johnson all that money for 12-15 carries a game. They'll run him till his legs fall off. robocardz 14 Posted September 24, 2011 I would laugh you outta the building if you offered Bowe for Foster. Not sure why ?? It was consensus that Foster was a top 3 pick this year -- he doesn't have a lot of "wear" on him. Again this is a KEEPER league -- I wouldn't be doing it for this year, but the future. I like Bowe ok, but definitely NOT with Cassel or Haley... I see a very good upside with Foster (allbeit not this year) -- Bowe not sure -- their Salary Cap $$ is within 20% of each other... Am I Crazy with this line of thought? LOL ... probably so..
