pee-diddy 27 Posted October 21, 2015 WASH run game seems pretty stalled (READ: terrible). I know M. Jones has a toe issue of some sort. But when he's back and healthy, do you see him taking over the run game for WASH?
kilroy69 1,247 Posted October 21, 2015 No. If he were going to do that he would have already.
R8RMick 242 Posted October 21, 2015 I see more value next year, when Alf is unrestricted.
IGotWorms 4,058 Posted October 21, 2015 Bench stash at best right now, more likely waiver wire material
Frozenbeernuts 2,254 Posted October 21, 2015 I had to wear a face shield when reading this forum so i wouldnt get stuck in the face by all the Matt Jones boners a few weeks ago. Now he is droppable.
Flgatorguy87 160 Posted October 21, 2015 People over react. Ride it out unless there is someone better. He's got talent and the season is still young.
weepaws 3,191 Posted October 21, 2015 Someone last mouth lol said it best , Matt Jones is a good pick if you are playing in a keeper league .
Kingstowne Dealers 14 Posted October 21, 2015 I was a big Matt Jones supporter, until Chris Thompson entered the picture. That's a mess.
yseguy22 8 Posted October 23, 2015 Washington at home. Plus matchup vs Tampa. Game flow should favor running game. Chris Thompson out. Trent Williams returning. If you need a bye week replacement, this looks like a favorable spot to plug in Matt Jones.

If you need a bye week replacement, this looks like a favorable spot to plug in Matt Jones. Yep. Plus he's been the Red Zone guy almost all season. I'm debating between Jones and McFadden this week PPR. I'm leaning Jones, but think McFadden has a decent week w/ a high reception count. IMO it's only a matter of time before Jones gets lions share of reps – especially if WAS gets 3 or 4 games back. I still believe he's this years Jeremy Hill. Challenger 72 Posted October 23, 2015 Thompson is out, Morris sucked last game. This is probably last chance for Jones to steal the spot light. I hope he can gain most carries before Thompson is back.
Mike Nice 40 Posted October 23, 2015 This is the week Matt Jones takes over and will be the guy after the bye week
Challenger 72 Posted October 23, 2015 https://twitter.com/john_keim/status/657648064895782912 For what it's worth, Matt Jones said he will get the third down carries.... we will see.
giraldi02 474 Posted October 23, 2015 In the leagues that Matt Jones was available, I picked him up and dropped Christine Michael. I think this is the week that Jones supplants Alf for good.
TennisMenace 156 Posted October 23, 2015 I'm tired of thinking every week will be Matt jones' week. Just when you are ready to bury Alf, he rises from the ashes.

pee-diddy 27 Posted October 24, 2015 I'm all in on Matty this week too. Both PPR leagues
kilroy69 1,247 Posted October 24, 2015 I am going to start him this week. he has the chance to explode.
nobody 2,667 Posted October 24, 2015 I was starting him this week, but now that I see everyone jumping on his nuts, I'll have to reconsider. Fade the public.
the spanker 28 Posted October 25, 2015 In the leagues that Matt Jones was available, I picked him up and dropped Christine Michael. I think this is the week that Jones supplants Alf for good. I did the same exact thing. Let's hope it pays off for both of us.
southcarolina 166 Posted October 25, 2015 Starting Jones over Joseph Randle today in a 1PPR league. Hoping for 5 receptions, 50 total yards and a TD
NewbieJr 541 Posted October 25, 2015 I drank the Kool Aid after his 130+ yards/2 TD performance in week 2. He's sacked since then but I've held on to him. Everything lines up nicely for him this week. If he still sucks, he's officially waiver wire material.
StrikeForce 11 Posted October 25, 2015 I dropped Jones and Morris a couple of weeks ago. They were both just taking up space on my bench. I think they've both been picked up by other people.

Same here for me, although I only owned Jones. I just don't have room to stash RBs when you have byes and short rosters. I wish him well though.

Yeah, I dropped Jones for Barnidge, and Morris for Buck Allen (since I have Forsett), and he didn't pan out. If I had to own one, I'd want Jones.
pee-diddy 27 Posted October 25, 2015 Seems like WASH does not value the run much. (yes, I know it doesn't help when they're always playing from behind... but still...)
Challenger 72 Posted October 25, 2015 Jones played 90% of the snap... but didn't matter, they barely ran. At least that's a positive.
pee-diddy 27 Posted October 25, 2015 Didnt watch that game nor seen any highlights yet. 90% is very positive.
Kingstowne Dealers 14 Posted October 25, 2015 I watched the game. The Redskins are trying to run the offense through Kirk Cousins. Nuff said.
yseguy22 8 Posted October 26, 2015 Unfortunately this was about the worst game flow for Matt Jones. Skins trailed almost the entire game (by 24 at one point). Only 16 rush attempts for 50 yards as a team. I'd like to say better days ahead but Skins have a bye week coming up and Chris Thompson will likely return week 9 at which point Matt Jones will lose the 3rd down work. Love the talent on this kid but his rookie campaign is shaping up as a frustrating game flow dependent RB3 in a 3 headed committee. Outside of keeper league and dynasty is he waiver wire material? weepaws 3,191 Posted October 26, 2015 His value will be for next season not this one .

kilroy69 1,247 Posted October 26, 2015 I will be dropping him this week. I am not getting sucked into thinking he has a juicy matchup again only to watch him put up 8 points or less.
weepaws 3,191 Posted October 26, 2015 Worst thing would be for the Redskins to go back to RG 3.
IGotWorms 4,058 Posted October 26, 2015 Worst thing would be for the Redskins to go back to RG 3. Alf produced very well when RGIII was QB, and RBs generally tend to do very well when there is a running QB at the helm. Not saying RGIII would be good for the Skins but he might be good for whoever is carrying the rock
Filthy Fernadez 2,696 Posted October 26, 2015 I will be dropping him this week. I am not getting sucked into thinking he has a juicy matchup again only to watch him put up 8 points or less. This. That focker killed several DFS yesterday when I believed the report that he was going to get a huge amount of carries. FML........
