cousinal111 57 Posted October 25, 2016 Thoughts? I just traded Latavius Murray & a pick for him in ppr keeper league. Should I limit my expectations? The main reason I made the trade was to keep him the next few years.
Law 220 Posted October 25, 2016 I have him in 3 of 4 leagues. I liked what I saw early and they need someone as a legit 2 to Hilton's 1. I think he'll be a low #2 WR at best to low #3 at worst. I can live with that.
bobby heenan 60 Posted October 25, 2016 Ya ...I like him going forward ...I was able to hold and still do well...luck needs a guy with a big catch radius so he doesn't have to be perfect with his throws ...he needs a jump ball guy....I dunno if moncrief will ever really go off...but I think hell be a solid, consistent, play

polecatt 405 Posted October 25, 2016 When is he due back? It's looking like he has a decent shot to play this week. We'll just have to wait and see though.

cyclone24 1,836 Posted October 26, 2016 I'm going back and forth. I have that spot filled currently with Golden Tate. I'm not sure Moncrief is an upgrade....given that detroit suddenly remembered he was on the team
weepaws 2,517 Posted October 26, 2016 I would agree with you. Not to sure I would give up Tate for him either.
BobSanders_33 127 Posted October 26, 2016 I'd say Moncrief over Tate ROS. Both are #2 wr on good offenses. Moncrief is more of a red zone target.
weepaws 2,517 Posted October 26, 2016 Yea that's a very good point about Moncrief being a better red zone target. But I still going to say Tate.
brotherbock 349 Posted October 26, 2016 Yea that's a very good point about Moncrief being a better red zone target. But I still going to say Tate. Might Tate suffer again when Riddick comes back, though? Or do you think he's finally taken off and is going to stay 'up' now? Hard for me to tell. I don't like Tate as a person, so I can never tell if that's biasing me too much. He's not a bad pickup. But neither is Moncrief.

weepaws 2,517 Posted October 26, 2016 Oh yea that's another very good point , one that I didn't even think about. Riddick has been missing. I don't own him so I did forget about him. I would have to say based on two very good points made by two poster I will change my opinion and i will join the Moncrief side. More targets and more red zone looks. PanicAttack 13 Posted October 26, 2016 been hanging onto C. Coleman with the broken hand but thinking about just moving on and adding Moncrief.... Right move?
stonewall 647 Posted October 26, 2016 been hanging onto C. Coleman with the broken hand but thinking about just moving on and adding Moncrief.... Right move? Unless you are in a dire pinch, I would hold Coleman. He is dynamic.
PanicAttack 13 Posted October 26, 2016 Unless you are in a dire pinch, I would hold Coleman. He is dynamic. not in a pinch really. my WR are Jordy Baldwin Tate Fuller Meredith and Coleman. none are exciting but getting the job done I guess. you are probably right about Coleman that's why he is still on bench just tired of seeing the "O" next to his name week after week. [echo] 72 Posted October 26, 2016 been hanging onto C. Coleman with the broken hand but thinking about just moving on and adding Moncrief.... Right move? exactly what i just did... look at the play of the QB's.. its a no brainer.
brotherbock 349 Posted October 26, 2016 Speaking of Riddick, when is he expected back? He was #8 PPR RB before injury. He was said to 'be improving' back on the 20th. Haven't heard anything new since then. Here's the question: Moncrief at the moment looks to be playing this Sunday. Is he an immediate start, or a 'wait a week' guy? I only ask because I just acquired him in a league where my WR3 is Tyrell against Denver.
rrmcguire 36 Posted October 26, 2016 For me it's either him or Meredith...If he practices the rest of the week gotta go Moncrief
bobby heenan 60 Posted October 26, 2016 love the idea of moncrief coming back this week...i have a potentially beastly wr corps down the stretch in a high stakes ppr league.....can start 4....have aj, evans, moncrief, diggs, coleman and montgomery.....should give me some wiggle room....especially with aj on a bye next week moncrief has a decent matchup against the packers.... You clearly don't know Jack (not being mean but had to do it). Jack Doyle is the red zone target in Indy 2016 so far. Trust factor. Conversion %. Opportunity = Jack Jack is Jack. Dwayne has high ankle sprain. 2015 Red Zone Targets All Players TY Hilton #31 - 8 out 17 for 3 TDs (5 Total) Donte Moncreif #71 - 8 out of 10 for 5 TDs (6 Total) Coby Fleener #76 - 6 out of 10 for 2 TDs (3 Total) 2016 Red Zone Targets All Players Jack Doyle #14 - 8 out of 9 for 3 TDs (4 Total) TY Hilton #17 - 6 out of 9 for 1 TDs (4 Total) Dwayne Allen #91 - 3 out of 4 for 2TDs (2 Total)

