NFL: 11 of 12 Pat's balls under inflated.

Recommended Posts

I have an idea on how the Patriots do this. They make sure that a guage that reads high is used to check them. Refs check, see 12.5 on the guage and approve them. The guage reads 1.5 high, and they are actually 11. Just a possiblity, who knows.

now we wait to hear from Walt Coleman.

Surely he was the first person the NFL talked to like three days ago. I would think, but who knows, the NFL already has talked to him and if he says they were never inspected then I doubt this would still be a thing.

Weather conditions? Specifically atmospheric pressure?

What weather conditions would cause over 90% of the Cheatriots balls to lose air, but leave 100% of the Colts balls legal?

if 10 start at 12.5 and 10 start at 13.5 and 12.5 is the lowest allowed

you're the dumbest person on this board

what kind of are do you put in your balls?

Ok, I appreciate the link. However I don't think it says the Colts' balls were inspected at halftime, right?

The Cheatriots balls were 2psi under legal air pressure.

13.5-2=11.5=ILLEGAL.

You are welcome, Dumbfukk.

Not "officially confirmed" but an official stated:

Both teams' balls were brought in at halftime, to my understanding, and all 24 balls were checked. The Colts' balls were still up to 13 pounds and the Patriots' balls were not.''

They were checked at halftime.

were they checked before that?

We all know they were checked at halftime.

We need to know if they were checked after the patriots handed them in and before half time.

if not, then sorry. nothing can be done. If yes, then focked.

Take a break edjr, you're all over the place. That quote was to show that by all accounts ALL 24 balls, both Colts and Pats were checked at halftime. Which throws out some "atmospheric pressure" excuse.

Obviously the "Official" statement has not yet been given by the NFL. However based on all accounts so far it seems that.

A. All 24 balls were checked 2 hours before game time by Walt, the official. All 24 passed inspection and were given back to the teams.

B. All 24 balls were re-checked at halftime and 11 of the 12 Pats balls failed, and all 12 of the Colts balls passed.

So until more information comes out contrary, it seems something happened to those 11 Patriot footballs between two hours before kickoff and halftime.

So who the fock ordered the CODE RED!@#!

No one cares they were checked at halftime. HTH. We know that to be fact, as far as I care.

let me type this in large for you.

WERE THEY CHECKED AFTER THE PATRIOTS HANDED THEM IN (BEFORE THE GAME) THEN GIVEN BACK TO THEM FOR PLAY?

Ummm, IGW's cared to know if the Colts balls were also checked at halftime and asked. So I answered his question. Read the focking thread. Maybe if you weren't reading two threads on the same topic at once you could keep up. :dunno:

And yes, per league sources and per all reports, the balls were properly inspected prior to the game.

It's a fluid situation edjr, maybe things change and what was previously reported turn out wrong, but based on what is reported today...... Somebody/Something deflated the balls between 2 hours before gametime and halftime. And Brady and Belichick deny knowing anything.

Are we going with a Conspiracy Theory? The NFL is out to get the Patriots and everybody is in on it?

Because maybe something caused all the balls to lose inflation?

League sources have confirmed that the footballs were properly inspected and approved by referee Walt Anderson 2 hours and 15 minutes before kickoff, before they were returned to each team.

ESPN Sports Radio 810 in Kansas City reported that the Patriots' footballs were tested at the half, reinflated at that time when they were found to be low, then put back in play for the second half, and then tested again after the game. The report did not reveal the results of the test following the game.

All of the balls the Colts used met standards, according to the report.

And I think you're reading into shoddy stories based on anonymous sources to confirm what you already believe to be true :dunno:

Like KSB said, it's a fluid situation. I would not be surprised if down the road it turns out that several "facts" that have been reported were not true or were incomplete

And the 12th ball was shady too....

The NFL has determined that 11 of the 12 footballs allocated to the New England Patriots in Sunday's AFC Championship Game were under-inflated by two pounds of air (PSI), reports Chris Mortensen of ESPN. The NFL reportedly did not add comment and the Patriots will cooperate with the investigation.

Former NFL referee Gerry Austin told ESPN on Wednesday that the 12th ball was also under-inflated, just not by two PSI.

Patriots leave nothing to chance.

It could.

And while I think this is sort of being overblown at this point, it's become kinda fun. It's like a murder mystery "Who Done It?" I'm going with the Butler in the Kitchen with an envelope opener.

Every fact that has been reported would have to be 100% wrong for the Cheatriots to be clean, Al Roker.

Atmospheric conditions! :overhead:

As somebody pointed out on the mange bored, air temp difference inside the ball affects pressure. With the outside temp at 51 degrees, if air was injected at 149 degrees just before the measurement, that would cause a 2 PSI difference (presuming ball volume is the same which is probably close to true).

That is certainly one explanation as to how they cheated.
