"I have learned a lot and have had to reevaluate how I discipline my son going forward," Peterson said in the statement. "But deep in my heart I have always believed I could have been one of those kids that was lost in the streets without the discipline instilled in me by my parents and other relatives. I have always believed that the way my parents disciplined me has a great deal to do with the success I have enjoyed as a man.

This idiot seems to be mistaking "success as an athlete" for "success as a man". Knocking up 5 women with 7 kids, then having such an active role in their lives that you don't even MEET one of those kids until he is on his death bed...that doesn't really count as being a good man.

Oh man, the boos AP is gonna hear when they go on the road. Im not sure he is ready for just whats to come from the drunken fans of rival teams. Gonna be a treat to watch it unfold.

But only the whites, right? You've already established that 100% of blacks have said this is A-OK.

Yeah, it's looking more and more like Minny is going to force the league to discipline AP. Feels like they are washing their hands of the matter. And it doesn't look good for him playing on Sunday either.

Heard on radio he's being investigated for abusing another child

Vikings front office is gonna have some serious egg on their face for reinstating him and then this comes out again. Look for an indefinite suspension if this is in fact true by the NFL to save the Vikigngs face

No, rival teams boo people indescriminately, but now they have fuel for the fire and it will be crazy. But yea, the whites will be the ones spewing the most toxic venom (pretty sure most people that buy expensive tickets to football games are white anyway), the others will just be booing as they normally would.

We can all pretty much agree that AP is a terrible father. So far, if your one of his many kids your either..

A. Beaten to death by ur moms crackhead BF.

B. Beaten not to death but still pretty bad by AP himself.

C. Huh? I have a dad?

Well it sounds like the same a Michael Vick with the pitbulls. But he went to jail and there was a 2 year delay in the anger. This might be worse than that.

Yep exactly. People were upset w Vick but by the time he got out the trendy thing was to cheer for his comeback. This is just gonna be pure hatred coming his way. Sad for guy that just a week ago was loved and respected by fans across the league equally. Im a packer fan and I still love the guy!

Q.F.T. Murf as a parent I couldn't look at myself if I did that to my child. Even if they scraped themselves falling down in that manner I would still feel terrible. They're just tiny little beings and you're their whole world, I can't imagine the psychological damage it does at such a formative stage.

I have to admit I didn't grow up in a bad neighborhood and my parents didn't have the challenges as some African American parents do with their kids growing up in that environment. I do understand that discipline is an important and necessary part of parenting. I also can't speak to the problems kids in bad neighborhoods put on their parents. I do understand that paddling a child in some situation is necessary and can teach them right from wrong and being disrespectful is not appropriate. Teaching a child to become a honest upstanding adult can be challenging.

I have two kids my son is 11 and my little girl is 5. I have smacked their butt with my hand but that's as far as I would go in disciplining them but I'm lucky my kids are full of energy but very polite and so far honest. I think in a different environment like a bad neighborhood it would be harder on my wife and I.

In my opinion Adrian Peterson crossed the line for several reasons mainly the child's age (4). I'm not sure of the number of times he hit the child with the switch but I'm guessing it was more then necessary to teach him a lesson. I was talking about this at work today and an old guy around 60 years old and yes he's a white guy said he sees nothing wrong with what AP did. He said some kids these days are out of control and they need their ass beat. He said if more parents paddled their kids it would be a better country to live in. Maybe he's right. I couldn't imagine hitting my kids with a switch it seems cruel and unnecessary. Being a parent is a lot of hard work and you must be consistent with teaching them right from wrong. I think when parents go straight to paddling for discipline it is being lazy and unwilling to spend the time necessary to teach them the lesson your trying to get across. I also think spending time with your kids and having fun, doing things they like to do goes a long way in them being a better young person. Using fear as your main parenting tool shouldn't always be your #1 option.

Good Luck !

I heard 9 kids by 7 women

As the Adrian Peterson allegations of child abuse mount – the latest one is a year old, and authorities took no action – a popular question has sprung up: Just how many kids does the great Minnesota Vikings running back have?

Good luck finding a firm answer. When asked by ESPN in 2013 how many kids he had, Peterson said, “I know the truth, and I’m comfortable with that knowledge.”

Spoken like somebody who has something to hide.

After Peterson’s 2-year old son – a child he never got to meet – died in 2013, the media began asking questions about Peterson’s off-the-field life, and the results were somewhat surprising.

A dancer at a gentleman’s club in Houston told the NY Post and TMZ that Peterson had fathered seven children – it’s unclear with how many women – but he “dutifully‘ pays child support.

Peterson is 29.

Minnesota Gov wants him deactivated, Nike pulling his Jerseys, Budweiser issuing statements they are disappointed not more has been done by the NFL in regards to this situation. Writing is on the wall, he is screwed and will be suspended soon.

He didnt think it was wrong to beat his kids with a stick and obviously doesnt know how to wrap little AP up. He was taking home a damn nice weekly check but can you imagine what the child support for all those kids is :shocking:

Here is his mom trying to tell him to wear protection

Goodell can't really do anything until the trial - if guilty he gets a 6 game suspension. Only the Vikings can take action right now but cutting him or deactivating him. With all the pressure they might just cut him this week. What minny should do is have Peterson go on TV and really appologize - plead guilty and take the 6 game suspension starting last week to week 7 ......... if they want t keep him..
