Think the media isn't biased?

Recommended Posts

Numerous examples of them either outright censoring news stories on in some cases, making the sh!t up to further their goals.

Keep watching them though............they'll tell you exactly what you need to know.

Without any doubt what so ever the media has bias, I think we can all agree on that. I think the notion that they might not is funny, not sure that anyone still touts that as plausible at this point.

Yes. It's undeniable at this point, but at least the normals are aware of it. They ruined their own industry, all by themselves.

No there is not some great agenda or conspiracy against the conservatives. Hollywood is not out to get you lol.

Look, there is no doubt the networks have an agenda. That agenda is ratings and money. Of course they manipulate stories and choose what and how to broadcast said stories because they want RATINGS and MONEY.

I would say your linked video is a perfect example of this hypocrisy and deception. He mentions ABC, NBC, CBS, and CNN but none of the other networks. When the truth is, they are all guilty of these tactics. So he himself is thereby employing the very same tactics he is criticizing.

In my book, that automatically disqualifies anything he says. But feel free to resume your tinfoil hat circle jerk.

Of course you think that. How about this sunshine; take what he said about ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN and put that aside as you acknowledge that they all do it. Then post what here you've gathered about other news networks that show they all do it.

How about Canada having a law that requires the news to report the truth... guess how many stations aren't allowed to broadcast there?

Fox news, and Fox radio. The same Fox news that has defended its "right" to lie to its viewers in court. Of course, everyone else is the real problem, right?

Yeah...that one conservative cable show is the issue in a sea of liberal garbage....yep thats it.

Terrible take.

I have a more simplified belief. Everyone is biased.

A wise man once said "I think, therefore I am.". Well, if you think, then you'll think particular things. Those things create biases. Thusly, if you am, then you're biased.

Talk show hosts, writers, your neighbor, message board posters, your pets, all biased. And anytime biased people form a collective, that collective will assume a bias.

In short, yes the media is biased. And so are you. So stop complaining that they are the same as you.

That one conservative cable show that has to defend its right to lie to its viewers in court. The topic was media bias. Why not mention the one that openly admits it, and its viewers still don't believe it?

You're using Canada as a reference for being unbiased? They're Liberal as sh!t man. Yeah, no wonder they kicked Fox to the curb because the Truth hurts.

Also, post the link where they fought this in court to lie to people.

Talk shows aren't news, they're opinion shows, many times about the news. Big difference. The news should report the facts. They can give their opinions if they want, but at least put the facts out there. Most don't do that anymore.

Exhibit A. Fox lies, admit they lie, and its viewers still claim they tell "the Truth". I'd say you can't make this up, but I've read that book before.

Try Google. My tablet won't post links, or at least won't let me post links. Or, just keep trying to deny "the Truth".

Yep, just read the same. Fock off on the snowflake comment. A Fox affiliate was sued, not Fox news. The appeal is interesting, where it states the FCC laws aren't laws, just guidelines.

Did you happen to see the other link, that rates the news networks for accuracy?

They've got Fox at 60% for lies, mostly false, and partially false.

MSNBC and NBC comes in at 44% for the same.

CNN is at 20%.

So, fox didn't admit anything and didn't go to court? Doesn't mean they aren't biased, but it looks like there was some fake news at play. Was there ever a retraction about that claim?

So the networks are biased, and water is wet.

What happened to free market capitalism? What happened to freedom of choice? Aren't these cornerstone mantras of the Right? CBS, ABC, NBC are corporations - just like anything else. Are you suggesting censorship? Are you suggesting free market capitalism only if it aligns with you own personal biases?

Nobody is keeping anyone from up starting their own biased network - Fox has in fact already got a jump on it. Where's the fake outrage over that?

And I was wrong. I'm not the one claiming everyone is biased 'except' Fox. I'm saying all of them are.

Most people are aware that fox is to the right. The problem is the people pointing the fingers at them are just as bad if not worse to the left.

Can we just agree....radio is far right, print and television save Fox News is liberal and move on?

Didn't think this was disputable?

There's a good quote from John Swinton about the media if anyone wants to post it. It's on Wikipedia. Google John Swinton 1980 speech.

Maybe it's just a perception.

If you looked at the Leaning Tower of Pisa long enough then looked at something perfectly level, some people would swear the level one leaned the other way.

Also, maybe it's construed as being Right leaning because they go out of their way to show how slanted the others are.

Funny thing about saying who's the bigger offender - depends on what side of the street you're standing on.

I get and understand the networks are biased - and I agree, they are. But what I don't get is the Right's upheaval over it. They preach, scream and rant for deregulation, individual liberty and freedom and free market capitalism. Up until that is the system differs with their own biases - THEN it's a problem.... CBS and the rest are in the biz of making money, just like everyone else.

Back during the campaign circus, Trump's tax scandal was front and center... How many times did we hear the Right beat the drum and proclaim that Trump was simply utilizing the tools allotted to him under the law.....about a million? Isn't that what CBS and the rest are doing, operating a free market corporation, utilizing the tools alloted them under the law?

You want others to admit so much bias...but you can't do the same about Fox.

What did making money have to do with Hillary getting questions before her debate with Bernie? Hillary gets ratings?

That's an internal problem - one that should have been delt with, possibly legally.

Cmon. Watch fox and friends, the 5' or that noonhour chick show.....heavy right leaning.

I'm republican and I'm not sure how one could argue this.
