New Way to get HIGH ?

Recommended Posts

Have you heard about how teens are using bath salts to get high? It's true, there are brands of bath salts that have chemicals that can cause a meth-like high. These aren't your normal epsom salts or Bath & Bodyworks products. In order to get high off the salts, you'd have to snort, inject, or smoke them, so there's no risk of hallucinations if you're just soaking in the tub. But that hasn't stopped addicts from trying to get the chemicals into their bodies any way they can. "The powders' effects are similar to those of methamphetamine, and can include rapid heart rate, visual hallucinations, paranoia and psychosis, as well as self-mutilation and suicidal thoughts, authorities say."

These salts come from head shops and some convenient stores. The are usually a very small amount and average about $25 for a small amount. The San Francisco Bath Salt Company, issued a statement last week.

"These are not your typical bath salts, or really even bath salts at all," wrote a representative, adding that none of the imposters contain sodium chloride (sea salt) or magnesium sulfate (epsom salt), "staple ingredients of a typical and true bath salt."

Experts agree that these new drugs are very addicting and can cause severe, sometimes irreversible psychotic episodes. This product may be labeled as plant food, as some was found in the UK under this disguise..

I feel sorry for kids today. If this is all they can get to get high they should just drink. Our generation had great drugs and were easy to get. I should have been more thankful. These poor bastards get to smoke bath salts and eat peoples eyeballs.

I did all sorts of stuff - snorted anything I could. Smoked whatever was available but life was simple with just weed and beer

The next time I run around the community naked, I'd be interested in eating homeless people's faces as well. Where can I get some Bath Salt?

Because of passing news about 'bath salts' a couple years ago, I thought they were particular types of actual bath salts (originally) that kids found they could get high from. So then "bath salts ;) ;)" began to be manufactured and sold in stores, with the warning "not for human consumption" which was the key to knowing they were the "bath salts ". It wasn't until that stage that there was publicity.

Basically shrugged it off, assumed it was weak stuff.

This isn't good though:

Because bath salts are made by "street chemists," there's really no way to know what chemicals are actually contained in any given quantity of bath salts, one expert told WebMD. There's also no medical test to detect bath salts in a patient. "The only way we know if someone has taken them is if they tell you," the expert said.

Despite new laws and a growing awareness of bath salts' side effects -- notably, dangerously high body temperature, extreme paranoia, and vivid hallucinations -- the use of bath salts seems to be on the rise in the United States. Poison-control centers tallied more than 6,100 bath-salt emergencies in 2011, up from just 303 in 2010, The Daily Beast reports.

source

“Bath salts’” effects have been likened to PCP, cocaine, LSD and methamphetamine. Like meth and cocaine, “bath salts” raise the blood pressure and body temperature. Many users of “bath salts” will strip their clothes off because the rise in body temperature is so severe that they feel as though they are burning up. Like PCP, “bath salts” induce a violent euphoria, making the user to believe themselves to be invincible. The multiple shots needed to take down Rudy Eugene during the zombie-like cannibalism incident are congruous with records of PCP users, who also display imperviousness to pain. “Bath salts” are also known to produce hallucinations similar to those produced by bad LSD.

...since the stuff is more accessible than the hard core drugs being mimicked.

When the media talks about bath salts and references the mass produced "purple rain" and so on, I'm guessing it's a little irrelevant now. The problem is the execution of the basic idea (with all its variations) on the street.

I saw a guy in a convenience store after the bars got out straight huffing whipped cream bottles and had several discarded ones on the floor.

But those were better times...

Weed and shrooms back when I was in college, kept it safe and natural. No one ever od'd on either shrooms or weed.

Plus there was a recent medical study saying how shrooms could have long term positive effects. You might enjoy reading this article dank.

'Bath salts' is just the idea they came up with to let them market an amphetamine without it being made illegal. It is in no way an actual bath salt, and I'm amazed they didn't nail the manufacturers of the sh*t under the Trade Descriptions Act (UK) or Federal Analog Act (US) years ago.

Yeah, "Molly's Plant Food" isn't actually plant food either.

You know some loser freshman had a bunch of his freinds over, and they ate a bag of miracle grow and then pretended they were "sooo high."
