Not as far as I'm concerned. How did the refs "check" the balls? Did they actually do PSI measurements or did they just feel them?

Colts balls, we have no idea what they started at. Hell maybe they were overinflated before the game. The horror! :o

Keep that head in the sand worms...

All balls checked before, at the half, and after game. I can't believe Cheatriots fans are trying to pretend like Indy never had a ball checked all game.

You guys really do need to get your head out of the sand as was just mentioned

But were all the instruments properly calibrated?

True dat

And prove that Refs were not squeezing the Colts balls to add pressure for them during measurement. 12 ball squeezers yeah yeah that's the ticket.

What were the PSI measurements before the game? What were they at halftime? Do you even know that the refs actually checked the PSI of the Colts' balls before the game and at halftime? TIA.

According to the NFL they were checked before the game, and at the half.

The NFL has no issues with the PSI of the Colt's balls.

Watching you flounder around is fun, Sport.

Peter King reading into what anonymous sources told him...you'll have to excuse me if I don't take that as proof. If it is true, then obviously the NFL has access to that info and we'll hear about it when some kind of official determination is made. And if they thought Belichick's story was easily refuted by actual evidence why wouldn't they be out there saying that already?

This is not the only article that shows all bas were measured. Where does it say anything about anonomous sources? Geeze are this much in denial? It has been reported everywhere all balls checked

Get your head out of your ass. Bills story is the weather did it. Lol but that holds no water since the colts didn't have this problem

Other teams complained of this problem in the past

Don't kid yourself

They are probably still laughing too hard at his "We rubbed the balls so hard they got hot" excuse to respond.

Read my post above moron. Just because there isn't a guy mentioned doesn't mean it's anonomous especially if it's common knowledge. What is the sources name that says Cheatriots balls were deflated? TIA cause it will most likely be the same guy who can answers your stupid question

The NFL sent the Patriots a letter saying the balls were deflated. Someone signed that letter. It came on letterhead from somewhere. Whoever got the letter could tell you.

But yet Peter King can't tell you his source. Isn't that interesting?

Also when its revealed this is all the sore losing antics of that fool coach in Baltimore, the NFL should punish him and his organization severly for putting the league, brand and most importantly the hardest working toughest most well coached team, the AFC champion patriots through this made up pile of horse schit.

A couple of draft picks, a suspension and a huge fine.

Ignorant sore losing fools.

NFL bears plenty of blame for #DeflateGate

At this point, its unclear whether the NFL will find any evidence to support the suspicion that someone from the Patriots deliberately caused footballs to lose air pressure. If the NFL fails to find a proverbial smoking gun, that alone could become a different kind of smoking gun.

Even if (and at this point it could be a big if) the league finds proof of foul play, was it really worth it? The NFL has tarnished its own shield by painting a Super Bowl participant as a cheater without clear evidence of cheating. As noted on Friday, some believe that former Commissioners (such as Paul Tagliabue) would have addressed complaints coming from teams like the Colts regarding underinflated footballs not by trying to lay a trap for the Patriots, but by letting the Patriots know that the league office is paying attention to the situation, and that if theres any funny business happening it needs to stop, now. Instead, the league office opted to try to catch the Patriots red handed.

But what has the NFL really found? As one league source has explained it to PFT, the football intercepted by Colts linebacker DQwell Jackson was roughly two pounds under the 12.5 PSI minimum. The other 10 balls that reportedly were two pounds under may have been, as the source explained it, closer to one pound below 12.5 PSI.

The NFL has yet to share specific information regarding the PSI measurements of the balls that were confiscated and measured at halftime. Which has allowed the perception of cheating to linger, fueled by the confirmation from Friday that the NFL found underinflated balls, but that the NFL still doesnt know how they came to be that way.

The goals of the investigation will be to determine the explanation for why footballs used in the game were not in compliance with the playing rules and specifically whether any noncompliance was the result of deliberate action, the league said. We have not made any judgments on these points and will not do so until we have concluded our investigation and considered all of the relevant evidence.

Regardless of how hard or easy it could be or should be to get to the truth, the NFL owes it to the Patriots and the league to get there, quickly. Instead, the premier American sporting event apparently will be played under a dark cloud, and anything other than an eventual finding of cheating will seem anticlimactic and contrived. Even if the conclusion is regarded as legitimate, it wont undo the damage that the Patriots and the NFL will have suffered during this bizarre period of pending allegations that have not yet been proven.

So at a time when the league office is still reeling from an insufficient investigation in the Ray Rice case, the league office now faces even more criticism for a clumsy sting operation that possibly will end up being a swing and a miss. Surely, much of that criticism will be directed privately at the league office from the Patriots.

Complicating matters for the NFL is that the bat initially was swung by Mike Kensil, a former employee of the Jets with a reputation among the Patriots for being an agitator. (Kensils father, Jim, served as president of the Jets for 10 years from the late 1970s to the late 1980s.) And so on the same day that the tampering charges filed by the Patriots against the Jets over Darrelle Revis became the latest chapter in a longstanding feud between the franchises, the tentacles of acrimony between the two franchises found a way to erupt into a brouhaha unlike many the NFL ever has seen.

The NFL never should have let this specific situation get to that point. Even if the league deemed it proper to lay a trap, they should have realized the challenges of actually making a trap work. In this case, it appears that they didnt.

Lmfao they could have played with a beach ball and they would have won. This is a joke of a matter. Why does it matter how much air is in a ball? I've played basketball a million times with a flat ball and a super pumped up ball and guess what at the end of the day if I'm better then the guy I'm playing I'm gonna win period.

Yeah?

They apparently played with saggy balls against BAL as well, and had to come back in the last minute of that one. Think it would have been a more impactful variable there, maybe?

Oh and an opinion article from 2009 Bleacher Report...when it was basically just a blog (and an article probably written by a fanboy like you...though, one who can actually convey a point without just calling everyone else whiners and jealous)
