***The Official Seattle Seahawks 2013 Season Thread***

Recommended Posts

Not only is Percy Harvin going to debut this week, but it appears we are finally getting back 3 offensive line starters. And Red Bryant will play. Hell, except for the Brandon Browner injury, a groin pull that might keep him out for a long time, the entire team is healthy for the first time all year. Sweet.

And if you notice this team gets better in 2nd half of the year under Carroll. Good times ahead!

Oh, not me. The football stadium in New Jersey is less than 100 miles away from me. If the Seahawks make it, I might be road tripping and getting a scalped ticket, no matter what it would cost.

It's official, you are a poor bastard.

Harvin and 3/5ths of the line back. A safe little practice game at home vs. a JV team, so hopefully everybody stays healthy (especially Harvin and Okung). Bye week. Then the REAL NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME in Seattle.

Finish up undefeated in the division. Give the reserves some reps at MetLife (I love watching Michael run). The road to the SB runs through Seattle.

It's Ironic that this thread doesn't have its old title. I've never been more excited. :bandana:

I threw in a "Greatest Team Ever Assembled" tag line, but the sh!tty new lay out of the forum unfortunately makes it less obnoxious.

But go ahead and start an over the top thread. Might be fun.

There are numerous arguments, logical and/or emotional, on either side, but who are you rooting for to win today, San Fran or New Orleans?

Other than rooting for a meteor to hit the stadium in the 2nd quarter.

BJ Daniels from South Florida. I don't have to look it up. I live in the Mid Atlantic part of the country, so I've certainly seen a bunch of South Florida games. You know, I never was impressed with this kid. However, the two QBs most prognosticators had going to Seattle in this past draft were Matt Scott and BJ Daniels, with Scott going 3-4 round, while Daniels going around 7th round. Clearly, he was cut by SF due to them picking up John Skelton. I don't think we have another QB on the roster other than Wilson and Jackson. Hey, they liked him, so let's bring him in for a looksie. He is very much the same type of player as Kaepernick, so it baffles me why he was cut. He can move, but I don't think much of his progression reads. Much like Kaepernick. Like I said, I don't particularly like him, but we cut a scrub defensive player, so let the churn keep going.

And let's not overlook how fortunate that we, well I don't want to speak for the group, I feel that we lucked into Tarvaris Jackson as our backup this year. He's been terrific all year, in camp, in preseason, and mop up duty.

And....we was cut as Okung is activated.

Need to take of division first so I'm rooting for Saints. We can take of the Saints at the CLINK later.

Probably the correct answer. The Saints still have to play Carolina twice, so they realistically could drop a game there. With Seattle and San Fran, both teams play New Orleans and each other, otherwise the schedules for both are a breeze. If San Fran dumps this game today, they are going to have the odds against them winning the division without a lot of help.

Still, it's going to be annoying for me to see scoring changes in that SF/NO game without a clear cut rooting interest.

Seatle wins 35-10

Don't get me wrong. I'm still pulling for the meteor.

But a tie is a strong second for me.

Well, well, well.

Sunday vs the Vikings. On the surface, you would think this game presents some problems. You have the revenge win over Atlanta last week, and this is the game prior to the bye, before the back to back season changing games vs New Orleans and San Francisco. You have to question the focus. Then, you have to factor in the bad rush defense vs St Louis and Tampa Bay, before shutting down the limp running game of Atlanta last week. And here comes Adrian Peterson.

However, you have to consider that the run defense struggled while MLB Bobby Wagner was missing games and/or playing hurt. Our best D-lineman vs the rush was dealing with a concussion the past few weeks. Both are good to go today. Minnesota has major issues up and down their roster, not the least is Christian Ponder will start today with a bum shoulder. It's no secret that this season Seattle is targeting rushing the passer over run contain, but Ponder could go down by just handing the ball off. After the beat down of a disinterested Atlanta team last week, the only hope Minnesota has is fueling the revenge angle over losing Harvin and maybe Winfield to Seattle. Which isn't going to go far enough. The offense welcomes back the entire offensive starting line, for the first time since Week 2. Harvin will attract a lot of attention, giving Tate and Baldwin and Kearse and Miller plenty of single coverage.

