The country has generally been doing pretty good the last 20-30 years, and i think we are on a pretty good path for 20-30 years down the road. Yeah there will be both crashes and booms, but overall I am pretty optimistic.

I am worried about the national debt and would like to see that gotten under control in the next decade.

Unemployment in the EU is over 7%, they have negative interest rates and are teetering toward recession. Japan isn’t any better off that the EU.

All the resent disruption in the ME would have gas prices above $5 a gallon 5 years ago. Since we have become the leading oil producer in the world these thing don’t affect our economy. MAGA

Yes, there was legal separation of the races in the south and forced segregation in the north. I was just discussing housing prices and neighborhoods. I don't have many issues with my neighbors. (Other than the young ones always smoking stinky weed; all races.)

I used to live in the suburbs (Canton and Woodstock, GA) but it's too far of a commute. Lovely neighborhoods, but really too far away for a person like me who is single. Suburbs are more fun for families and couples.

Below is the demographics of where I live. There are significantly more "minorities" than white people. We have low crime, good property values, and good salaries, so I am not too concerned. I lived my whole life in Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota where the demographics are 99% white. It was a shock at first, but now I enjoy it. The main benefit is the food, we have 3 chinese grocery stores and 2 indian grocery stores and I am now a huge fan of Indian/Asian cooking now. I rarely if ever ate real asian food where I used to live.

If I move away from here, which I may. The food will be what I miss the most.

Matter a fact, if a majority of the immigrants that came here were Asian I wouldn’t have an issue with it. They contribute immediately to our society. I was genuinely curious what you thought. You are a pretty normal white guy. You fish, you work in the oil industry and you’re from the Midwest. It doesn’t bother you at all that your children will grow up in a completely different country than you grew up in? It bothers me. The city I grew up in and still live in had about 5,000 people, now it’s just shy of 20,000 and is over 50% minority. I wanted to live and die here, but probably going to relocate in the next few years instead. MAGA.

I did live in a predominantly white society until I was 30 years old, however for the last 7 years I have lived in a Kodak family. I have 3 nephews that are half spanish/half asian, 2 nephews that are half mexican half asian, 3 nieces that are 1/4 black, 3/4 white, and my kids will also be checking the "other" box for ethnicity.

Skin color is just that and nothing more.

 

The biggest differentiator is wealth. Look at the census for where I live, we are almost 50% between black and hispanic but the household income is 95,000 a year. People are not poor here, everyone keeps up their yards, the stores are always well kept. I would much rather live in a wealthy community with a minority of white people than a poor white location like Gary, Indiana.

Besides, we have pockets of all black or white or Hispanic, Asian, etc. I think there are countries where one can live if they like only seeing one type of people.
