bjsteel 34 Posted September 11, 2012 RB's on Atlanta apparently are going to be useless, even in a blowout...I figured Turner would get some garbage time, kill the clock touches...guess not.
The Hood 9 Posted September 11, 2012 Only week 1 and he already played only 1 less snap than Turner. Don't think anyone thought he'd be a great play the first game of the year. Lots of reports that Turner looked old and slow and didn't match up very well with an even more pass happy offense and it certainly looked that way against the Chiefs to me. Rodgers will be a nice 3rd RB in a few weeks I think............should continue to see more playing time at Turner's expense. If the Falcons are going to be explosive they cannot have Turner back there.

It was 20-17 at the half. Not a total blowout until late.

Frozenbeernuts 2,235 Posted September 11, 2012 didnt do much yesterday That's because he sucks. Turner is going to be better than he was. He is going to have plenty of goal line work.
Joey Gladstone 33 Posted September 11, 2012 Hold. They play 15 more games. A lot could happen.
Chronic Husker 85 Posted September 11, 2012 Did ya watch the game? ATL didn't need or want to run. Im not sure they punted. Of KC's two best corners in the past 20 years, one was out injured and the other now plays for Dallas. hth
nzoner 937 Posted September 11, 2012 Im not sure they punted. Only once
dreen626 17 Posted September 11, 2012 They were throwing at the damn 1yd line. If Turner had gotten ONE goal line carry for a TD I would have won. I started this bum over Ridley, D.Martin and A.Morris. I think Turner will get plenty of GL carries moving forward though. He just wont be starting for me. I will trade him the moment he puts up a nice game.
lguero1 4 Posted September 11, 2012 throwing from the one. wow. falcons are the NFC Patriots. thanks for the info. i thought for sure he would continue with GL carries even if he lost carries between the 20s to quizz. he is scratched from my list.
Ditka vs. ______ 0 Posted September 11, 2012 You mean he didn't lead the league in week 1 scoring? Cut him.

tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 11, 2012 hold, but honestly im not hopeful. The falcs only need a rb for one thing, to pound when needed, and quizz doesnt fit that role. I dont agree w the popular opinion that by midseason he will be a ppr machine and gettin all these looks in the passing game and making jerious norwood plays left and right. The falcons have a gameplan and i dont think its using quizz, its pounding turner, and only when needed. That said, quizz is on my bench.
SexyRexy 60 Posted September 11, 2012 Hold him...You had him heading in for a reason...If you thought he was going to bust out of the gates then your expectations are too high...He's worth stashing.
Dr Hook 6 Posted September 11, 2012 I say hold. You drafted him (hopefully) thinking that he would not be a starter for you until he was able to take on enough of a role to be a player. I say keep that thought and see where he goes unless someone is wiling to help you fill a need in a trade.

HTownSmitty 0 Posted September 12, 2012 That's because he sucks. Turner is going to be better than he was. He is going to have plenty of goal line work. I live in the ATL area and all the talk here has been about how bad Turner looked, and how the Falcons really need to find an alternative. They just aren't sure that Rodgers is that alternative. Turner is pretty clearly trending downward and it looks like Koetter doesn't trust him to punch it in from the red zone.
Tuxedosam 4 Posted September 13, 2012 I dropped J. Rodgers already not looking good for him
socrilles 0 Posted September 13, 2012 Dropped jacquizz for Stephen Hill pickup, Have Demarco, Ridley and ADP, while being a little weak at WR so that definitely influenced decision
steelers2101 7 Posted September 13, 2012 Dropping Jacquiizz after one game is an amateur move. He may be average all year, but you likely drafted him for upside and to expect it week 1 or drop him is a mistake.