I'm now looking at Antonio, Hopkins, Moncrief, Tyrell, TyMont, Lockett, and Floyd. My RBs are still a scramble, but if we can extrapolate from Week 1 to any degree, you and I are looking good there. brotherbock 349 Posted October 26, 2016 Antonio, Hopkins, Jeffery, Moncrief, Snead, Coates....On paper it looks solid, performance thus far has been underwhelming. Well, yeah. All potential and less execution there. Snead is streaky, Coates has been hurt, Jeffrey has been...Jeffrey. Just got Moncrief, but so far the guy I think has the best chance of pulling my WR corps together is Tyrell. Got him for an early good waiver priority when Allen went down, and he pretty much performs as expected. Bench him against great teams (Denver), expect good against mediocre and great against bad teams, and you're set. He's a great WR3. Although, if Moncrief comes back to expected form, Tyrell might be Flex material. Or maybe Moncrief becomes trade material for a RB...

Just throwing garbage at the wall all season. Early-season Ajayi and Duke Johnson as starting RBs at one point. LOL. I've managed to collect Matt Jones, Quizz, Gilly, Duke, Dixon, Smallwood, DWash-Det, and, if Yahoo gets its act together, TyMont for the RB slots. So that's decent production right now, heading towards anywhere from terrible to even better production in the upcoming weeks. It's a shell game this year. If he has a good week, I may see what I can get in the RB market for Moncrief. Thing is...I b!tch, but this is what makes FF fun It's a nice ride the years when I'm kicking butt and taking names with ease. But I'm having some fun trying to get the ship turned around. At least, it's challenging.

brotherbock 349 Posted October 26, 2016 So until Green Bay lists Ty as a RB, he will remain a WR in Yahoo. Yeah, I saw that. Ridiculous answer, given that they have often listed guys with mixed position status when teams haven't done the same on their depth charts. And they've at other times completely failed to make the change when teams have listed them--Joe Webb, if I recall, was still listed as only a WR for Yahoo the year he finished out the season as the Vikings' starting QB. And there are plenty of IDPs who are listed as LB,S who aren't listed on depth charts. It's a stupid, arbitrary position to take. But they've doubled down on it, so there you go. Gepetto 1,011 Posted October 27, 2016 Yahoo are the morons who listed Marques Colston as TE and TE only his entire rookie season; which I took advantage of, of course. Still, idiots.
brotherbock 349 Posted October 27, 2016 Yahoo are the morons who listed Marques Colston as TE and TE only his entire rookie season; which I took advantage of, of course. Still, idiots. They brought in all their 'experts' to justify it too. Really, all they should have to do is look at their published rules. Because, you know, league sites should have rules for these things. Oh, wait, they do have published rules. Rules talk about percentages of snaps at a position being the deciding factor. Says nothing about team depth charts. So they are deciding to break their own published rules for this one case, and felt the need to explain why--one 'expert' even going so far as to tell us all that we should be thankful to be able to start a RB in a WR slot...apparently he's still playing FF in 2010.
