Active Shooter At Naval Station

Well, that blows. How can I create a well regulated militia without a bazooka or two?

A shitload of booze and Ian zierling should do the trick.

Bazookas and flame throwers are outlawed.

where's the outrage by the gun whackos? Flame throwers don't kill people. People do.

There isn't any outrage because gun rights supporters aren't focking retarded. HTH

but, but, but it's not the weapon. Right? It's the person. If you make flamethrowers illegal, only criminals will have flamethrower words

Yes, they are.

No, they aren't. Hence the lack of outrage over not being able to own bazooka and flamethrowers. See, we do understand the need for sensible gun laws. No bazookas or flamethrowers makes sense.

You just have no freaking Idea what "sensible" means.

Ooh, wicked burn. ::roll eyes:

Dude, I was just in a psycho gun store with my psycho gun nut brother. This was about 45 minutes outside Chattanooga where the shooting occurred the day before.

Some things I saw that should no way in focking he'll be legal...

.50 cal rifles, complete with tripods and high end optics. You don't hunt with this. You don't defend with this. This is for taking out vehicles and whatnot from very far away.

Sniper rifles. No legitimate purpose here.

Uzi type guns. I'm sure they weren't automatic, but I know they can be made so very easily.

Silencers for all types of guns, including shotguns.

Ceramic/plastic knives. I assume to get through metal detectors.

Enough gunpowder to blow up a decent sized building.

Assault rifles out the ass. And before I hear a bunch of crap about "what is an assault rifle" I'm defining that as something capable of accurately delivering a high volume of bullets at long range. There is no legitimate purpose for a gun that can do that except kill people.

So any psycho who wants to could go into this place and buy whatever he needs to wipe out an elementary school. Hell, a group of psychos could buy what they need to march on Nashville and take the Capitol over.

It's focking insane. Find a new hobby, one that isn't focking lethal.

You're entitled to your opinion. I could explain to you why I think you're wrong but it will fall on deaf ears (or blind eyes in this case). You are as incapable of being reasonable as you accuse the other side of being when it comes to gun control. Because you see no benefit from gun ownership, nobody should be allowed to own them and anybody who does is a focking psycho. That is the epitome of unreasonable.

I think there is too much of a risk of accidental structural damage with these. No matter how careful someone was, I think the risk is too great of something unplanned happening. I guess sort of like TNT, dynatmite or even M80s.

I have a lot of guns and I defend the right to bear arms.

Some street nig or Muslim has one gun, and kills a few people for whatever reason. But he doesnt care of think about gun rights or the right to bear arms...etc.

Who is the "gun whacko". ???

Hint...the guys who support gun rights...aren't the whackos...YET...they are the ones " targeted" by the anti gunners. They are also the ones defending gun rights. Why do the anti gunners not track down those that fit the true definition of gun whacko, and debate them? Where are they during the debates ?

How come you never see debates between some nig with a grill or a Muslim vs an anti gun group

How come you never see nigs or skinnies hunting geese, deer or pheasants on a hunting show?

Only those that can think on their own will understand those last two comments.

Tell me why any non psycho needs a .50 cal rifle that can take out a car from long distances?

Or an Uzi?

Or an AR15 with a silencer and a scope that you can spray bullets a quarter mile?

You want a gun to hunt? Ok. For protection? Ok.

Military grade weapons that can take out lots of people and are useless for any legitimate purpose? Psycho.

You only say that because they're already illegal. If they weren't and people were trying to outlaw them, you and the NRA would defend the right to own 'em.

Just like you defend sniper rifles, semi-auto assault rifles (quiet Sux), extended magazines with 60+ rounds, and all the other unnecessary stuff Titans was talking about in that gun store.

When was the last time weapons like that were used in mass killings of innocents? Those types of weapons are expensive and the psychos aren't going to spend that kind of money on a gun. They will either buy an illegal one or a cheap one that can still do damage. Guys who buy .50 cals do so and are responsible with them.

I don't give a fock.

When was the last time a cruise missile or anthrax was used for a mass killing of innocents? Doesn't mean I should be able to buy one on Craigslist.

6 in one buddy. Personally, I don't have one and haven't ever shot one. Would like to cause I'm sure it's cool. People aren't using them to kill others over here so I see no problem with it.

I'm not a hunter. When it comes to wildlife, I'd rather shoot it with my camera than a gun. Having said that, if I were out hunting in "bear country" I wouldn't want anything smaller than a .50 cal for fear of angering the bear by shooting it with a smaller caliber and not killing it. There are people who hunt big game that warrants using a larger caliber.

Uzi's are crap.

AR's, besides being fun to shoot, are useful for a variety of purposes. They are often used as "varmint guns" and used to eradicate coyotes and other nuisance predators from farms and ranches. You aren't going to walk up on a pack of coyotes so you can shoot them with iron sites. A scope allows you to get shots on them from a safer distance. Guns are loud. A suppressor mitigates that aspect. Not sure what the problem is there.

Military grade weapons are illegal for civilian ownership. Nobody goes to war with an AR.

I would never strap a firebomb to my back, even if it were legal.

Most large caliber hunting rifles could be construed as "sniper rifles", so yes, I defend them like I do semi-auto sporting rifles. Extended magazines malfunction at a much greater rate than standard 30 round mags. I wouldn't use them.

Nope not at all. As long as their are humans they will use whatever weapon they can to kill someone. Same thing happened with swords and bows.

Sure, as is 5.56 but we don't send our guys into battle with nothing but semi auto AR's.

Notice I said "military grade weapons" and not "military grade calibers".

Regarding sniper rifles you said "People aren't using them to kill others over here so I see no problem with it". Yet when it comes to weapons that actually do kill people, you don't have a problem with those either. You need to get your argument straight.

If Bazookas were legal, we'd be able to take out suicide bomb cars before they ram buildings and it's progressives fault. It's only a matter of time.

The potential for catastrophic damage if someone negligently discharged a rocket launcher would probably persuade me to accept the fact that most people should not have access to them.

Bottom line - as long as the US has liberal gun laws, the US will continue to lead all first world countries in mass-shootings, gun violence, and gun crime, not to mention gun accidents. Considering America's love for guns and tolerance of violence, I predict we've got another 100+ years of carnage to look forward to thanks the NRA and gun right supporters.

Just pray it doesn't effect anyone you care about... (and wish the only people it does effect are gun supporters, since they essentially did it to themselves).

I'll let a couple of our more left leaning posters respond.

yeah, cause that doesn't start the slippery slope.

You know as well as I do that those bills are designed to restrict access to abortions guns as much as possible with the eventual aim of doing away with it altogether. They are disingenuous measures so, no, I really don't blame the pro-choice gun lobby for fighting them tooth and nail

I don't need to get my argument straight because there's no argument to be made. The fact is humans will always use the best weapon at their disposal to kill someone. In the early days it was swords, knives, and bows. Now it's guns. However it's only the cheaper models that are affordable that people use. They can't afford all the big high tech stuff because it's too expensive. Same with bombs. Now they can make a homemade one which they still do. They can also purchase a gun illegally. The fault isn't with the hardware it's with the operator.

Well, we should just make the cheap ones expensive as Fock too. Problem solved.

I come in to read this thread and all I see are people condemning guns (and pro-gun lobby) and talking about how religion is the cause of all of life's ills. The Geek Club never disappoints.

By the way, when you call them "conservitards" and "libtards", you lose any credibility you may have had.
