Not really the same or even ironic.

Anyone who votes for Trump is stupid.

There is not one legitimately intelligent reason to vote for this guy.

Once you look around at the other options, you get the same sinking feeling. So then when you're forced to re-evaluate everyone a second time, it's at that point you realize that Trump offers a hilarity factor that the others simply cannot match.

I don't vote for a guy based on hilarity....especially one that will bend us all over and fock us without the courtesy of a reach around or lube.

So as I said, not an intelligent reason to vote for him.

Look, I don't like his temperament, his vacuous thought process, his ego, or any number of outrageous things that he says. He sounds like a professional wrestler rather than a president.

The writers for Back to the Future say they had Trump in mind when they designed the character Biff, and I see the resemblance. Voting for Trump really is like voting for Biff.

But then he's not corrupt, he's not a social issues hardliners, he's not inclined to invade some Islamic ah1thole, he's not a gridlock guy. He can make deals. On a number of issues, he's the most centrist politician availible and he can plausibly pivot to the center if he makes it out of the primary.

Republicans will win the south. By embracing the police, bashing BlackLivesMatter, promoting protectionist issues on trade, picking fights on anti-corruption/cronyism, he can raise hell on Hillary in the Midwest to put him over the top.

Gonna be hard to pivot to the center after the sh1t he said about Mexicans and Muslims, not to mention his sexist attacks on women. Kiss all those voting blocs goodbye. Basically leaves angry white men :dunno:

Eh, since I'm white trash through-and-through, I understand the appeal better than most.

A lot of people agree with what he said about Muslims. What did he say about them that's so terrible?

There's a lot of white trash out there but not enough to win a presidential election by themselves

Look, I liked the Republican Party back when fiscally responsible guys like Kasich were running it. I was a Republican myself back then. Kasich is my #1 choice.

These special interest owned Bushtarded borrow-and-spending chickenhawks need to go and for all his flaws, if Trump can grease their slide into oblivion, Trump is part of the cure.

If the cure is losing 40 states so the crazies finally get pushed to the sidelines, you're right

Yeah. Trump will lose big but I don't care. It's not like I'm emotionally invested in this election. I already view it as a disaster regardless.

I've been helping the Dems against the GOP for four presidential elections in a row, but I've never actually been a Dem. If Hillary wants my help to beat Cruz, Rubio, or Jeb! she'll have it. Fock them. If she wants it to beat Trump though, she can look someplace else. I'll vote for the obnoxious, loud, rich birther.

Ummm, yeah, he is one of the most inclined to bomb anyone and slide right into war so he can show how bad as a he thinks he is.

Make deals?

By telling people to just do what he says?

Please, this isn't like business. I think plenty of gridlock given he is an uncivil windbag who has insults everyone and hidden behind "I'm just not PC".

Centrist?

Maybe, hard to tell given his ever changing views on issues and debate participation.

The little bit Trump has proposed would cost more than what many others are saying and he has no way to pay for it.

He may be the most fiscally irresponsible candidate there is besides maybe the Bern.

It's dumb Bunny. People have to see the light with Donald. He's an Attention Whoore. Nothing more. Just petty.

I get the whole anti-establishment, tea party stuff, I really do. But Trump is not the guy to rally behind.

The Bern has told you exactly how he's going to pay for his proposals: tax increases.

Last candidate to say that was Walter Mondale

Given the level of support for this guy I want to better understand the mentality behind it, there is something going on there. I have heard people refer to the anti-establishment, but that is Cruz.....so why isn't HE the guy?

I consider Trump because they all suck, but at least he's out front on the Muslim terrorist issue. He gets one important thing right, which is more than I can say for the rest. And I consider Bernie because they all suck, but at least he's out front on the Wall Street thieves.

No he isn't. He calls for 12 million people to be deported, which is impossible, and for banning muslims from entering the US, which is unAmerican. That's not being out front, that's pandering.

He called for banning Muslims from entering the U.S.? I thought he said a temporary ban until we can be assured they are properly vetted? But if he's calling for an outright ban, I'm all in.

I think like the tea party, most Trump supporters are driven by anger and resentment - at liberals, blacks, women, the media, the establishment etc. Amd having Trump get up there are speak hard truths or whatever is more important than his actual policies or how competent he would be as president.

Because he is a plastic Canadian with a Mexican name. He is also kind of a pr!ck who has a know it all attitude. Oh....and then there is that whole he may not even be eligible to even be president depending on what person you talk to and how the language is interpreted thing.

So is Trump the beneficiary of anger or is Cruz the victim of his persona and public perception? The anger thing will eventually giver way to other stuff, and Cruz can likely repair the persona a bit, i still think that Rubio is the best of the worst possible outcomes....
