Voltaire 4,570 Posted January 27, 2016 Anyone who votes for Trump is stupid. There is not one legitimately intelligent reason to vote for this guy. Once you look around at the other options, you get the same sinking feeling. So then when you're forced to re-evaluate everyone a second time, it's at that point you realize that Trump offers a hilarity factor that the others simply cannot match. So as I said, not an intelligent reason to vote for him. Look, I don't like his temperament, his vacuous thought process, his ego, or any number of outrageous things that he says. He sounds like a professional wrestler rather than a president. The writers for Back to the Future say they had Trump in mind when they designed the character Biff, and I see the resemblance. Voting for Trump really is like voting for Biff. But then he's not corrupt, he's not a social issues hardliners, he's not inclined to invade some Islamic ah1thole, he's not a gridlock guy. He can make deals. On a number of issues, he's the most centrist politician availible and he can plausibly pivot to the center if he makes it out of the primary. Republicans will win the south. By embracing the police, bashing BlackLivesMatter, promoting protectionist issues on trade, picking fights on anti-corruption/cronyism, he can raise hell on Hillary in the Midwest to put him over the top. Voltaire 4,570 Posted January 27, 2016 There's a lot of white trash out there but not enough to win a presidential election by themselvesYeah. Trump will lose big but I don't care. It's not like I'm emotionally invested in this election. I already view it as a disaster regardless. I've been helping the Dems against the GOP for four presidential elections in a row, but I've never actually been a Dem. If Hillary wants my help to beat Cruz, Rubio, or Jeb! she'll have it. Fock them. If she wants it to beat Trump though, she can look someplace else. I'll vote for the obnoxious, loud, rich birther.

By telling people to just do what he says? Please, this isn't like business. I think plenty of gridlock given he is an uncivil windbag who has insults everyone and hidden behind "I'm just not PC". Centrist? Maybe, hard to tell given his ever changing views on issues and debate participation.

hoytdwow 202 Posted January 27, 2016 I consider Trump because they all suck, but at least he's out front on the Muslim terrorist issue. No he isn't. He calls for 12 million people to be deported, which is impossible, and for banning muslims from entering the US, which is unAmerican. RLLD 3,455 Posted January 27, 2016 So is Trump the beneficiary of anger or is Cruz the victim of his persona and public perception? The anger thing will eventually giver way to other stuff, and Cruz can likely repair the persona a bit, i still think that Rubio is the best of the worst possible outcomes....
