Is there anyone who doesn't hope Lonzo Ball is a total bust?

Recommended Posts

NBA summer league debut, Ball 2-15 from the floor. Lavar, anything to say? Rofl

How did Malcolm Brogdon do in the summer league last year?

Summer league doesn't mean much and I really like Lonzo as a prospect. It's a shame his dad is such a d1ck.

It amazes me how some wish badly on a kid just because of his Dad. Lonzo can't be anymore different that

Lavar.

Can't wait until the lakers demand he see a shooting coach and standardize him form and LaVar takes issue

Then he needs to sack up and tell his father to butt out and mind his own damn business.

Saw the highlights, quite impressive. He was playing at a different speed then everyone else.

If I was the coach I'd say "yeah yeah, you can pass, now just work on your outside shot!"

Yah. And atleast he's not hurt already, like a certain #1 overall pick.

Rolled ankle 2 weeks recovery. Big deal. The Lakers are awful. I like Lonzo tho.

As awful as the Lakers are, they're still twice as good as the sixers. 10-72 in the East is like 4-78 in the West. They'll be back in the playoffs before them too.

I saw the highlights too and I am impressed. I didn't expect anything special, but he seems to have it.

I take back what I said earlier in this thread.

I hope he's a big flop.

Played much better in the second game. Seems to be a real good ball distributor. Of course, only about 10% of his competition is NBA-level talent.

I would be willing to make you a bet that the Sixers have a better record this year. I also think Philly has an outside shot at being a 7-8 seed this season. The Lakers have no chance in hell of making the postseason.

if we are judging on summer league. Tatum is a HOFer

Correct. Any top draft pick should shine in the summer league. It's comparable to week four of NFL preseason. A bunch of nobodies trying to make an impression.

Again, the East is a joke. Has been for 20 years.

That may be true but Philly is better than LA now and will make the playoffs again sooner.

What do you want to bet? I don't think either will make the playoff's this year, but LA will make them in 2019.

The Sixers are cursed dude. They have a potential all-star lineup and none of them can stay healthy. It's one injury after another. I never believed in curses, but something is focked up.

I think this is a little overblown.

Embiid is injury prone no doubt. Simmons had a freak fracture.

Otherwise, who is hurt? Noel was injured when they drafted him, he got healthy and never suffered a major injury again. Fultz rolled his ankle - it happens.

Sixers are in a far better position than LA. The Lakers just traded their best young player for a year of Brooke Lopez. They are awful.

I'm not sure how you can call a team that won twice as many games in a much tougher division awful, but we all have our own special way of making our beliefs fit into whatever box we have.

You also must not forget that Paul George being a Laker in the near future is a foregone conclusion.

Lonzo, George, Ingram, Randle, Lopez is a solid starting 5 IMO. We just need some veteran bench presence.

The Lakers record was worse than Philly's last year by 2 games and PHL got significantly better while LA stayed the same or got worse.

My bad. Was looking at the season prior. I'll take your bet on the first to make the playoffs either way. I'd just rather make it something fun, like the loser sends a little care package of local snacks to the winner.

Are you a Laker fan? How about the hat of your choice within rea$on delivered to your house? ie. you win and I order / pay for your new Laker hat and send it to you, vice versa and you send to me. First team to the playoffs meaning by season, not first team to clinch.

I wouldn't count on Paul George. Sure, there's a chance. But to add him to the list of L:aker players is kind of silly.

I will say that Ingram looks better from what I can see. They are a lot like the Sixers in that they knew they had to hit the bottom in order to get real talent and start to improve. It will be interesting to watch both improve

Yah. I've been a Lakers fan my entire life. Sounds good. How about a 30$ limit. Hat, shirt, whatever.

Wouldn't be the first time.

I'll owe 90sbaby 50$ if Trump doesn't resign or get impeached by the end of his first term. Doubt that will happen unless the Dems win control of the senate next year.

Either way, both bets make watching a terrible product a bit more interesting. :)

Smart move for Lonzo Ball to switch to NIKE shoes. Grant Hill practically ruined his career with some crap shoes.

Lonzo wearing Nikes on the court is obviously a genius level marketing strategy we couldn't possibly understand.

Maybe 90'sbaby will lay it all out for us soon.
