tanatastic 2,062 Posted June 15, 2016 Before marriage and grown up stuff: Friends over every weekend, snacks as far as the eye could see. Rowdiness, yelling, excitement, life. After marriage and grown up stuff: Friends all have kids or moved, no drinking, few snacks, silent and alone on the couch while perusing fftoday, wishing for the good old days. For night games I like to meet up at the Tilted kilt for some so so food and great scenery.

Yeah...watched games with friends on Sundays...went to a few here and there as well. Kids...still did some of that. Now, son in travel soccer. Friendlies are on Sundays. So, I spend them watching him play...trying to avoid scores most weeks as I record the Packers and watch when I get home. That is very hard to do when you want to see FF scores. Djgb13 2,339 Posted June 15, 2016 Yeah...watched games with friends on Sundays...went to a few here and there as well. Kids...still did some of that. Now, son in travel soccer. Friendlies are on Sundays. So, I spend them watching him play...trying to avoid scores most weeks as I record the Packers and watch when I get home. That is very hard to do when you want to see FF scores. I don't think I could record the game and watch it when I get home. It would have been spoiled for me and I wouldn't really be able to enjoy it
Patriotsfatboy1 1,432 Posted June 15, 2016 Depends on what time of the season. - Early part of the season, we usually have a football game ourselves on Sunday, so we do that and hopefully catch the Pats game at my brother's or a friend - Later part of the season, we go to the home games. For away games, we usually get a group of guys together to watch the game and eat.

Wouldn't be able to get enough guys who want (or would be able) to play a game on Sunday (or any day of the week). But I make sure to always catch the Pats game on tv

I won't be getting that Texas BBQ anymore. Used to go over to my buddies house who had a big wood burning grill with a smoke stack on it. Swim in the pool, chill in the hot tub, drink cervezas, and watch the games out there by his pool

BunnysBastatrds 2,450 Posted June 15, 2016 Depends on if I'm going to the game or watching it. I may be in the top percentile of superstitious mother Fawkers. Going to the game- turn the radio on that carries the game for my now deceased dog. Did it before he passed so he could hear it. Do it now because he can hear it. I wear my lucky black button down shirt that will not be washed till the season is over. Still have the one fro the year that we won the Super Bowl. It still has stains from under arm deodorant and spilled drinks from celebrations. I make my wife and daughter wear anything jewelry wise and shirt wise when we are on a winning streak. They hate me on game day. I park in the same lot by the Dome. I get their early to insure I do. I drink the same beer and shots before entering. The year we won the SB, I had a friend offer me and the wifey an all expense paid lunch at Ruth Chris. Turned it down. Why? I'm an idiot. Once the game starts and we are in our seats, I leave and go to the concourse until something good happens. The year after we won the SB, our opening game was against the Vikings. One of the most I eventual games ever. I walked the corridor for an hour till we kicked a field goal. It's documented in Bunny/Saintslegend that all good things happen when Bunny is not in his seat. There are more, but those are the ones that come to mind. Away games are worse.

I had to laugh at your first post. Couldn't help but think that you and I were the models for Viagra commercials with the wifey wearing the Lions colors getting horny. I used to play flag football with my friends before every game. If I did that now, I'd need an oxygen chamber, mask, and vicadins to do it.

If I did that now, I'd need an ow then chamber, mask, and vicadins to do it. Let's just say that, when I run scout team drills in practice, I usually have to drink heavily afterwards. I can get a half-decent workout at the gym, but it is not the same as being chased by these kids who have a ton of energy, are in full pads and weigh more than I do. BunnysBastatrds 2,450 Posted June 15, 2016 Coolest ass ritual. I forgot to do it ONCE in ten years. It was raining outside that afternoon. Was making bloody Mary's. Wifeys tampon prolly looked like a Bloody Mary. She was bitching at me to get it together so we could get to the game early. We were halfway to the Dome when I realized I had forgotten. Me: gotta go back home. Wifey: What? It's a night game. We will never find a spot!!! Are you insane? Me: I forgot to turn the game on for Bogey. Were gonna lose if I dont! Wifey: This isn't Goodfellas where you need a lucky hat! Me: OK. Wifey: Freak! We lost. When we got home, Bogey was standing on the fence barking his head off while we were pulling in the driveway. Me: Told you. Now he has to listen to Bobby Hebert explain why we lost like we just did for the past hour!!!
nzoner 937 Posted June 15, 2016 Sundays are definitely a ritual as I host every weekend.I'm very fortunate to have the ultimate man cave(although it's on the 2nd floor) and one of the best parts of Sunday mornings is turning each of the 7 tv's on and deciding which games are going to be on which screen. Meglamaniac 529 Posted June 15, 2016 Sundays are definitely a ritual as I host every weekend.I'm very fortunate to have the ultimate man cave(although it's on the 2nd floor) and one of the best parts of Sunday mornings is turning each of the 7 tv's on and deciding which games are going to be on which screen. My Sundays are much the same, only 4 tvs in the cave with a full bar, 3 tap kegerator and multiple floor fans to move the smoke ( I have to smoke my cigar(s) during the game. Prior to the season I put out a menu for each week on my wife's facebook page and those that frequent my home for Sundays let me know if they will be coming over for that particular Sunday. This helps me determine how much to cook and lets me know if others will be bringing anything. I have a large group of Pittsburg transplants that come to my house so 1 TV is dedicated to the Steelers and 1 to the Jags, the other is always on the redzone and the 4th is up for graps depending on who is over that Sunday. Typical Sunday (most Jags games are 1pm) start cooking around 8am, set up serving area with chaffers/heat lamps/crockpots and have my first beer at 1030am,never before, it's bad luck!. Food off and all ready to eat by 1230pm, check my FF and DSF lineups, and settle in with my bourbon and cigar for the kickoff and guests arrive, usually 10 to 15, if its a Pitt/Jags game then 50 plus but that doesn't happen often. Once the game kicks off you are on your own at my house. Typical weekly menus Seafood Sunday- various fried/grilled fish, rices, veggies Mexican Sunday- Tacos, burritos, quesadillas, etc Italian Sunday- Chicken Parm, sgatti, sausage/peppers, meatballs Slider Sundays- Usually buy a variety of Hawaiian King rolls 12 packs, cut them in half and make hamburger, chicken breast, pulled pork/chicken and Italian beef, Phily cheese steak Ribs, Ribs Ribs Sunday- Slabs of Baby backs, Spares and beef ribs served with sides Porkapolusa Sunday- Pulled Pork, stuffed pork loin, chops and pork steaks Prime Rib Sunday- 7 bone standing rib roast smoked to perfection with smoked mac and cheese and mash tators Slow Country boil Sunday- mounds of red potatoes, corn, clams, shrimp, Andouille sausage and onions/garlic/lemons/crab boil Thanksgiving Sunday- Turkey/ham and all the traditional sides Wings and things- Variety of wings fried and smoked along with other deep fried appetizer type stuff and ABTs And last but not least once the games have concluded you must fill a to go box to the hilt and take it with you, to not do so would be RUDE.

Meglamaniac 529 Posted June 15, 2016 Pics dammit BTW,that sounds focking awesome I'll have to take some this year and put them on a hosting site. After hours of cooking/frying/grilling/smoking and many beers and a few bourbons/cigars and several hours of yelling at my sucky Jags, pics are truly the last thing I'm thinking about on Sundays. I've done this for the past 5 years so its just normal to me now, not something I associate with recording with pics.
