Democratic debate

Recommended Posts

NCIS rated higher, thought that said a lot..

Hats off to the people who can get excited about Bernie, I was actually embarrassed for him every time he opened his mouth.

I liked Webb but, he has no shot in that party.

Needless to say, our options aren't great come November '16.

Read a story that said after Bernie Sanders said enough about the emails and Hillary, the media room erupted in cheering and clapping. No media bias there.

Screw being a world leader. We need someone that can lower the debt without causing economic slowdown.

You can't. It's like saying you want to take a bunch of helium out of the balloon and not have it fall

The debate was so depressing I had to stop after 30 mins. The GOP debate at least has the clown car / freak show factor to keep you entertained. This one has Her Majesty, a cranky old liberal and a bunch of milquetoasts.

In a field with only 5 candidates I don't know why nobody on that stage went hard after Hillary. She is strongly perceived as the inevitable candidate and they let her stand there and play that role all night.

Just awful.

Because everyone on that stage is auditioning for a cabinet appointment. Maybe not sanders but certainly the rest of them

its sad how down the dems are tis year compared to Trumps sideshow. I love it.

Maybe if they could get Charlie Sheen to run, the ratings would be better. The Dems need someone more ridiculous than Trump. Reality television viewers love a train wreck.

Reality TV viewers aren't the ones showing up to his campaign rallies. Pissed of Americans who are unhappy with the progressive emperor arsehole we have now are.

Yet...you support Trump...as do the mouthbreathing idiots who buy into his crap rhetoric forgetting that his ideas will cost trillions and bring us down internationally.

Anyone supporting that clown has zero room the criticize the other side right now.

My issue with the debates is that it helps the candidates that are quick witted and good speakers. Just because someone is a good speaker does not mean they are a good leader or make good decisions.

Very true... Don't have to look any further than our current President...

Yet...those same ones pissed off voted twice for the previous guy who was worse. And they are just pissed now because the guy in office is a democrat.

History will show Obama being not nearly as bad as you claim. Not great...but by far not the worst.

But you won't ever see that...too blinded by the right.

or the previous...how many times did we hear he was plain spoken and sounded like a regular guy you'd want to get a beer with.

Hell yes Obama was pushed forth after a great speech at the Dem convention 4 years before he won.

We are easily fooled when people talk a certain way to get our attention.

So how come Bernie's age is never brought up as a reason to not vote for him?

I don't think I have ever heard it brought up...

Ive heard it brought up constantly.

What are you talking about?

And he is 5 years older than Trump...Hillary not far behind at 67 either.

Interesting, I haven't heard it much...

He is older now one year away from the election than McCain was when he was running, yet the media was always mentioning how old McCain was... Is it because Bernie doesn't have the ® so it doesn't matter now?

They're pissed off because they are the ones paying the bills while a third of the country gets to sit on their collective ass's and sell their vote to a party who have good intentions but terrible outcomes.

Black Baby Jesus promised us many things before he was elected. The two that were the most important to me were taxes and health insurance. He promised the middle class's wouldn't go up and that health care cost will drop. I pay close to twice as much for both since he was elected. I pay more for food and clothing. I pay more for just about everything but gas. And I'm pissed. Just like a lot of Americans that knew BLBJ wasn't right.

Didn't you bring it up constantly in the debate thread at FBG?

Ive heard it often talked about quite a bit...google shows quite a few stories on it even from the likes of CNN.

Seems mentioned as much now as it was then. Didn't think it was much of a concern with McCain (other than when he picked Palin).

Also probably the difference in coverage for an actual candidate for the party once he is nominated vs at this stage...and your own bias playing a role here.

It's not just the current President, moron. It's politics in general. So they think that if they vote for a 'non-political' guy who just blurts out every retarded thought that crosses his mind, they are giving the middle finger to career politicians. I get it. I get it. But unfortunately, unintelligent idiots get to vote in this country and it makes no difference if the guy they're supporting happens to be a jackass. I'd love to see a candidate run who isn't beholden to businesses and groups with money. As long as the guy is smarter than Drobeski. There's a saying about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Electing Trump would be an international nightmare, the likes this country has never seen in 240 years. But that's ok, the voters had their say and theiy're fed up with the system.

This is correct. McCain's age became a huge issue once it was realized that Palin was a heartbeat away from being the President.

Who said I can't find a job? I do a few from home and have had offers to come back to work. I turned those offers down.

Nice try gramps.

But the old focker living off his wife's pension and uncle same is calling someone else entitled and lazy is always a hoot.

1. Yet, you defend him and bash every democrat. Sure, you may not support him, you will support anyone the GOP puts forward and everyone knows it.

2. You don't work, you have already made that clear in the past. Why do you lie now?

Deadbeat? Funny stuff coming from you.

Far better debate moderated and participated in by sane participants.

Hilary was the winner, but when I voted for the winner on the Drudge poll, I voted for Bernie. Then when I checked the "view result" button, I found out I wasn't alone. I think Drudge took down the results, but it was something like 56% Bernie and 25% Webb with the rest splitting single digits.

Nobody trust Hillary.

So true! That was the biggest thing I noticed as well. Regardless of the positions you do or do not support, the dems acted like adults in their debate, and reps acted like spastic 10 year old children in theirs. It's a sad state of affairs for conservative voters.

I also think It's funny how the media (both sides) and right attack him for being a "socialist" but he's actually one of the few sane people in Washington. They media even goes as far as to ignore the polling that clearly says Bernie won, and then completely lie about who won the debate!

  • Voted against NAFTA/CAFTA/TPP, which lead to all of our middle class manufacturing jobs being shipped out.
  • Voted against the Patriot Act, which is the single biggest attack on our privacy in history.
  • Voted against the war in Iraq and would quit wasting tax payer money in the middle east. Saving us hundreds of billions of dollars.
  • Against Citizens United, which is undermining the very fabric of our election process and democracy itself.
  • Supports breaking up the banks, which are making record profits, after being bailed out by us taxpayers.

But Bernie is the boogie man, because he wants tax revenue spent on affordable education for our kids, healthcare, clean energy and rebuilding America's crumbling infrastructure. We can't have that! We need to spend money fighting unwinnable wars on the other side of the planet, and giving tax breaks to billionaires and mega corporations!

Wrong. His age was an issue from day one. The Palin theory sure does sound good though. Here's an article from May 9, 2008. This is one of thousands from the MSM. The only wrong with your theory is that Palin wasn't selected VP untill August 29, 2008.

Or how about him addressing Obamas age attacks on him on June 5, 2008. Three months before Palin was selected.

But again, comparing an actual nominated person getting news to someone who has yet to secure the nomination is BS.

and there has been plenty written about Bernie's age.
