Democratic debate

Recommended Posts

I don't buy into anything spike lee says. Besides, he's had exactly 1 good movie. And one so-so(Summer of Sam)

Do the Right Thing and 25th Hour were great. And I think Summer of Sam was much better than so so.

Not all republicans are racist. But most racists are republicans.

Most democrats have the soft bigotry of low expectations. Sure they sit around cafes in poetry slams discussing how awesome African Americans are, but in reality they don't think that AAs can succeed without a lot of handouts. Which is why democrats are so eager to take other people's money and give it to them. Progress$#@!

Nailed it.

True racism is believing an entire race can't succeed without your compassionate process of redistributing other's income.

Furthermore, after the money is filtered through the bureaucracy, there is just enough left to keep the takers living the impoverished lives they have grown accustomed to.

And round the wheel goes.

Some Democrats do think like that. Most don't.

Summer of Sam could have been great in the hands of a real director. 3 movies out of the many he's made isn't very good. He's lost a lot of money for his investors. Clockers had its moments.

I've never thought any of that. My whole thing with government assistance is based purely on a belief (more so a set of core values), that we as humans share a moral responsibility to care for one another. Black, white, old, young, etc. etc. This is especially true for me, when we're talking about children and the elderly.

Summer of Sam is the only movie I've ever walked out of the theater in the middle of. Not saying it's the worst movie I've ever seen. Just the worst movie I've ever seen in a theater.

I walked out of a Cheech and Chong movie. But not by choice. My friend's mom yanked us. I remember the last line of the movie that triggered her. It was a joke by Cheech. "Why do cowboys have sh*t on their mustaches?" "They've been looking for love in all the wrong places."

I never did see that again later. I don't even know which of their movies it is.

Their movies are all equally retarded so it doesn't matter.

I think Democrats align to the poor more so than an ethnicity, this does garner them support in the AA community since this nation essentially banned them from equal access to opportunity until the 1970's, thus they continue to have economic struggle. I think limiting the scope of their behavior to AA's is too simplistic. They know that there are far more votes out there from the less successful economic groups than the wealthy.

But the poor votes only count on Election Day.

And maybe not even then, if the anti-democracy crowd gets their way with much stricter voting laws

Left, to right,

Webb was cantankerous and all over the place. In his defense, the moderators ignored him, and that was unfair. But he had two awful crazy old man type moments that ruined his campaign: the China! moment, and the I killed some dude in Nam moment. He'll drop out soon.

Bernie was pretty good, I thought, and I think people are being too hard on his performance. He is going to have to go after Hillary at some point, and he missed great opportunities at this debate. He's right about a lot of stuff, but wrong on a lot, too. The free college for everyone idea is cracked.

Hillary was good, and I agree she won, but the victory simply means she's raised her phoniness to Mitt Romney levels.

O'Malley is well put together, but he looked like his head was going to 'splode a few times, and like Bernie, has to go after Hillary to be relevant.

Chaffee was a non-entity and will drop out soon.

Predictored@!!!

Webb and Chafee had no chance and weren't gaining traction. It's too bad as either would make a fine president. I like Chafee a lot but that answer where he explained his vote as he was new and wasn't really paying much attention to the vote... horrible answer.

Worst answer ever. Seems like a nice guy and a moderate, but it was never going to happen

Without Webb or Chafee, the Dems are now officially without any candidates that I like; meanwhile the ones I like in the GOP are polling around 3% or less. Preparing for four years of suckage.

Says quite a bit about the party that these guys couldn't even stick around long enough to be involved in the primary process.

The GOP is the same way. Donors are extremists and moderates aren't welcome in either party. Presidential nominations are dominated by the fringe liberal or conservatives in their respective parties and the rest of us have to figure out which turd smells less disgusting.

One of the biggest misconceptions out there is that either of the Clintons are hard left liberals. They may be on gay rights( who isn't now) and other social issues, but they haven't governed that way. They love them some Wall Street money too. And Bill was tougher on crime than anyone since Teddy Roosevelt. Too bad they are running away from that now.

Hillary Clinton, Bush and Rubio are essentially the same candidate, much as Bush and Gore were.

Rather they have a circus and 15 candidates?

There are 2 that have a shot, would have been 3 if Biden would have run. What's the point in sticking around?

But his presence is important. He keeps the debate about issues. Not e-mails and religion and blow jobs from the past.

Agreed, but he is not a viable threat to Clinton. She may as well be running unopposed.

They are just puppets on stage so the media can lie and say there was a thorough vetting and challenge to hillary and she is battle tested to get punked by Trump in the general debates.

The media didn't do her any favors last time. I think there just no credible threat to her so the DNC has decided it's her "turn." Nobody else is going to waste million$ and months of time campaigning against her.

I am not so sure Trump gets the nomination but I seriously hope he does. I will be voting Trump early and often in next year's PA primary.

We saw what moderates look like in Webb and Chafee. That's not her. She only looks moderate compared to Sanders and O'Malley. And that's only style not substance.

No doubts about Bill. I've.warmed to him much over the years. Hillary is well to his left though and I don't see in her the commitment to fiscal responsibility I saw in Bill (W and Obummer have been disastrous in this). She sure has a left liberal's shopping list of programs needing to be paid for. Her foreign policy is supposed to be her strength, I think is dubious. If she wants to break with the left, this is a bad issue to do it with. Sanders is much better. And I'm not going to go with being entrenched with big donors and special interests as anything but a negative.

She has nothing but contempt for Republicans. Judging by their clown efforts to impeach her husband and the Benghazi "scandal" maybe I don't blame her. But not all Clinton scandals are so laughably phony. She's ready to govern by executive order from day one and I'd really hope we'd get a honeymoon from that and an effort at bipartisanship. She's already fed up and I can't say I blame her but some of it really is her fault.

There are some Republicans that would force me to vote for her over, some I would gladly vote for against her, some are really hard to tell right now. It all needs to play out.

Other than gotcha soundbites...she will destroy Trump in a debate.

She is too seasoned.

He will get his quips in that his mindless base eat up...but on any actual issue, she will own him.

And I don't like her at all...thats just how it will actually go.

I'm riding the Sanders train 'til it's officially derailed.

Just like I did the Howard Dean train 12 years ago :(
