hoytdwow 202 Posted September 11, 2015 Well, if you knew for a fact that the headsets would be turned off, you would prepare mor thoroughly for it and hence gain an advantage. Just sayin. focksticks, The NFL took responsibility for the breakdown, saying it controls communications equipment, including headsets, for both teams. Sho Nuff 720 Posted September 11, 2015 Lol sure we are. The ones whining about a headset and claiming that NE cheated during the game isn't whining. But yet when I laugh at the people whining and tell them to get over it I'm the thin skinned one. enjoy your day Almost everyone here has said it was on the NFL and not why Pitt lost. So yes, it is the thin skinned pats fans again crying.
tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 11, 2015 I love how theres always a convenient catch all like "the nfl controls the headsets". But then why is the smoke always coming from patriots camp? why is every coincidence and happenstance linked to them and never a shred or whiff of controversy from any other team? RLLD 4,275 Posted September 11, 2015 focksticks, Link Seriously, get focking lives The NFL released a statement Friday morning saying the league will review the incident. "The coaches' communications equipment, including the headsets, is provided by the NFL for both clubs' use on game day," the NFL said. "The home team is responsible for the installation and maintenance of that equipment. Every team's game day communications personnel are required to work with the NFL communications consultants to ensure wireless equipment is free and clear of interference and address any problems. Technological and stadium infrastructure issues of this type happen at many stadiums around the league and whenever there are issues of this nature, we do a thorough review." http://www.cnn.com/2015/09/11/us/pittsburgh-steelers-headset-issues/
tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 11, 2015 All I know is that for every "gate" thats a SB stricken from the record in the eyes of everyone outside Pats fandom. They are down to like -1 SB now after 5 gates or something. Its ridiculous.

tanatastic 2,062 Posted September 11, 2015 What part of "the NFL took responsibility for the breakdown" do you people not understand? Of course they did. They dont need or want more scandal. Next week they will say that the nfl was responsible for mixing the gatorade that was found to be laced with downers. Week after that the NFL will claim they installed the faulty mirrors and recording devices in opposing lockerrooms for a concert.
hoytdwow 202 Posted September 11, 2015 Because they've taken responsibility for the other "cheating" incidents, right? Seriously you need to get a life

Djgb13 2,339 Posted September 12, 2015 Aren't you from South Carolina or something? How did you end up a Pats fan? My aunts husband (my uncle just wanted to clarify he's not related by blood) is from Boston. They used to babysit me when I was younger so I spent a lot of time with him and he got me into liking all Boston teams

mighty_thor 115 Posted September 12, 2015 The Steelers may have been irate about malfunctioning headsets during the first half of Thursday's season opener against the Patriots in Gillette Stadium, but the team chose not to file a complaint with the NFL. Good thing too, since the league cleared the Patriots of any wrongdoing on Friday. Despite the never-ender speculation surrounding the Pats' perceived organizational philosophy of skirting the rules, not only did they do nothing wrong in Headsetgate (that the league is responsible for providing and maintaining the headsets might have something to do with that), the problem isn't unique to Gillette Stadium. "It's a league problem. It's wherever," Panthers coach Ron Rivera said, via PFT. "It will go out right in the middle and not just here or in New England or in San Francisco, but it could go out in a critical time." Other coaches also weighed in on the phenomenon. Cowboys coach Jason Garrett: "That's certainly been a part of having to deal with game-day situations, throughout my career as a player and a coach." Speaking of the Cowboys, here's Texans coach Bill O'Brien: "It happened in Dallas, it happens here, it happens wherever I've been." Eagles coach Chip Kelly: "I've heard a lot of things on the headsets, I think there's a lot of frequency issues some places. I've heard air traffic control and a lot of different things." First-year Jets coach Todd Bowles: "It's happened a bunch of other places. There have been times when the headsets have gone out, it wasn't New England, I can't remember the places we've had it, but we've had some of those headset problems." So yes, while the Patriots have been heavily scrutinized for everything from Spygate to Deflategate to garden-variety gamesmanship, nonworking headsets are a league-wide problem. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/25298968/nfl-coaches-malfunctioning-headsets-arent-unique-to-new-england

They lost two draft picks because of it. Get used to hearing accusations like this. The Pats are chronic cheaters. They have no one to blame but themselves. No different than a guy who's been caught cheating on his wife multiple times. Yeah, she's going to be keeping a real close eye on him. And may even make some accusations that are wrong. Oh well.
