quote manipulation

I know you have a little tiff with Hawker and Philly, but that is just as lame as it is gay. I don't usually have a problem with Packers fans and definitely don't have a problem with your team, but you're looking bad here.

Just move and and appreciate the win over the Saints.

I'm well over it...

It doesn't affect us... the difference between 13-3/12-4 means nothing to us.... especially when you win a Super Bowl at 10-6 and lose to the Giants at 15-1...

All about getting hot at the right time....

My very clear point is that it affects your team.

It gives the illusion that things are great when they're not.

And it gives your coach -- who loves RW even more than I do -- plenty of more reason to stick with him plenty longer

HTH!

Go start your weekly thread complaining about the refs and rub your stinky, infected vagina until it chafes.

I made a great point about how your non-win win falsely inflates your record and will keep the quarterback you all hate so much quarterbacking even longer...

You guys attacked me and refused to address my excellent point.

Just trying to bring some objectivity....

No need to kill the messenger

Good luck the rest of the way

The entire Green Bay team. Plane crash. Great height. Lightning. Crocodiles. Fire. Salt the earth to kill survivors. More crocodiles.

If you were over it you wouldn't be posting in a Seahawks thread. It's clearly gnawing at you.

Don is fun in these discussions because he totally thinks he is right and completely lacks the self-introspection to consider the possibility that he is on tilt about the Packers' loss to the Seahawks. I expect him to quote-manip this post and tell me again about how I spend too much time posting on this board.

The focking Rams are about to go 3-2, this division is getting serious! :shocking:

Lets keep trotting the rookie out though....he's bound to break 200 yards eventually.

Accept it...you're 4th best in your division. Rams are back, pissdrinker.

Go eat a bucket of shite. Sam Bradford sucks. How's that Amendola collarbone? :headbanger:

Congrats on the *2-2 record. All the optimism is richly deserved and there's no reason for anyone to question the validity of your team or their record.

We should have a rule if your going to bait homers in a thread about their team be man enough to leave your team in the signature so we can return the favor.

Really? Thats your contribution? I guess I should be thankful that I wasn't told to go drink my own urine, sigh.

I agree Sam Bradford sucks, do you think we can get Fisher to trade him within the division? Cause he would look great in a Seattle uniform except our recievers aren't a whole lot better than the Rams WR corp, sigh.

You are somewhat correct. The record should be 3-1. Stupid refs didn't call some obvious pass interference calls on Arizona on the last drive in a game Seattle deserved a "W" for in Week One. Thanks for pointing that out.

Don't listen jgclownfish. He's a bandwagon Steeler fan who lives in Texas. He watched the Steelers beat the Cowboys in a Super Bowl and jumped on the bandwagond. I have no respect for fans of that nature or any opinion they express. Just ask yourselves a question: why is a Steeler fan posting in a Seahawk thread? He's obsessed with us. It would be real easy to start an in season Steeler thread but no, he would rather spend his time here. He's diabetic moron.

Rumblings around the league through several outlets are suggesting that Wilson is on a short leash today and if there aren't any sustaining drives early, Flynn will enter the game.

Interesting. Hopefully this will motivate Wilson and Bevell to be more aggressive and/or effective. Shouldn't be too difficult...Carolina has Gamble and Beason out for this game.

Initial thoughts post game after a nerve wracking win over Carolina.

Good teams are capable of scoring more than one TD per game. Good teams don't have conservative offensive play calling that still results in 2 or 3 INTs a game. God, if they opened things up, they might throw 8 or 9 INTs per game. Good teams blow out teams that have Newton go 12 for 29 in completions.

The defense is tremendous. Other than a baffling inability to stop teams on 3rd and long. A memorable goal line stand at the finish. Lynch is the only weapon on offense. Wilson stinks. He STINKS. Ignores wide open WRs and thrown check downs. Over and over and over. Can we bring back Tarvaris Jackson? It's ridiculous. Does Carroll think this team is going to keep teams from scoring less than 20 points every single game. Well, 5 times so far. But I can't take a full season of game planning for winning 19-16 type games, where every game unnecessarily comes down to the final 3 minutes. It's utter sh!t. Also, Irvin has managed to make a few plays this year, so he has exceeded my expectations for this year when I expected him to be complete useless. Now, he's better than completely useless and on his way to barely mediocre. On passing downs only.

I can't remember ever seeing a Seahawks team that didn't let their opponent convert 3rd downs almost at will.

Wilson sucks and Carroll's stubborness on sticking with him is killing the team. They were very lucky to escape from North Carolina with a win over a vastly inferior Panthers team. I don't get it, what did he have to lose pulling Wilson when he was stinking up the place?

A top 5 defense and the league's leading rusher and we're a VERY ugly 3-2. This team deserves every bit of criticism it receives.

It's easy to complain about Wilson, but if you think that if Matt Flynn comes in that this team will start chucking the ball all over the field, you have not paid attention. The passing game will be what it is because that is what Pete Carroll wants. He wants a monster running game and a monster defense to win each week. The QB will simply manage the game. Flynn is no savior. Get behind Wilson because unless he gets hurt I don't think Flynn will see the field. I'm not saying I agree with this. I'm just not gooing to bang my head against the wall calling for Matt Flynn.

