remote controller 136 Posted September 28, 2012 In my opinion these are the angriest groups of Republicans. They watch Fox News or listen to Conservative Talk Radio and they think it makes them an expert on politics. The only knowledge they have of politics is parroted talking points without any facts to back them up. When you defeat them in debate they will resort to calling you names like “Liberal,” “commie,” “socialist” or “baby-killer” etc. They think all liberals are socialists that want to take their money and give it to people who don’t deserve it. Sadly the angriest group of americans on the planet are NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, and those Liberals that complain about the fact that FOX and Talk radio exist. jerryskids 5,402 Posted September 28, 2012 I don't understand the point of that section, and the article it links is not available. Care to explain? It says that liberals consider conservatives "ignorant" because they aren't bothered by a problem (lack of economic equality), but it isn't a fair conclusion because conservatives don't consider it a problem. It then attempts to provide an opposite analogy with a problem conservatives perceive but liberals don't. Don't know about the link.

MDC 5,964 Posted September 28, 2012 I think the OP is overstating it, but overall yeah I'd say today's Republicans are angrier than Democrats or liberals. I'm basing that on the tone of pundits / shows like Hannity, Rush, etc. They are constantly whining about real and imagined grievances from poor people, gays, blacks, feminazis, etc. And when it comes to politics it's usually not about sane disagreements in policy with these people - it's always about Obummer the muslim Manchurean candidate who hates white people and is trying to destroy America. I'd blame this just on just a handful of fringers, but you hear the same deranged rhetoric from more than a few of the GOP politicians and read it here at FFT every day, so I'm guessing a sizeable percentage of Republicans today are really angry, miserable people. There's probably some significant overlap between these folks I'm describing and the 33% or so of Repubs who insist that Obummer was born overseas and his birth certificate is a fraud. MSNBC is the exact same thing as FOX NEWS. One is for the ignorant, close-minded haters on the left, and the other is for the ignorant, close-minded haters on the right. The others don't come close to either as far as being partisan. The problem with conservatives is that they believe that anyone who doesn't believe the same as they do, has liberal bias. BudBro 123 Posted September 28, 2012 Obummer was born overseas and his birth certificate is a fraud. even cbs is now asking for some documentation. we will likely see a forged long form out shortly, since the election is approaching. that might be the october surprise since they already had to use the 47% romney vid to cover up killing ambassador stevens. cbs is shilling the bc setup, making it look like even the msm is wanting docs, then the long form will magically be made available. the dude who worked on the fake computer version is dead now, so he won't be able to say anything. it's gonna be hard since arpaio has already shown all the numbers surrounding obama's certificate, so unless they make it xxxxxx.5 to fit in the middle where he's supposed to be, they're gonna have trouble forging a long form. I said it is shtick, not a serious belief that you are menatlly ill. I concede that, IMO, conservatives have become more... vocal in their discontent in recent years. It used to be that when a liberal would rant and rave, a conservative would just nod their head and move on with their life. I could speculate as to the reasons, but that would be speculation. We go around stamping our feet like petulant children who aren't getting their way. I think the big difference is that some of today's foot-stamping conservative children were actual presidential nominees. Instead of one LaRouche or Jesse Jackson type fringer on stage you get an entire panel of crazies today. Back in 2004 or so if you suggested that the White House planned 9/11 you were considered some fringe crazy weirdo and pushed to the sidelines. Today around a third of the Republican party thinks that Obummer was born overseas and you've got actual candidates clamoring for his birth certiciate. The mainstream GOP has gone absolutely nuts. It'll be pretty funny to see how they respond when Obummer wins re-election.

Voltaire 4,586 Posted September 29, 2012 Hawaii is 'overseas', Magellan. Hawaii is a state. Although it was the last one admitted, it's ability to churn out a president is on equal footing with such president-factory states as Virginia, Ohio, and Massachusetts as well as the rest of the 49 stars on the flag. It has been a state since before Obama was born. And even if his mother prefered to leave modern Hawaii in order to have her child delivered by witchdoctors in Kenya, it wouldn't matter. He's still an American because he was pulled out of an American crotch. That exact situation revolved around Mitt Romney's dad; he ran for president even though he was born in Mexico to US citizens and nobody gave a sh*t to challenge his citizenship. Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson was born to two Irish immigrants fresh off the boat for only a year. His mother was so deep in the backwoods at the time of his birth, she didn't even know what state he was born in and it remains an unresolved situation today yet he remained eligable.
