There is no actual "proof" of any wrongdoing, where they are on this is inference and intent.

They hope to paint a picture of Trump intending to influence against a political rival. It is their hope that they can manipulate people to accept that his intent was there, regardless of actual acts or evidence.

They reopened the investigation back in February; months before Trump spoke with Ukraine President.

That shocked the left because they didn't know their frontrunner Biden was already under investigation. It also shocked them because the river of dirty money that ran through Ukraine. Billions of IMF and US aid monies are missing. 

What the left doesn't realize yet is that Mulvaney's 'slip' was designed to bring up the DNC server, Crowdstrike and their whole rotten charade.