Seattle 51

Minnesota 10

I tried to keep an open mind. Turns out, I can't help but root against the 49ers. It's not even close. I guess this really hits home how much of a hatred I have for that team.

The defense clearly is playing stop the run first, second, and third. No question. But it's leaving the secondary vulnerable, and even Richard Sherman is looking bad. It's ugly when Minnesota is dominating time of possession and total yard thus far. I haven't noticed if Harvin has even entered the game yet.

The Seahawks have run 25 plays on offense. And have 24 offensive points on the scoreboard. To call them an explosive offense....well....I'll also say that Harvin is having an impact, keeping a TD drive alive with an acrobatic catch and then a 60 yard kickoff return to set up another TD....I'm feeling no pain....

Well, a blow out win over Minnesota coupled with yet another loss, nay, a choke job by the 49ers = a pretty good day.

Oh, yeah. Not only do the Seahawks have a 3.5 game lead in the division, the Arizona Cardinals are now tied with San Fran for 2nd place in the NFC West.

Did you see the close up of dooshbag Harbaugh screaming FOCK in slow motion? Crassic! That's a huge lead and we get to take care of NO at the CLINK. Today was a good day!

As for San Fran, they have a tricky 3 game stretch with Carolina, New Orleans, and Washington. We know that Carolina has a good defense and play physical, as we survived them early. That front 7 absolutely will go to war with San Fran in the trenches. Newton is starting to come around and LaFell has become a nice compliment to Smith and Olsen in the passing game. And they can run it. Carolina is starting to come around a bit, and can give San Fran fits. New Orleans at home, no further discussion is necessary. You know, as terrible as Washington was to start the season, Griffin is picking up his play. Their defense is still not playing well, but I could see Washington hanging around in that game for a while, maybe with a chance to win at the end. They seemed pretty fired up in their win over Chicago on Sunday. That's a tough 3 game stretch where I can see 2 losses for the 49ers. It's in the realm of possibility.

If you folks thought the Seahawk fans were insufferable before, you ain't seen nothing yet. This is going to be an F5 Tornado, the finger of God, upon these boreds.

Especially considering how the site was down from December 2005 to March 2006 during the height of Seahawk hysteria, and FFT was inoperable.

Great win for the Saints. Our defense is the difference maker this year. Seatle better bring their A game or it's going to be a long evening..

Well unlike the 49ers we actually have an NFL quality QB with some heart and a coaching staff that isn't full of overrated tough guys (though Bevell does drive me crazy)

Didn't Seattle just butt fock Atlanta 33-10 about 2 weeks ago? And the Saints needed a frantic goal line stand at the end of the game at home to escape with a win over Atlanta in Week One. So, the Saints have proven they are a smidgen better than the Falcons. Good for them, I guess?

You'd think the Saints bandwagon would be approaching any road game with trepidation. I mean, the Saints will brag about their defense, yet Seattle is ranked #2. The Saints point to their offensive prowess, yet Seattle scores more points per game (#3 in the NFL). Russell Wilson has never lost a home game, and the Seahawks haven't lost at home since 2011. They know not what they ask for. All but two of Seattle's opponents this year have gone on to lose the very next game, and most of the time blown out, after getting beaten up by the Seahawks. If anything, the Saints should be worried about the tailspin they might go into after the humbling they receive from the suddenly healthy 'Hawks. Considering they play Seattle, Carolina, St Louis, and Carolina again, that's 4 tough physical defenses to smack them around, they could get so beat up, they could fall out of the playoff chase. Trust us, we survived Carolina and St Louis. They beat you up. Hey, the NFC is deep, so that tailspin can easily happen.

Really...going to bash another team's road win over a bad team.

I seem to recall just recently you all struggled to beat an even worse Tampa team...in your own stadium that you all brag so much about.
