Chronic Husker 85 Posted August 26, 2012 You got a purty mouth Ned Beatty.... which is ironically somewhat how I picture you IRL. Training Day (not Deliverance)

mmmmm...beer 814 Posted August 27, 2012 Nope. But hopefully his parents are much more open to discussing ghey relationships, as the expirence most likely turned the little bastard queer. Dammit I missed this earlier! I don't think you have anything to worry about. At his age... any coot he sees is ! Which is as it should be!
Savage Beast 1 Posted August 27, 2012 Low and behold... towards the very end, out of nowhere with no reason. One of the main male teenage characters starts talking about his boyfriend. I'm all like..... wtf? This guy is the "jock". Well to be fair, most of the jocks I went to high school with were the most bi-curious dudes I have ever seen. The public shower grabassing was nonstop. I made sure to go home and shower after basketball practice.
Cdub100 3,979 Posted August 27, 2012 During a rainy weekday while on vacation I took my 2.5 y/o son to the movies Ice age 4 or what ever. Thanks to the Paranorman preview we never even made it to the actual movie.
mmmmm...beer 814 Posted August 27, 2012 Dude, you're making a huge deal over nothing. Dude... how olds your son? How about your daughter? ooohhhhh yeah.... Anything that has to do with them is kinda a big deal to me. That they have something like this situation put upon them as someone else's agenda is unacceptable. You might think it's not a big deal and positive, but I don't agree and that's sort of the point. It's my kid. For instance some of you don't believe in God. I'm sure you wouldn't be a huge fan of a movie really having nothing to do with religion all of the sudden at the end tell your kid your all going to burn in hell because they don't believe right. Soooo... yeah. Is that something that as a parent you would want to discuss that with them yourself before it be put upon them by someone else?
titans&bucs&bearsohmy! 2,745 Posted August 27, 2012 Dammit I missed this earlier! I don't think you have anything to worry about. At his age... any coot he sees is ! Which is as it should be! You forget, this is the internet age. He's already seen lesbian strap on ass to mouth pron by now. Kids today are going to be some sick bastages by the time they are 25. As for the OP, I get your annoyance, but really, just tell the kid "some boys like other boys instead of girls" or whatever and move on. Quite frankly, all you probably have to say is "What? Oh look, there's something shiny, do you want ice cream" and he/she will forget all about it.

I'm just saying, there are plenty of things out there to get all riled up over. This isn't one of them. Your kids were gonna find out about gays sooner rather than later. Christ, its not like they through the buttfocking scene from brokeback mountain in there.

I'm sure you wouldn't be a huge fan of a movie really having nothing to do with religion all of the sudden at the end tell your kid your all going to burn in hell because they don't believe right. Did the movie have some explicit message like this? Because if it did you missed that in your original description where the character just mentioned having a boyfriend. Gay people are out there, they exist, they've always been here and they will always be here, they aren't going away. Acknowledging this to your child isn't going to hurt him. rholio 339 Posted August 27, 2012 It's a kids movie, I'd prefer they keep any kind of sexuality out of it. From IMDB (quoting Jerryskids): Sex & Nudity3/10 A boy pauses his mother's exercise video and looks at her buttocks. Norman jokingly says he was watching "sex and violence" on TV to his parents. Norman's teen sister ogles at Mitch since he is shirtless. A teenage male character talks about having a boyfriend. Alvin grabs Courtney's buttocks, and Courtney makes a comment. You don't see this. A teenage girl is very curvaceous, and wears tight pants with her buttocks sticking out. None of this belongs in a kids movie imo, and is aimed at an older audience. Voice_Of_Reason 0 Posted August 27, 2012 Pretty disappointing. We are very open to our kids about how things are and what they should expect to encounter in the world. But as parents, it's our choice when and where to do so. So we won't be taking our kids to see it. I felt the same way about other movies like Ice Age 2. No need to throw in words that aren't needed in a kids movie.

jets24 6 Posted August 28, 2012 Whatever... it's not up to them to throw this sh!t in a childrens movie to push whatever they believe. I could give a fock about what someone wants to do with d!cks and asses. I happen to to think 5-10 year olds, mine anyway, need not focking have a cartoon throw that sh!t at them. Let them be kids for a bit longer. This a million times. We are headed down this path and I feel bad for the kids of this era. Not a good time to be growing up. Bambi's mother dies in Bambi- isn't that a 1000x more damaging to a kids psyche than finding out Johnny has a BF?
