So Pats getting caught under-inflating balls with proof=not a big deal, every team does it.

Rodgers talks about it, with no proof or numbers suddenly=Rodgers is a cheater punish him!

You're even dumber than I thought if that's your takeaway

nice opinion piece

What makes that opinion?

Fact : Other teams reported cheating

Fact: NFL did nothing before game

Fact; NFL proved during first half Cheatriots deflated their footballs while the Colts did not (eliminating the bogus temperature excuse)

Fact: during second half after Cheatriots got busted no footballs magically deflated. (Weird eh?)

Fact: NFL let them dig their grave and they lied in it

Opinion?

People never care for the truth, we wants to hear what we want to hear.

Everyone feels like the underdog. People are scared, ignorant and without purpose in life. Few Americans can relate to the winning and dominate Pats. In addition, news outlet is nothing more than glorified tabloid now of day.

End result, in most people's eye, Pats = cheaters because it makes people feel good about themselves.

At the end, this is a none story just like cute puppy, bad tattoo, and celebrity photo bomb on your Facebook. We can't turn away, we have to click on it!!!!

Irony.

You know, Challenger, some of us can segregate in our mind admiration for a winning franchise - one more successful than other NFL teams over the past 13 years - and still acknowledge and scorn the lack of character emanating from within that franchise; a nearly pathological need to 'put one over' - in yet another manner - on the NFL.

It clearly isn't good enough for the powers that be in the Patriots organization to have succeeded at a higher level than other teams over the past while. They need to do more; to push the permissible into the impermissible. Why?

The same reason that wealthy people steal from department stores. For the thrill; for the edge; because they think they can.

Even if they can't.

Not that I've heard, but that's certainly also logical.

Because we know Brady likes soft balls, we really have to consider this sort of corruption systemic, starting with hiring Belicheck in the first place. If he was known to be of questionable scruples (as a Giants fan claimed as reasoning for why NYG management didn't hire BB) - and was caught being less than squeaky clean in Spygate, his whole team will react likewise.

Just like a coach who coaches tight causes players to play tight, a coach who coaches immorally will have staff and players act immorally.

Simple. It's a breakdown that is easy to predict, and evident throughout society; not just in the NFL.

 what a bunch of hypocritical horse schit.

Have you accepted that rogers has admitted to doing the same thing yet ? Until you do you really have no credibility at all.

You're a smart guy but you're letting your preconceived biases think for you. Over and you slowly expose this hate/bias for Bellichick, Brady and the pats. Step outside of that for a few and look at the situation.

Maybe you guys could go with the bill clinton definition of "is" defense with the "if"

I am. It is fun to watch you attack another QB over ball inflation issues.

Can you say hypocrisy? (I knew you could).

I've said Brady should be suspended for the game if its found he had anything to do with it. Same with belichick or whomever was involved.

It doesn't change the fact that Rogers has admitted to doing it.

And nobody thinks its a problem.

All facts, if you can dispute them do so.

If not, inflate this.

FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots players union representative Matthew Slater said Saturday that the NFLPA has advised players not to speak on the NFL's ongoing investigation regarding underinflated footballs.

"We've been instructed by our union, as players, to reserve comment on this situation," Slater said when asked what the NFL could do to avoid a similar situation in the future. "It's an ongoing investigation, and in order to protect our players, we're going to go ahead and not talk about it."

Slater, a seven-year veteran and Patriots captain, said that internally the team has "addressed it and moved on."

Linebacker Dont'a Hightower said he's not concerned that a potential victory in Super Bowl XLIX would come with any type of asterisk.

"It is what it is. At the end of the day, we can't control any allegations or whatever," he said. "All we can do is go out and play ball. Our goal is to go out and win."

We all understand how you have to ignore the facts in evidence to continue to claim that, yes - which renders pretty much anything you say on the topic completely moot.

And that stance remains without even having to consider the difference in perceptions between an inflated ball, and one which is deflated (hint: it's the deflated ball which is supposed to render the fumbling advantage; not the reverse).

You're a smart guy but you're letting your preconceived biases think for you.

Pushing the limit - and doing so prior to inspection - is not comparable to exceeding the limit, and doing so after the inspection has taken place.

And pushing the limit on the over-inflation side is not comparable to breaking the rules on the low side, in both low-pressure and tampering post-inspection.

It doesn't matter if the pats out scored them 100-0 in the second half. The fact is the pats balls were under inflated while the colts were not. Sorry but tht doesn't just happen.

I liked the part where he said we filmed a guy giving who was giving signs in front of 80,000 people!!!!

On way home was listening to ESPN radio and host asked people if they would want their team to win a Super Bowl if it was found they cheated. About half said no they wouldn't. HORSE SHI!T So that made me want to ask the question, when is cheating...cheating ? I'd be willing to bet every team cheats in some form wether it is deflating, over inflating the ball or just adding more stick em on gloves but some form goes on by every team. Maybe like not listing Manning's thigh injury on the injury report.

While waiting to listen to press conference today weei was covering Red Sox event and they asked Joe Kelly what % of pitchers he thinks use some type of "illegal" substance on mound to get better grip? He said 95%

I would have agreed with you, but since I just watched all the Pats fans all over Rodgers, it's awfully hard to respect that claim when Pats fans themselves show they don't actually respect it.

I've been saying this. Professional sports teams in general ALL do or have done or are looking for some way to cheat the system. This is an actual fact. Whether it be PEDs, adding a little something to their gloves to catch the ball easier, using the bare minimum amount of air in footballs knowing that once they are outside the psi in them will drop below minimum requirements.

Huh? the rule is not that the ball has to be above 12.5 the whole game. Good god, some of you aren't very bright.

Lol bro grab a rule book. The balls are supposed to be between 13.5 and 12.5 psi at the begining of the game. Therefore they can be 12.5 psi at the begining of the game and through play they can dip below that. Geez and you say other people aren't bright

drobeski still trying to compare to Rodgers...so great that he does not see how dumb he looks in doing that.

And others are really trying to compare the two?

Oof...

What have we learned from all this?

-a lot of people hate the Patriots

-a lot of people hate Belichick

-a lot of people are jealous of their suscess

-Peter King(just my theory after reading his tweets and other writings) and or the Ravens notified the league to try and bury Belichick and the Patriots.

-QBs throughout the league are going to be pissed now because the league will inspect their balls with microscope

-Troy Aikmen really should have retired a few concussions earlier. Anyone who thinks using balls that had little less air than supposed to is worse then paying players to hurt other players needs to never again be in booth for another football game.

-Mark Brunell will never be Tom Brady's friend. Literally crying because you call Brady a liar? Really guy?

OK that's it for now

his quote is all I need, over and if ...two simple words. Turns out its irrelevant anyway.

Pats haven't done anything illegal, unless getting a bunch of sore losers riled up is against NFL policy.

Bill know they are clean and eventually the NFL will admit it.

I'm looking forward to a great super bowl with the two best in the league battling.

Has Rodgers ever been investigated for tampering with balls after they were inspected or even accused of it?

Nope...so the comparison is idiotic.

Its a small issue and stupid. But the denial by guys like you is hilarious.
