LOL at the phone number that MK told the cop of the sorority house: Fellatio-20880. FE, is a new exchange... And the cop: "How do you spell it?"
DonS 3,292 Posted October 18, 2023 So I read some clickbait article about "disturbing" movies. The usual suspects were listed. One I hadn't heard about was a Greek movie named "Dogtooth". I watched it today, and while it definitely wasn't horror it was definitely weird. Basically parents raise kids completely cut off from the world. Kind of like extreme homeschooling. Slow movie and damn near p0rn in some places. Guess it actually got an Oscar nom for best foreign film. Oddly enough it's streaming for free on Kadoodle. Had to sign up for a library card (online) at local library to watch.

I don't like the narration telling the story too much, but, a gruesome death of each character each episode. Then again they did kill my two favorite characters first. Just finished E2. Nice touch seeing that character die while listening to remix of NIN "Closer" I also liked the easter egg of the "Hush" mask worn by the friend of Prospero. I noticed it because I always thought it looked like Dennis from Always Sunny.

DonS 3,292 Posted October 20, 2023 Wife and I are enjoying Fall of the House of Usher so far. Just finished E4. I love EAP stories so I appreciate how each episode is based on a different story. For the "Murders in the Rue Mourge" episode the gal was killed by a primate. Not an orangutan but close enough. For the "Black Cat" I told my wife he would eventually cut out the cat's eye. I think in the story the main character was an alcoholic, but for this show a druggie works. For the black chick I'm already calling it for "A Telltale Heart". I saw it once on a crap VHS copy years ago and don’t remember it much. Blood and Black Lace by the same director was really good. Not really Corey but very stylish movies.

Main one I didn't like the setup for the last test without going into spoiler details. There were too many ways it couldn't have worked out that made it seem like luck that it did. Soccer kid wasn't necessary. Great horror movie though. The first two tests were awesome. Including the imaginary one that gave you a look into Jigsaw's mind and allowed the movie to stand on it's own a bit if you'd never watched a saw before. Horseman 2,453 Posted October 25, 2023 In My Mother's Skin I wouldn't rank too high but was worth the watch. Subtitled and off the wall in the Chinese horror fashion.
