In oral arguments they were using Maine as an example. Apparently in 2009 the state voted to prohibit same sex marriage. Then three years later they voted to legalize it. Then three years later they voted to legalize it. There was a ban voted into law here in Ohio in 2004. A lot of people I know voted for it. It was extremely discouraging to see people who I admired afraid of what gays would do to the concept of marriage. Two thirds of voters approved of the ban. Not having to deal with annoying women who think they have to get married and have kids or their life is not justified. Thanks to advertising and things like sitcoms of course. A piece of paper, an overly expensive ring and a life wrecking poop machine are not requirements for a happy life. Simply love eachother and go visit your sisters kids and have fun with them then go home when they start screaming or pooping. Bingo, you get the best of both worlds.