Wilson is a rookie and will make (and has been making) rookie mistakes. But he's a smart kid and he will improve. I think the Seahawks game plan is exactly what he needs to become successful in the NFL.

FWIW:

Andrew Luck (1) - Colts 2-2

Robert Griffin (2) - Redskins 2-3

Ryan Tannehill (8) - Dolphins 2-3

Brandon Weedon (22) - Browns 0-5

Russel Wilson (75) - Seahawks 3-2

We all expected the running game and defense to be the dominant pieces of this team. I had expectations that the QB play would be better that horrible. But, it's horrible. A game manager that throws a bunch of INTs and cant' get you more than one TD per game. That sucks. Really, really sucks. Wilson is the first best of the 5 rookie starting QBs this season. Wilson is a bottom 3 starting QB in the league right now. He makes everybody around him worse. The best thing for this team might be for Wilson to get injured. Wilson did not beat out Flynn in preseason. Flynn played at a high level. It was purely a coaches' decision. Look, if we all still think this is a 4 year rebuilding effort, then fine. Because next year is year 4. Which means this year is being sacrificed. But they better win the Super Bowl next year, because all these young talented players will not fit under the cap. So, instead of taking advantage of the opportunity this year, we are throwing it away to see if Wilson can be a starter in this league, and at this point I don't think he can be.

Wilson has more talent surrounding him on a more talented team. The only person that Wilson might be as good as is Weedon, but I'd still rather have Weedon staring for us right now.

it doesn't make any sense to start a rookie with the kind of talent the Seahawks have on defense and offense.

but for fantasy sake, I've been starting against the Seahawks for the past two weeks and it has paid off.

St Louis gave me 14 points, and the Panthers (one of the worse defense in the league) gave me 20 points. I also picked up Patriots last week to prepare for this week.

Until they start scoring points, I don't trust this offense. Wilson is clearly a game manager and not a game winner. If the Hawks were down 2 scores in the 4th qtr... you can call it over.

That's what really burns me about yesterday. Even on a long road trip, with our defense and our run game we should have slaughtered the Panthers. Newton played like ass, not looking at anybody other then Smith. We should have cruised all game and finished up by at least 2 TD's. A win is a win but Wilson almost seems like he's regressing.

It is what it is at this point, Carroll obviously isn't going to switch, but with RW's physical limitations there isn't a whole lot of room for improvement. I pray I'm being an overreacting Nancy and Wilson proves me wrong, but the realist inside me just doesn't see it.

If we want to go 4-2 next week the defense will have to hold one of the best offenses in the league and one of the greatest QB's of this generation to under 17 points. And that's with Hernandez possibly being back. No way we can score with those fockers. The D will have to play out of their minds and probably score a TD themselves.

Now I have thought starting Wilson early was a mistake from the get go and I do not like what I am seeing from him. But is it time to give him a little bit of a break? The WR's are just not getting open, except McCoy and Miller. I was expecting Baldwin at least to shine but with him and Rice being invisible so far on the season its tough to judge if Wilson is improving or not.

What kills me is we just won't ever get a chance to see what Flynn can do as long as the team hovers around .500. I know I should trust the coaching staff since they get a much closer look at the QB's in camp and practice, but Flynn did not look horrible to me in the preseason. Wilson basically beat up on a bunch of third stringers/practice teamers and had one good preseason game. Flynn did all right and also beat up on the third stringers/practice teamers when he played in the second half.

Still a win is a win! I liked seeing them take that intentional safety on the punt too, smart play! Make Carolina have to march the full length of the field and kill some more clock.

I'm rewatching the game. If Newton looks to throw at anybody other then Steve Smith Seattle loses.

If my Grandma has balls she's my Grandpa but it still makes me queasy.

Funny you mentioned the Steve Smith lock, the announcer was basically screaming the same thing the entire second half the game. He was openly wondering if Greg Olsen did something to piss off Cam Newton. I didnt see the Greg Olsen thing on the couple plays they highlighted because it looked to me like Earl Thomas was trying to bait Newton into that pass, since both Thomas and Kam where in the vicinity.

On the plus side, I have Steve Smith on a couple teams and couldn't be happier with him. He was consistently available in the 6th round in my drafts and is my 2nd/3rd WR on a lot of teams.

To stray away from being so negative, Bruce Irvin looks like he could be a pass-rush specialist beast. 4.5 sacks on mostly pure talent. Not too shabby...

Yeah Irvin looks very good on pass rushes right now and hopefully develops additional skills to become a complete player a la Suggs. Great pick so far especially considering how big of a weakness pass rush was entering the season.

Wilson is pretty bad right now but Carroll is a stubborn SOB.

Well, there is no greater thing that to watch the Fock Tom Brady video on the morning of a game with New England. I remember listening to this foul mouthed song many a time prior to last year's Super Bowl. And staring at the blatant awfulness of the production. Cheers.
